The view

So here's the thing, we were given a room card for 228. The only problem was that that room number did not exist at the hotel. I was traveling with my father on a cane and I have ms. So while it may seem simple to carry bags back down the long corridor to the elevator to go back downstairs, it's not as simple for us. And when we got back downstairs, no one was behind the counter. So we had to wait and wait and wait for assistance. An apology was extended, and my dad received a free water, and for that I was grateful.

Never stayed at a Best Western before but it was great. I would say comparable to a Comfort Suites. We loved our stay. We did get ocean front but not knowing the area didn't realize we were on the board walk. Not a problem and enjoyed "people watching" used heavily in evening and quite a few homeless but again, they didn't bother anyone, never begged and were very polite. Oh, the one night music was loud up the street, once you come in and close the door you don't hear a thing. Beds were comfy as well. The breakfast was wonderful every morning offering full breakfast with either bacon or sausage. l wish there were alittle more variety such as hard boiled eggs available as well, then I probably would have eaten more healthy. The staff was very friendly at the checkin desk & breakfast. The cleaning staff did an awesome job an here actually got fresh towels daily, unlike some of the higher dollar hotels. We stayed in room 222 ocean front and right across from the door to the steps which was also very convenient. Hotel was clean, room clean, beach was nice as was the pier. Terrific access to the beach, and one of the more underrated Florida Beaches. Room was cool and comfortable. Location was among a number of great hangouts and shops. Pier being right there gave us a great place to walk and views. Parking within the facility was very convenient. Easy travel to downtown, to St. Augustine, and more.

Smaller serving area. Perhaps could have had more stuff for sale, more vending, etc. One night the nearby public restrooms smelled enough that we noticed it nearby. Pool is small, but a nice respite. While it was a good value all things considered, probably a touch more expensive than I like.

I love the fact that this comfortable hotel was right on the ocean. Staff was very hospitable, our room was nice and clean, breakfast was amazing, although I’d say fruit produce needed tending to a little more often since there was rotten apples. Other than that, all kinds of events and food places and shopping were all within walking distance, even CVS pharmacy was walking distance (for emergencies). My husband and I stayed on a weekend that a really nice block party was taking place with amazing food trucks, awesome rock performances, and the sunset at Jacksonville Pier just topped everything off.

Location!!

There were two staff members that were quite rude to me because of my service dog. Wesson is a fully trained, certified service dog. He is potty trained, does not bark unless I’m in a seizure episode or he alerts that I need my meds immediately. He did not bother anyone, in fact most of the staff and even other guests, loved seeing my Shih Tzu service dog walking around with me. Overall our stay was great! Shout out to the two night front desk staff ladies I talked with outside while walking Wesson, y’all are amazing humans! The room with a view, it was beautiful!! 🌈

this hotel is in very good condition - and directly on the beach and boardwalk - location, equipment breakfast, personell all very good - nothing to complain. We almost stayed longer due to that - but unfortunately had to leave

I would have to make sthg up here - we were totally happy - hence nothing to state - well: maybe small request: pls change to silverware and less dispoables...we live in 2024 and the rest of the world tries to solve a climate crisis - US seems to ignore that from a European perspective...silverware, porcelain and dishwasher are an option that works well in other parts of the world - plastic and dispoables are shocking for an European eye at the breakfast table- but thats not so much an individual problem - it is a general one in US mostly seen still.

The property was oceanfront but our room had a partial ocean view. The room was tasteful,recently updated. The bathroom was very spacious as was the room. Comfortable bed microwave fridge in place along with complimentary toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was very good and provided lots of variety to choose from. Shopping areas and restaurants were just a short walk. A vender was on the beach with chairs and umbrellas for rent if you do not want to purchase them

I do not have any negative comments

This is a great location for any festivals. It's right by the pier and it's right next to the large festival space to the south. It's also very convenient for any nighttime activities. We had an issue with the iron and they brought up for brand new one so I could iron my suit for the wedding we were attending. Customer service was good. Breakfast was good as well. There's a really good coffee place around the corner called Cup of Job where we got our fancy coffee.

In particular, our room was on the street. Due to the nature of all the people and young partygoers, it gets very loud. Lots of people showing off with loud motorcycles, loud cars with bass music, and a general just loud after 11:00 p.m. This can be mitigated by choosing a room closer to the beach or on the side of the hotel. In our particular room, the blackout shade for the large window was broken. So at 6:00 in the morning we got up with the sunlight. We mitigate it the next day by placing blankets over the windows which worked.

I spent my high school years at this beach, i love the east coast. The location was perfect. The weather was perfect. In walking distance to stores, restaurants and nightlife. The beach was beautiful and the view from the pier was breathtaking.

My room was great, but the king size bed had dips on each side that I sank in to. They would have changed rooms for us, but it was 3 days in and we had a lot of stuff.

Property is basicly on the beach

Drug addicts hanging right outside a gate leading to the beach every single day and washing their limbs in the same public fountain that our daughter washed her feet in. We wanted to bring all that sand in to the hotel and wash there but my wife would not let me. Instead we had to find ways to wash our girl without touching the ground. Because of this we will not stay in your hotel ever again even though everything else was hosem, especially breakfast and staff (((
