This was the cleanest beach hotel I've ever been to. Maybe the cleanest hotel period. They tidied up our room every other day. The amenities were great. Almost no children until the weekend. Quiet. The garden and pool were excellent. This is the best hotel experience on the beach.i will recommend this place time and time again. I left our stuff out on the porch to dry all week and even accidentally forgot my wallet on the window sill all afternoon and it was perfectly safe. We were often the only ones at the beach early in the week, it was great. Room size was bigger than most. We will be back.

The staff was exemplary, from the front desk attendants to the housekeepers. The beach was a short walk across the street. The price was pretty fair. It was also nice to be able to buy a few extra hours on checkout day for $10/hour. That's actually much better than one hour for free when you don't have to be to the airport until late.

The furniture is a real back breaker, which wouldn't have been a problem if the weather had been better during our stay. If you get trapped in the room then the couch/love seat become incredibly uncomfortable. The shower really needs to be enclosed to keep all of the water in while it's warming up.

This location is fantastic! Very nice vibe with its own beach access. Almost feels like a hidden gem between all bigger resorts in the area. It is not luxurious and has limited facilities (e.g. no bar/restaurant or breakfast) However, the great location, beach and relaxed atmosphere completely make up for it! We also found several very nice restaurants in the area.

Reception was not great. But they had some plumbing issues and were a bit stressed out to get it fixed quickly (which they did). Also, the complimentary brewed coffee was either never made or it was very limited and we were always too late.

Loved the location. The pool was the perfect temperature and loved being so close to the beach. Nice to have access to grills and picnic tables. You can tell Hotel Sol takes a lot of pride in cleanliness.

We were bummed that a later check out was not an option, seeing as how we arrived after midnight our first night. We were hanging by the pool with friends and noticed they allowed someone to check in to our room two hours early, but were very firm about not allowing even an hour later for check out.

The look and feel of Hotel Sol was perfect. When I I book a place, relying on photos, reviews and websites, I'm never sure what to expect and am often disappointed. Not here. Exceed all my expectations. Peaceful, relaxing, gorgeous. I'll recommend to everyone!

The waves might have been better for body surfing.

Beautiful courtyard garden surrounding the pool was a very nice touch. The hotel was extremely clean; there was never a moment where you couldn’t spot an employee (or three!) hard at work spot cleaning. The front desk was helpful and friendly. We arrived for our stay on a Monday in early May and the beach wasn’t crowded at all, even on the weekend.

As a couple we really enjoyed our small room on the beach access side of the street. If you were to want the larger more family friendly rooms, they were across the street. I think I would not enjoy crossing the street to access the pool/courtyard and beach as much.

The place and beach were clean and it was not as crowded like the other beaches! A walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants which makes it very convenient if you're not renting a car. The staff were very nice and helpful as well. Katinya (not sure if I'm spelling her name right) was so helpful and gave alot of recommendations where to go and to get groceries and what not. We picked the full kitchen option, and we were informed beforehand that the full kitchen is only available in the newer building, which is located across the street (across the main hotel). Time wise- I think the walk is less than 5-10mins to the beach from our room. Having the full kitchen made it very convenient for us as we like to cook our meals. We were on the 3rd floor, which was nice because we could still see the ocean from our balcony. The hotel also has a bin of toys available for kids to borrow and play with while at the beach. Our boys def loved it! Overall, I think we had a very nice stay considering we had 3 kids with us.

1. The shower water pressure was weak and could be better. 2. We were only provided with 4 forks and 3 spoons in the drawer, so we were having to wash as we needed them. We probably could have asked for more, but we didn't bother and wasn't a big deal for us, really. 3. There is a coffee maker in the room, but it uses soft pods. I wish a regular coffee pot was available. Hot coffee is available in the main hotel in the morning, though. 4. Since our room was across the street, we had to cross the road each time we went to the beach. Just make sure to pay attention upon crossing because some cars will not stop even with the pedestrian light on. This isn't obviously the hotel's fault, but I just wanted to address it here for family with little kids.

Super cute room - the hotel courtyard opened directly on the beach and there were plenty of chairs to use. Sweet courtyard with cozy sitting areas - I only wish we could have seen it before the hurricane damage, but they have done a wonderful job working to bring it back.

We ended up being charged twice because the young woman working when we checked in didn't realized we had paid - but when we figured it all out the next day and called, the extra cost was removed and returned to our bank account, no trouble.

This cute hotel is located on the beach. The sand is white quartz. Most of the rooms are arranged on two sides like a courtyard facing the pool in the middle. Outside the ground level rooms are tables and chairs with umbrellas to eat breakfast or just relax. When you walk past the pool there’s a covered area with chaise and then directly onto the beach. It was beautiful and relaxing.

This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, and it’s very incidental, but the area seemed a little industrial. Very limited places to walk and have breakfast/shop. The bathroom is tiny. It was clean and updated, but the glass shower door allowed water to leak out onto the floor, so we had to use a lot of towels just to sop up water.

We loved being right on the beach. The location was central to so many things to do, places to eat and social night life. The rooms were a bit small, but honestly we sleep there the rest of our time is spent outdoors. Very well kept rooms, housekeeping was amazing and pleasant. Great water pressure in our room. Overall the atmosphere was wonderful. Nice set up of the beach. We loved how private it was and that it never got over crowded. Very very clean beach front.

I feel like the people managing the place could be more engaged with the guest. Seemed like they were always overwhelmed or too busy to even say good morning. The customer service aspect is in need. I was also very taken back and surprised by the check in process. I never delt with the confusion about resort fees and final payments with Booking.com. But the check in process created a stressful beginning. However, after getting through it our stay was amazing.
