Clean and neat. Friendly staff.

I am from out of state so when I read South Tampa Hotel and suites, I was expecting a hotel, but it was actually more of a motel. It was clean and neat both the property and the room but like I said, when you advertise as hotel and suites it wasn’t. I have to say that the price, when I went to pay, surprised me. Very very reasonable. I was only there one night, but I would stay there again if I needed to stay in that area .

The customer service is fantastic everybody is so nice and so friendly and so helpful and always around which was nice I like the size of the room I love the bed so comfortable clean just a few things and I'm nitpicking but I'm very happy with what we had and the visit was very nice when we're back in the area this is the place we will stay

There's just a few little touch ups that need to be done like the door handles and around the door handles need to be wiped the headboards please please wipe the headboards down they were not good the only other problem was that when we came in it was late we went to bed but when I woke up the next morning and I got out of the bed I noticed that there was blood on the sheets and I had not noticed it last night because it was dark when we came in and late so I really wasn't happy about that . you need to upgrade the food a little bit more

The staff was very helpful, friendly and responsive, especially Roger at the Front Desk. The room looked clean. (I looked under the mattress, pulled pillow case cover off, checked bathroom grout). Don't know if phone and tv remote were disinfected. I was surprised that there was a really nice kitchenette! I definitely would've used it had i stayed more than 1 night. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. I love that they use dispensers for toiletries rather than single use plastic bottles! I didn't try breakfast or the pool, I checked in late and out early.

Decor is dated, especially the carpet, which needs to be replaced. Deadbolt didn't work. Phone didn't work until Roger came and worked on it for a few minutes. No nightstand or light right next to the bed.

I was thrilled to discover that the radiator was not egregiously loud like in other hotels. There was a kitchen with dishes and silverware. The bathroom was excellent. The pillows were actually very high quality unlike major chains like Hilton and Marriott where they literally flatten underneath your head and provide no cushion/support.

Only criticism would be the fact that there are no USB ports for phone charging. It is 2024, and all hotels across the United States should have this at this point. It would be quite cheap easy to install wall outlets in the rooms that include USB and USB-C. The return on investment by doing this would be massive.

Check in and parking was easy. Room looked just like pictures and was very clean ( more than expected for pricing) Bathroom sink / mirror was especially nice and up to date( good for pictures or doing makeup). Room was large ( got a two queen bed), more then enough space for 4 people with full suitcases, Had a desk area, Small kitchen are with mini fridge, microwave (which was very clean inside) and coffee maker which they also proved coffee for and cups/ accessories. Ice bucket included as well and ice machine was a short 1 min walk from room. Had an elevator which was super nice since we were on the second floor and had heavy suitcases. Includes breakfast on site at a short walk on the first floor- Lovely set up with lots of options including a pancake machine which was delicious and easy to use ( makes them fresh in front of you!). Overall loved my stay and will most likely return if i visit the area again!!

In room hotel phone did not work- tried to use to set a wake up call and reach the front desk but did not work. Not that big of a deal since smartphones exists

This was a motel not a hotel and was expecting a bad experience. To my surprise, it was great. The room had 2 clean and comfortable beds. Large shower and clean bathroom. The soap amenities were really nice and smelled great. The room had a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Lots of tv channels for the nice TV. They had a breakfast buffet included. It was ok. Coffee was ok but no decaf was available. I would stay here again if in town.

Decaf coffee on buffet. The door on room 221 sticks and hard to open. The cheese omelette was not good. Cereal selection was great. Offer only milk, not just whole milk.

This was our second stay at Hotel South Tampa. Both times, our request for a ground floor room was acknowledged and granted. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed in each room was nicely made up and comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. There were several choices. Everything was well prepared and tasty. The pool is very nice although we didn't go in due to the weather. There's lots of parking space. The hotel is conveniently located and there's several local restaurants.

It would be good to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a smile, and nothing seemed like a bother when requested. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was near major stores like Target and Walmart. It was a very nice part of town.

The parking lot was a little tight but not much they can do about that. Breakfast was a very nice addition, but not restocked frequently enough. She kept it very clean and smiled the entire time she was working. The last 45 minutes there was no gravy left for the biscuits and no sausage. Definitely not a deal breaker, just worth mentioning

Our room was better than expected. We only stayed one night. Location was great for attending a concert at Raymond James Stadium. Would recommend.

Breakfast hours were only until 9am on the weekend. It seems like that could be extended a bit for travelers.

room was extreamy clean with all white linnen, its had a fresh smell and the room size was amazing, 2 x queen beds, furniture was modern and looked to be on the newer side, shower was perfect in size and worked well, fridge coffee maker were all in great working order, the self serv breakfast, had pancakes, cerial, pastries, toast muffins, omlettes and sausages along with loads of other items, was great for a free breakfast, the pool area which we thought would be weird being that cars can park around it was amazing, patio furniture, comfortabe and there was plenty, pool was clean with easy access. our whole time there 5 days was spent in a wonderfull comfortable and safe enviroment
