We never tried the breakfast however the stay was awesome!! We arrived later than planned but the night clerk was great! Friendly. All staff were smiling, friendly and professional!! The room was a little better than I expected. Clean, organized, and everything was as promised. Lodge was clean overall! Lodge was located on the out skirts of Town. Plenty of restuarants to chose from!

2 things. No cribs are available at all. We were traveling with our 3 year old granddaughter who has special needs. We put her on the couch that made into couch. 2: No discounts for seniors, emergency personnel etc. They only accepted AARP or AAA.

Last week, my husband and I spent the night at The Lodge on Lake Occonnee while visiting friends nearby. We were fortunate enough to be greeted and checked in by Gabriella, who was lovely, helpful, and knowledgeable.

As many reviews describe, many of the rooms at The Lodge are dated and could use an overhaul, especially when it comes to the bathrooms and room lightning. Our room (216) was clean and spacious, but the bathroom was worn and there was no overhead lighting in the room and the lamps were dim with awful blue lighting. Overall, The Lodge gets the job done, but the staff makes it shine.

Everything was clean. The bed and especially the pillows were fantastic! The staff was pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable. The pool was very clean and the water was the perfect temperature. The location was; it was close to many restaurants and activities. My husband enjoyed renting a kayak (the fees were reasonable) and exploring the lake--he did it twice! The hotel was the perfect quiet getaway for us.

There were no protein options at breakfast. Everything had lots of carbs. This could be remedied by offering boiled eggs (which can be found already prepared and packaged individually). The hotel had a major humidity problem when we arrived. It was so bad that a gust of different air through a door triggered a fire alarm! After that, the hotel started drying out. Whatever management changed to make that happen needs to remain, otherwise they will begin to see mold and mildew and have costly repairs.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits. Would of loved to have had sausage gravy though. And they had the usual cereals and bagels. Their sign says that breakfast varies and biscuits and gravy is on the list so I was just unlucky. Nice deck with pool (closed at this time of year). It said lake view but there was no real view of the lake due to trees and very dirty windows. Of course keep the trees but please clean the windows!

Bathroom needed updating. Shower floor was very worn, no exhaust fan. On the pricey side, paid $183 for king room.

The location was great. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was very nice. We had a great view of the lake.

Only a few things were a letdown. We were on the 3rd floor. I went to get ice to put in the bucket. But the ice maker on our floor didn't work. So, I had to get on the elevator to go to 2nd floor, and the icemaker on that floor also didn't work. Back on the elevator to the 1st floor to the only working ice maker. Hope they get them fixed on each floor. And the water in the shower didn't get very hot. Not to our preference.

Our room was clean. The beds were comfortable, but the fitted sheet and mattress cover kept coming off each night. Breakfast room was clean and breakfast food was ok. There was good hot coffee in the entryway 24/7.

The water pressure in the shower was poor every time I showered. There was missing tile in the bathroom and what appeared to be a slight build up of grime or dirt in the corner of the shower.

Location to Lake Oconee was excellent with access to nearby boat ramps and marinas. Property was clean other than some hair in the shower.

Our toilet clogged the first night, when I went to the front desk, the staff said maintenance left for the day and I had to wait until I returned from my son’s tournament the next evening to have the maintenance staff clear the toilet.

It was a beautiful property and very cozy compared to a more commercial option.

I really liked it, just think a few things should be updated. There was a stain on our comforter but it was not really a big deal. Me and the kids had to hurry to get back on the road and would have taken to go boxes if we saw some vs eating there. these are little things though and we really loved the visit and will be back.

Great location, very clean, friendly staff. The pool was cool we had fun and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back. Also not very far from the marinas and restaurants.

The shower curtains don't stay closed while in the shower. The microwave in the room sparked so I couldn't use it to reheat food. The pool could have been cleaned a little more and also needs umbrellas around the pool area. Other than that great place to stay.

The first person we met was very accomodating, but most of the staff we interacted with after that just did not have a hospitable attitude. The General Manager was great too, but we didn't meet him until we were checking out. But not holding the staff against it, we know what the hospitality industry is experiencing at the moment. It was very proximal to where we needed to be, and I liked that we could walk to a convenience store if we wanted to. No in-room coffee makers, but there was a microwave and fridge. Breakfast bar selection was very good.
