Overall, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and fresh. The decor and ambiance was stunning, and the staff was exceptionally kind and hospitable. Especially Tianca! She was really great! We did enjoy breakfast in the 1540 Room one morning, and it was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay!

One issue we had was that the water pressure in the shower would change several times while using it. The water would also turn cold at the same time. I did not mention this during our stay because I didn't believe this was an issue that could be easily remedied and was likely due to the age of the hotel. Also, we had intended to use the pool area, but after realizing that the pool was small and the bar was not staffed/managed, we chose not to utilize the space.

The lobby was amazing but the location is what really sets this hotel apart from others. The beds were comfortable and the amenities are nice.

The pool was closed which is one of main reasons we selected this hotel and breakfast is not included, you have to pay hope it. Off street parking is not an option, valet only @ $45 per night.

The location and the room was great!

The pool bar was not open at all and had to ask multiple times to have room cleaned.

I did not like there was no fan or the AC did not run because I need noise to sleep.

Great location. Walking distance to Ll the squares and river walk. Restaurant at the hotel. 1540. Highly recommended. The bed was very comfortable.

The location is perfect for walking all around downtown Savannah. Corner room had east and south views of town. Large room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful. They checked daily with to see if I needed anything. I usually stay on the park side that is quiet, but decided to try the city view side which was loud with street noise. The sounds did not bother me because it was lively. I wear ear plugs at night, so it did not bother my sleep and it was much more quiet later. Other potential guests might not like the sounds. I noticed a silver umbrella was available in the closet if it rained.

Housekeeping was sub par. Rug around the bed had debris on it, pantry closet appliances were dusty, and a previous guest's medication was overlooked on the bathroom shelf. Even though I confirmed I would arrive at 4pm, I had to wait an hour before housekeeping caught up. I just explored the area & enjoyed a coffee shop. I noticed that night that my towels were quite damp. I had to lay them over the chairs to dry. I also noticed that the housekeeper was chatting on her cell each time I walked to and from my room the next day.

The DeSoto Hotel is a beautiful historical hotel and the lobby has with exquisite paintings and beautiful chandeliers. The staff is very professional and their wonderful southern charm makes you feel at home. The rooms are clean and fresh towels each day. Great location for walking to lots of restaurants and parks. Also there is free public transportation from 7am - 7pm. Even though there a plenty of Breakfast/Brunch restaurants you must have breakfast at the DeSoto -1540 Restaurant. Try their Garden Omelette (farm to table veggies) and the best Southern Grits in Savannah.

The only downfall was the night noise outside the hotel. People Yelling in the street, Loud Cars Revving and Ambulance Siren sounds. My room was on the third floor and very comfortable but next time I stay, I'll request for a room on a higher floor.

Convenient location in the heart of downtown. Highly walkable to any destination in the downtown area including shopping on Broughton and attractions on River Street. The views were incredible from the 13th floor. And yes, I said 13th floor(!!) for anyone looking for something spooky/unique. All of the staff members were very friendly and interactive.

The outlet placement in the room was suboptimal. One outlet was behind the middle of the bed, and another was just behind the dresser. They could benefit from having lamps with USB / USB-C outlets on the nightstands - just a recommendation.

The hotel was exceptional. Its proximity to various points of interest, coupled with the amiable and efficient staff, made for a highly satisfactory experience. Moreover, the cleanliness of the establishment was commendable. The pricing is also quite reasonable.

Please be informed that the breakfast is not included in the room rate. Although the Booking website provides an option for breakfast inclusion, the staff was very accommodating and resolved the issue. Additionally, I would like to express my concern regarding the $150 fee imposed for bringing a dog, which I found to be excessively high.
