Great value hotel, you get what you pay for. Excellent location within walking distance to everything. Spacious room, full kitchen with large fridge. Good aircon, some street noise but nothing more than usual for city living. Great service from staff able to book an appointment to drop off bags early before check-in. Would stay here again.

Considering that this is a budget hotel - a great value for the money. Perfect location and very helpful personnel, easy to communicate and fixing all what we needed. "Vintage" style of furniture does not matter - photos show clearly what to expect. Late arrival fee was a bit of a surprise, but acceptable as it is a small family owned hotel. We liked the two bed room suite concept, it was an awesome experience with family. All of us in the family really enjoyed our stay at holiday surf hotel. Great bank for the buck for a family trip to Aloha state. Location was great, close to all the amenities, food restaurants, wakiki beach and Ala Wai Canal.

Underground basement parking is limited and bit tricky to park at some of the spots as they are very tight. If you don't need parking then this hotel is an awesome choice for family trip with two bed room suite with full kitchen.

The location of the hotel is excellent, across the street from the Ala Wai Canal, 5 minutes on foot from International Market Place (a very nice mall), 10 minutes on foot from Waikiki Beach. It is located quite close to the Waikiki Aquarium. The area is full of restaurants, shops, bars, the sound of the ocean. The hotel room was big, spacious. From the point of view of cleanliness, I have a few observations: it can be seen that cleaning is not done in detail, for example, the stove and the stove holes have not been cleaned for some time, as well as the toilet paper holder. Otherwise, the staff was very kind and professional. There were no incidents and during the entire stay I completely relaxed.

was able to stay past check out - paid 1/2 day, which is great when you have a flight at 11pm - basically adding another (less stressful) vacation day. the kitchen was fine; staff was friendly and accommodating; bathroom was fine; enjoyed morning coffee on balcony; had (paid)parking spot; location - (20min 1.5km walk to main beaches); shopping and pubs close; driving strategic - easy and fast to get out of Waikiki. If you are a family of 4 - it doesn't get much better.

everything seems so much more expensive then in the past visit to Oahu, this isn't specific to this property. Ultimately these are the times. 1) clothes line on the balcony would be a nice, but we made do with the chairs. 2) basic coffee machine would also be nice.

We had to change our dates, and he kindly accommodated us without any issues. Another great option is a late checkout option. We were thrilled to find that the hotel offered us the room until the late evening. * Full kitchen in the room. It had a stove, microwave, sink, and all necessary utensils, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy the convenience of home. For families, this is a big advantage, especially if you want to avoid eating out every day. * Excellent Value: Great quality at an affordable price.

Everything was fine

Good place to stay in Hawaii. We stayed here for 11 nights. Great location, 7 -10 minutes to the Waikiki Beach. If you ask, they might provide you with everything you need, like beach chairs, beach towels, snorkeling mask, etc. Cleaning is 3 times per week. It's a little bit old hotel, so some things in the room are old fashioned, but in good condition. Think of it as a retro vibe :) We had amazing views from our balcony, but unfortunately, the street side was too loud because of the road nearby. But if you have good sleep, it's not a problem. In a room we had a kitchen, so it's a big plus if you need a special kind of food to eat or just trying to save money on restaurants. Parking is available in the basement and priced reasonably. The manager was helpful and accommodating. Recommend this hotel!

Noise from the street (mainly VERY LOUD car exhaust) in the deluxe room (facing the Ala Wai Blvd) was really excessive.

A much more spacious accommodation than I anticipated, new appliances ( full-sized fridge, microwave, full kitchen), lots of storage space in the bedroom, AC units both in the living room and the bedroom, a nice bathroom. Loved that this is not a generic feeling hotel but more of a retro style place, has character: cute exterior and interior design features, units furnished with nice wooden furniture. The manager was quick to resolve issues: e.g. I accidentally booked 1 night less than I needed, and he extended the stay for me no problem, requesting a very reasonable payment for that extra night. Location is great too, right in the middle of Waikiki, yet not a very noisy area close to the canal. I would absolutely stay here again! Can't beat the price for what they offer.

The hotel has clean rooms and comfy beds! Strong wifi available (free) with screen mirroring to the tv to watch your own selection of shows. Location is a short walk to Waikīkī beach and the hotel offers beach equipment to borrow at no added cost (ie. umbrellas, beach chairs, inflatable ring) and additional towels for your beach days. Staff are friendly and available via phone to arrange these extras. Louvre windows are a bonus for enjoying the evening breeze.

Being an older building, the facilities advertised, while all available and in working condition, are not modern. There is always a balance when looking for budget friendly options but the comfort, cleanliness and hospitality more than made up for this.
