comfortable bed, had microwave and little refrigerator. We were pleasantly surprised by the towel art - an elephant ‘s head made from towel was displayed on our bed and there was a bow on the toilet paper roll. Nice touches! TV in room was nice to have.

Mainly can hear the neighbors from within the room - tv, water running, but understandable as this is an older motel.

The rooms we stayed in (we stayed in two) were both very nice...pristine even. Very clean, very newly updated...each room had a mini fridge, microwave, tv and wifi...all of which performed seamlessly. The staff were VERY nice and accommodating.

The first room we stayed in (#52) is next to a utility room in which a machine runs off and on all the time. It sounds like some kind of a pump. It could be heard clearly through the wall...especially at night as it is located directly across the wall from where one's head would be while sleeping. The noise made sleeping difficult...because the machine would start and stop...and when it ran...it ran for hours. The staff moved us to another room and the problem was solved. My advice...ask not to be placed in Rm #52.

The hotel is close to Arcadia NP Visitor Center, via car, as well as walking distance to the village of Bar Harbor, the grocery store and the boat dock and restaurants. The free shuttle stops next door for pick up and drops off across the street from the hotel. The Arcadia NP carriage trail is steps away on a short trail path. The bike rental shop is 1/2 mile down the road. The updated room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with supplies. The king bed was very comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and incredibly thoughtful. The location, although on Eden Street, was quiet. We would definitely stay here again .

No Breakfast, but it was a clean and comfortable hotel, not too far from Bar Harbor. It's a walkable distance especially if you haven't done a long hike. The bus comes fairly regularly too. Also, it's great that there are solar panels on the roof!! I was charmed by the creative folding of a towel!

Perfectly fine. It would be nice if there had been breakfast because it is just a bit far from Bar Harbor for walking and driving into Bar Harbor requires having to find a parking space (not always easy) and paying $4/hour for it. Of course there is the bus and it does come regularly and promptly.

Spacious, updated room with all the key amenities: fridge & microwave, table & chairs, closet & storage, comfortable bed. Walking distance to shops & restaurants & a short drive to the national park. Friendly helpful staff. We were really happy with our stay.

We didn't have hot water at first (it was the beginning of the season) but staff attended to the problem right away & got it fixed.

Wonderful staff. Fabulous housekeeping service--Shanda made a bow at the start of the toilet paper roll and created special designs with the towels--real personal touches one would never expect at a motel. The office managers provided helpful tourist tips. The facility doesn't look like much from the outside--especially in comparison to the Bluenose Inn Resort Hotel next door--but the rooms are clean, the staff/personnel are great, parking is free, and you can't beat the location within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor and a hop-skip-and-a-jump to Acadia National Park.

Wished the motel provided an exercise facility/area.

The rooms were better than expected and the location (for the price) was excellent. Staff was friendly, and the room cleaner always left us fun towel arrangements. We also enjoyed the Adirondack chairs outside our rooms (we were in the two rooms that were attached to the house at the top of the hill, not in any of the main motel buildings).

This is not a complaint about the hotel, just a comment and recommendation. We don't need fresh towels and linens every day, but we didn't see any way to indicate that to the staff, which we would have liked because we care about the environment.

April was wonderful. So helpful and friendly. Showed us how to get on transit that took us into Bar Harbor. We were pleasantly surprised our room was cleaned after we had stayed the night. Can't say enough about April and her service. Great place.

Cost of course. In a very pricey area so given that it was probably average on cost. Rooms had been redone very well. Wasn't sure what we were going to get but very nice.

The location was perfect and right near town. It was nice to have parking right next to our room. We were very happy with the cleanliness, porch, fridge and daily staff visits. We slept very well and were able to access both Acadia and town easily. Would definitely stay again and worth the value!
