loved watching the ferry load and unload. We were Very close to restaurants. it was a very positive experience. loved the kuerig in the room, including that on the web site might be a good idea. I would have brought my own . I love Dark roast decaf coffee! The facility is a funny shape with unexpected angles. Kids were having fun playing hide and seek .. Adorable. staff was helpful and friendly and the Kiosk with goodies had a good variety for those of us who didnt want to venture into the cold wind for dinner.

The breakfast was ok. The decaf coffee was horrible . it tasted like tea. There was a long dark hair in the tub. we are both short white haired people so...

The updated room was spacious, nicely appointed, and very clean; it surely met my needs. The view was lovely, although it was not representative of the photo in the advertisement. The location was a perfect downtown spot that allowed access on foot to all Rockland had to offer, and easy access by car to neighboring locations and sites. A few of the staff members went above and beyond to enhance my experience during my stay, which was truly appreciated.

The parking lot needed work with more clearly delineated parking spots, and more parking in general. Also, while most of staff were professional, showed true hospitality, and were friendly and helpful, some staff members were not; one was downright rude. Some staff training in hospitality will benefit future travelers.

Room was great. Did not have balcony but still had floor to ceiling window with balcony rail. Liked that bathroom had individual switches so that we did not have to listen to noisy fan while using bathroom. Breakfast was also quite good and staff at reception very friendly. We were able to walk across the street to the Ferry to Vinalhaven. Went without the car. Wonderful trip, passing the Rockland Breakwater and Owl Head Lighthouse and lots of little islands. Very reasonable. $12.50 p.p. Round trip.

When we got there they were tearing up the parking lot in front and paving the next day but not as bad as we expected since they stopped working late afternoon and didn’t start too early in morning.

Location was very convenient in that a very short walk got me to everything I wanted to see or do. The view, across the street from the harbor and the sunrise is quite pleasing. The breakfast is "out of this world." In 50 years of traveling both in work and leisure time I have NEVER had the level of choices and quality of a provided breakfast such as this. The array and display of options was quite surprising as each time one was to look in a different direction, there was more to choose from. It's the nicest surprise I've had in a while.

The party next door. Not sure what they were doing, but they did set off the smoke alarm and had a pesky barking dog. The dog finally got settled down and the alarm subsided and all returned to quiet, settled and as it had been ... nice.

Had a fantastic stay, facilities were great, rooms were clean, location was fantastic but the standout has to be the staff! They could not be more accommodating and always went over and above expectations! Every single staff member was amazing! My brother ended up staying here as well, he mentioned on checkin that it was their honeymoon, while we were at dinner staff rushed up and made towel swans with rose petals for their bed. Incredible! I stayed for 3 nights and was very comfortable!

The hotel, built in the 70s had recently undergone a facelift that was still being completed. The rooms bad been refreshed, and the public spaces updated. Rockland is less jammed with tourists at this time of year than its cousin cities and contributed to a more relaxing experience. The building was right in town and made for easy access to shops, a marvelous art museum and restaurants.

While the room was spacious enough, the bathroom was undersized for easy use. Interior building finish work needs to be quality inspected.

Spacious clean, functional rooms, recently renovated with taste. No noise. All rooms overlooking the harbor. Good breakfast. Staff very helpful, trained well and efficient. (I almost sound like a paid reviewer, but I was really impressed how well-run the place seemed).

All ok. Nice-to-haves: - Add another washing machine/dryer. - Invest in reusable dishes + dishwasher to differentiate from 99% of US hotels.

Staff - Very helpful and friendly staff. Always greeted with a smile and eager to answer any questions. Showed interest in how our stay went. Definitely appreciated her thoughtfulness. Room - Looks newly renovated and very clean (including shower facility). Beds were super comfortable. Breakfast - Good variety and generous servings. With breakfast from 6.30 am - 10 am, it provides our family sufficient time to catch the sunrise and still have time to enjoy breakfast leisurely. Was not crowded at breakfast room. View from the room - Great view; was able to see the harbor from the room. Provides a fantastic view of sunrise. Balcony - Good sized balcony with chairs for sitting. A perk for summer but did not utilize this time due to cold weather Temperature - Heater was not as warm as we would have liked it to be. To be fair, we also did not inform guest services until check-out when the staff inquired about stay. We mentioned it casually (not complaining). but she took our comments very seriously, was very apologetic and gave us a discount as a a way of compensation. Her attitude is amazing and impressive.

Breakfast was sub-par. Have had much better at other hotels. I was impressed with the cleaning staff the morning we left because the lady who went in to clean our room found an article of mine that I had accidentally left behind and she came out and caught us in the parking lot before we left and gave it to me. Always wonderful to meet honest and thoughtful people.

Breakfast was the only thing I truly didn’t like. Rubbery eggs are never great and the meats were not warm.

The hotel was located in a great little town with access to many other towns. The staff was very friendly and helpful in any way. The breakfast was great with many choices hot and cold. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to all. The price was very reasonable. We hope to return sometime soon...

The only problem we had was getting use to the 1 way streets to get in and out of our hotel, but you catch on.
