We love the atmosphere and the convenience of everything! The staff was wonderful. The beach staff did a great job setting up umbrellas and chairs

Making these minor suggestions: when the staff is aware of scheduled weddings onsite, reservations outside the wedding guests should not be on first floor. The first floor should be used for wedding guests. When booking at Icona in the future I will request not to be assigned a room on the first floor. Icona reception staff should also be able to identify returning guests! We were at this resort in June and booked again for September. We have been going to Icona for the last 3 years!

Loved having the option to use shuttle that would take you anywhere in Avalon or Stone Harbor. I also loved that the Blessed Mother statue was visible outside indicating owners are proud of their faith.

Towels given at pool and beach are so small. They are much smaller than a bath towel. The pool AND hot tub are “crazy” with Tons of kids. I didn’t mind the kids, however if you are there for a ”spa” type environment it’s not for you. Pool water could have been warmer.

The facility was lovely, clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Meals in the restaurant were excellent and a great value for the price. Parking was very convenient. Pool had very convenient seating area with food delivered right to our chairs.

Facilities are inconvenient for older people. For example, the 3 chairs in the bedroom had no arms, so getting in/out of them was impossible. Had to move chair close to bed/furniture in order to stand up. Bathroom had no safety bars near toilet. I had to use the lobby restroom - even in the middle of the night - in order to urinate. I have arthritic knees and cannot stand without something to hold on to. TV channels impossible to access.

The amenities! Having beach service, the shuttle to shopping in stone Harbor, onsite restaurants and parking! Worth every extra penny you’d pay for a block away lol.

It’s a popular wedding destination location. The wedding crowds were drunk! They dominated the pool and were acting ridiculous. Some were rude. Some acted like they owned the place and it was ALL about them like no one else could vacation. So annoying

We had a King Studio, which had a sofa bed. The sofa bed was terrible and very lumpy, so one person had to just sleep on just the couch itself. The King Studio is advertised as accommodating four people, but not if only one person can sleep on the couch. We paid a lot of money for the room and it should have been comfortable and accommodating.

We love the Icona. We plan each year for a week there and we are never disappointed. The facility and rooms are very clean. The staff are all very friendly. The location is right on the beach and not having to haul beach chairs or umbrellas is really helpful. I love not having to check the room before settling in for bed bugs and despite marijuana being legal in NJ (an issue at another hotel), there is never an issue with smoke smells or marijuana smells on the property. Parking is a breeze.

I never thought about the pool being small as being an issue until I read other reviews. The pool is smaller, but the location is on the beach and the ocean is huge. Occasionally it is full, but people are typically kind and give you space.

Rooms are a good size and beach access is great. Pool bar is very nice and service was very good.

Beds are mushy soft. I asked for a different mattress as the front desk said some mattresses are old. They did not have replacements unfortunately.

Beautiful and very clean property. Loved sitting on balcony overlooking the pool. Cool and windy weather during our stay, but walked along the beach anyway. The sand felt great and it was clean.

Walk-in ability at Brew Pub dining room for dinner was not possible (for our Mid March--middle of the week stay). We didn't need a reservation during our previous stay; this time we did. Not a fan of the dining area outside the club. Disappointing--because we enjoy the Pub. Went elsewhere for dinner. Regardless, would recommend this hotel for a stay at the shore!

Well kept hotel directly on the beach. Our favorite location on the Jersey Shore.

Beach service. Our loungers and umbrellas were collected at 4:00pm. Unacceptable for the amount of resort fees collected.

Very clean and nice.

We got breakfast and the menu didn’t specify that the potatoes had peppers. My meal came out and I am allergic to peppers. I had to send my plate back. It should really be specified on the menu, due to peoples allergies.
