Close to the beach, room was on first floor and close to the exit for convenient loading and unloading vehicle, rooms are perfect size. We LOVED the coffee!

Found a cockroach in the bathroom first night, and 2 more the third morning. Desk attendant said they were not cockroaches, that they were water bugs. Water bugs ARE cockroaches. It was real fun going through all of our things while packing up, to be sure we did not take any home with us. Because of the diseases they carry, we should've at least been given a free night, or a good discount off of our stay. We were refunded 20% for our last night, which was better than nothing. I really like this hotel, but I think the cockroaches should be taken more seriously. Also, the room was not decorated like the one I stayed in back in 2019. Nothing on the walls. Not "beachy" at all. Nowhere to put towels or clothes to dry.

I liked the pool, the water pressure was great. The room decorations were amazing as well as the fridge and sink and coffee pot. And the beds were actually comfy

Not enough pillows on the beds. Used the ones from the couch. The shower head was grimey I told the staff they said they'd take care of it. But I ended up having to go buy my own tilex bathroom cleaner and clean it myself. I left it clean like it should have been when I got there. And I also didn't like the fact their fire alarm system was extremely out of date and kept going off. I was there 2 nights and 3 days and the fire alarm went off 2x and we had to evacuate each time. Firefighters said they are there at least 1x a week.

Overall stay was very good. Priced very well, staff was nice, hotel and room were clean, walking distance from beach and shops.

No service to rooms. You had to take dirty towels, rags, etc to front desk for them to swap with new ones. There was a day we went to the beach early, came back and got in the pool, and wanted to shower and head to dinner. Around 4, I went to swap out towels and they told me I had to leave my room number and they would text when towels were available. As I walked back I pasted a room service cart and could see clean towels on the cart, so I asked the lady if I could get just 2 towels and she told me there were none available and I would have to put my name on the list and wait for a text message.

Rooms well decorated, Holtel was clean even though construction was going on. Loved the onsite gas grill. OH!! we can't forget them cookies OMG hot and good, but only on the weekend😒. Best part of all the alphabet store (ABC) is "cross" the street (70 feet). not across, cause that how you going to feel lol.

When I asked another worker if I could stay another night and she stated that they didn't have any more without checking, but I went online and got one?

They are renovating this property. We were in one of the newly re-done rooms and it was nice, and had a little sitting area. It was also nice to have a fridge and micro since breakfast was not included. Our view was the parking lot side, but that was fine because the weather was too cool to sit out on the tiny balcony. This was off-season, so the area and hotel were pleasantly not busy. The desk attendant provided suggestions for where to eat. And we enjoyed visiting Fort Macon up the road. This is not a fancy hotel, but it was clean, convenient, and the price was right.

The back of the hotel is on a marsh. There's a long deck/land pier that goes out to a gazebo. I kicked myself for not bringing binoculars because it looked like an ideal bird-watching spot. I saw a beautiful, huge blue heron in a tree when I first walked out there.

The only downside about this place is that it is not right on the beach. Not all of us can get places right on the beach any time we want. Palm Suites, if you don't mind being a few blocks in from the coast, is a worthwhile bargain.

Great location and very comfortable. Liked having a kitchenette and living room area. Washer and dryer on site were a plus as well.

My only complaint was the lighting in the room. The row of lights above the bed blew out the first night, and the rest of the lights, except the one in the bathroom, were extremely dim. It was the equivalent of a couple of votive candles.

The location was nice, the room was pretty and nicely set up. The view was pretty as well. The bed was super comfy and cozy, I like the use of 2 tvs.

The dock to the pier was incomplete, was kinda sad I really wanted to walk out to the end. The only bad thing I could honestly think of is making an entrance and exit sign for the complex. I tried to leave through the smaller exit and realized it doesn't allow me to leave the way I wanted and I almost clipped another vehicle.

The rooms have a very cute set up, and we had a little balcony that looked out over the marshlands and water, just what I wanted. It was just past the most hectic part of town, and so nice and quiet at night, with a good brewery nearby! The comfortable bed set up was such that you could look out, and the room had a nice couch, fridge, microwave, table and chairs. What I liked was that it wasn't the standardized look.

It wasn't a very busy night, and yet they put us in a room right next to someone else, who happened to be a bit noisy and it was a room that was joined to ours by a door. Great if you need two rooms, but the sound came under the door more than I wanted as we were very tired and needed to get up early to drive the hour to catch the ferry to Ocracoke. But as soon as I knocked on that door, the folks quieted down.

Location is great!! Beautiful view over the marsh and waterways. More affordable rate than almost all the other locations. Rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and have the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. Joey at the front desk is very nice and pleasant to talk to. Stayed here several times in April to complete a class at Carteret CC.

Some of the construction in the rooms is a bit dated. Tv locations could be a little better. Bathrooms look a bit old but everything worked well.
