This property has lots of chill things to do. I enjoyed the private balcony and also beyond the balcony was tables and chairs you could sit on and enjoy the view or play cornhole. I really enjoyed the deck, it lit up so beautiful at night, a very enjoyable place to sit and listen to the waves at night and a even greater view of the beach in the daytime. The breakfast is nice as well.

I didn't like that my stay was so short.

Everything was great. Breakfast and the coffee were more than just a continental meal. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom immaculate. Service was good for our needs. We got free passes to the Outer Banks Y because the pool was not open. Location and beach area wonderful! There was a sitting area with a day bed right near the balcony so you could rest and see the ocean in addition to the balcony chairs.

A brief warning for disabled people: There are steps and stairs everywhere in the Sea Building. The owners have tried admirably to make accessibility possible. We would not have been able to stay if we couldn't walk in some parts of the building. The halls were too small and the many turns in them and the outside ramp were impossible for the mobility scooter to navigate. Obtained help from a strong employee, Peter, to unload and load our stuff which included a larger O2 concentrator.

All of the remodeling looks FANTASTIC! We last visited in 2021 and the progress made to the hotel and grounds since then is phenomenal. The new gazebo and deck with the blue chair so beautiful. The friendliness dog hotel I’ve ever been in :) Also the coffee was great in the mornings at breakfast — tasty, strong, and always hot. Pool is nice , rooms and facilities are clean , staff is friendly , and views are beautiful

No Elevator for the easy beach access building and main building (not sure about 4 Season). My parents and dogs are seniors. Until we discovered that the handicap ramp could take us all the way to our room, we stopped using the 16 flight staircase. It was hard on my parents going up and down then anytime we wanted to take our dogs out or go down for ice and breakfast. But after discovering the ramp lead all the way to our room we started using it the rest of our stay. Not every room is able to have a balcony to help dry your towels and suits Maybe add a few more breakfast options like eggs, a breakfast meat ,or hash browns.

Location was great, the beach was right there. You could always get a spot with your family. The staff were kind and exceeded expectations. I requested, not sure if it was in my booking, but requested a patio and a tub, and got both and was able to check in earlier then expected. That is the sign of a good hotel when you can check in early. The women were always cleaning, which I love. There are restaurants across the street, there is a brewery not too far in walking distance. many other beaches with20-30 min drive.

I did not like that halfway thru our stay the got rid of the handles saying maid or do not disturb. They decided you could have the do not disturb sign or no sign for cleaning. People should be able to put maid if that eases their mind. The only complaint were their pillows, but we never did ask for different ones, so that is on us.

Located right on the beach. There is a walkway, you can use a ramp or steps to get to an outdoor covered seating area that has tables with high top chairs and a Adirondack chairs to enjoy the ocean view. The room is clean and comfortable. Even the non ocean front rooms have a view of the ocean from a distance.

I have mobility issues and have a hard time with steps. The non-pet building has steps when you enter. If you use the handicapped entrance that goes to the side of the building, there are 3 steps and then you have to walk to the front of the building to use the elevator. It was manageable for me but may not be for others.

Wonderful location, close to beach and anything else you could need. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I read some negative reviews but honestly I don’t know why this hotel would warrant them. I couldn’t imagine being here on the outer banks and being so put out by such trivial matters as in these reviews. Here is the deal. If you want an ocean front view then read the room description and book one. They are more expensive and rightly so. Otherwise, you will not have an ocean view because you booked the cheapest option. I requested ground floor and was accommodated. They had housekeeping daily. The room was clean when we got there. The air conditioner worked wonderfully. I think someone mentioned it was loud. I didn’t notice that. Even if I did I wouldn’t mention it. The dang thing kept the room cold like I like it. I don’t care how it sounds. The pool was lovely and not crowded. You could tell they took care of the grounds and maintaining the pool area. Now to the FREE continental breakfast. It’s offered from 7-10. They had PLENTY of options to choose from including waffles, breakfast sandwiches, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, breads for toast, pastries, coffee, juices and I’m sure other things I am forgetting. It was well stocked and those lovely ladies running it made sure to keep it that way. You could tell they were working hard to keep the guest happy. I saw complaints about this free confidential breakfast and seriously all I could do was shake my head. Lastly they have added (new since our last visit) a beautiful large gazebo style beach entrance. It’s gorgeous and has ample room and seating. The staff was very friendly. This was another negative in some reviews that I cannot wrap my head around. This was not our experience at all. The staff was nice and helpful.

This property was great! I have teenagers, and they loved that they could go back and forth to the room easily from the beach. Location was amazing. Across the street was Kill Devils Hill Grill which was so good. We ate lunch there a few times. Rooms were clean and updated. I loved how there wasn't carpet but a hard wood type floor. I am super picky when it comes to cleanliness. Bathroom was very clean.

I think the only thing I noticed that was a down side was no phone in the room to call front desk. This may be the way of hotels now with everyone having a cell phone these days. So this wasn't a huge deal; just figured I would mention. The hotel and staff were great!

The staff was very friendly and totally awesome.They catered to all my many questions prior to coming into town, answering them all right away through text messages, and went above and beyond the customer experience. We had a room with a view of the ocean, in which case the Inn is located on the beach. However, even if you dont have a room with a view, you only have to come out of the inn and walk to the back, and there is the beach.We got to see the sun rise in the mornings.They had nearly a full breakfast from 7 am to 10 am, with so many choices, and a pass to the YMCA, which were all included. They helped celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. The inn is in a great location to everything. The housekeepers came in every day to clean and make our beds. Everything that was done made our time there very enjoyable and relaxing. We can't wait to stay again.

If there was anything we did not like, we had such an amazing time that it would have outweighed it.

The cute little Inn is located in a wonderful spot, with plenty of restaurants and things to do. Easy access to the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Only ran into a small problem with the water (hot and cold were reversed in shower) but a quick call to the office and they explained about the water. But I was kind of disappointed with breakfast selection. Again, very clean and nice presentation, but no breakfast meat or eggs to choose from. I was hoping for a little more with the breakfast.afyer reading other reviews. Not a deal breaker, though! We still loved this place.

It was right on the beach, close to a Food Lion grocery store, ample free parking, had a wonderful free breakfast cafe, a beautiful pool, a convenient wooden staircase to the beach and a lovely deck with shade and wooden chairs overlooking the beach. The property was clean, well-maintained and had an outdoor picnic table and benches for smokers that was scrupulously kept clean. The parking lot and walkways were well lit at night. The front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable; Mikaela, Amber and Christine were very welcoming and helpful in suggesting a nice restaurant where I would be comfortable as a solo woman and I had a delicious meal at the Blue Moon Grill. Melissa was my housekeeper; she was friendly, polite and professional.

I couldn’t find an Ice Machine, but the Front Desk gave me a baggie of ice so it was not an inconvenience.
