From our booking, and throughout our stay we experienced an "old world" grace and charm that is rarely found in our fast-paced world. The friendliness of the staff, including Nancy upon booking and Joy throughout our stay, as well as the personal handwritten welcome note from the owner, made us feel right at home. The facility offered an elegant decor with an inviting and fresh appeal, consistent with that of a fine country manor home. We were housed in the cozy guest cottage that featured a large room with modern amenities and our own back deck that offered a fine view of a lovely garden. The breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and also excellent. We can highly recommend the Fairville Inn without reservation whenever you are visiting this Marvelous Land of Mushrooms!

What's not to like . . . . . . . . . ? Don't waste your time trying to find anything to complain about. . . . . it's not there. :-)

Quaint Inn in a scenic location. Thirty minutes from the airport. Very close to many local attractions with plenty to do everyday. Staff was personable and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Room was spacious and very clean. Small fridge and coffee machine were provided in the room. Outdoor terrace with chairs and a small table overlooked a quiet meadow. Plenty of parking. Coffee machine with snacks available 24 hours in the lobby.

Although the breakfast was very good, the menu was the same over our four day stay. It would be nice to vary the ingredients in the egg entrees. And offer french toast or waffles, instead of the same flavor pancakes every day.

A beautiful home with a carriage house, where we stayed and a Springhouse behind the Main. Our room Carriage House #2 was spacious, super clean and comfortable. Quiet and the king size bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast every day of our stay was perfect, Joy and the kitchen staff prepared everything top notch!! First morning we ate in the main house last two days we had breakfast delivered to our room. A menu consisting of four options plus coffee, OJ and toast. Our room was very nicely appointed and the spacious bathroom was modern and super clean. Nice assortment of complimentary toiletries were supplied if needed. All staff that we made contact with were super nice and helpful. I was glad we made reservations and stayed!!

There was nothing to note about anything that we didn’t “like” …..love this place.

The room was extremely nice and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the little snack and coffee lounge in the main house. There was plenty of parking too.

We didn’t realize that you had a limited choice of breakfast times. We were fine with it but it must have been that those that checked in first received their first choice, not sure. There was a small breakfast room so we realized that they needed to stagger it in order to feed everyone. It would have been nice though to know ahead of time.

Breakfast was excellent.property immaculate and well maintained. Only negative was no where to eat within walking distance. Property is on a main road although there is plenty of common area but no restaurant or lounge on site. Perfect for wedding venue or reunion where everyone stays on site to enjoy the many common areas outside.

on site food/ beverage or wine cheese reception would be nice. It's inconvenient to have to drive to get food/wine.

Beautiful grounds and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Spacious room, super clean, with a fireplace and balcony!

Maybe I’m a princess, but I thought the bed was a tad hard/ uncomfortable and the down pillows are not a favorite because they go flat. I would just bring a few comfort items for myself. My husband slept like a rock and liked the firm bed.

Loved having the gas fireplace and a comfy king bed. Breakfast was delightful. We could have in our room or in the dining room of the main house. We ate in the dining room. Nice chatting with other guests. Grounds are beautiful. Innkeeper was attentive and quick to respond...thank you Nancy! Lovely stay!!

The guy above us could be heard pacing non-stop for hours. It was pretty loud. Not sure if a rug would help but should be considered. Really not an issue with the Inn, but with the fact that he couldn't sit still.

we booked two rooms. Both rooms are very clean. we only stayed there for the night but we wish we could stay there more. the inn keepers are super helpful. We definitely will consider staying there again next time when we explore longwood garden.

It’s a old charming place with lovely grounds. Nancy, the woman who checked us in, showed us to our room, and served us breakfast was delightful.

This lovely and charming place that has recently been redone. Unfortunately, the renovation removed much of sense of history and charm from the interior.

This was a lovely location for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We had a fantastic time and would love to return.

No complaints. We only wish we had more time to spend there.
