The location is fantastic, this is in a very walkable area with lots to do nearby. Staff were kind and always helpful, and the bar, The Library, is extremely nice and has great drinks. The lobby is classic southern opulence, absolutely stunning, and the pool and poolside lounge are very nice too. Furthermore, our king room was so nice, it was sizeable, had a great bed, nice tv, ceiling fan, and great huge bathroom with an extremely nice shower. Excellent and very kind housekeeping staff.

There was no option for parking side from valet ($45 a night). Even that is not much of a complaint as the valet service was very good.

The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, we love the restaurant for breakfast. The guys at the valet are the best. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom is good, they recently renovated it. They have a mini bar inside the rooms, ask for the keys. There are also a nice pool, great for the weather in Dallas during the summer.

The staff are not so friendly, especially the front desk. They are not helpful and barely smile. The toilet flush is really slow, all rooms have carpet that doesn't seem to be clean that often. The bed is kind of small too. And they need to improve the fitness center. The neighborhood is ok, but there are a fireman place nearby, so be prepared for siren noises, especially at night.

Great little hotel with lots of history, classy from when you walk in to the rooms. The Library bar was a great place to listen to live jazz music and grab a drink before we ate Prime Rib at the restaurant in house. Rooms were large and comfortable great with a view. Staff was excellent and went above and beyond. Pool was great too.

No real negatives but I’d say we walked to Walgreen to get not overpriced bottled water & it is in the flight path for Love-field Airport so lots of plane traffic but could not hear them from inside the room.

Immediately upon arriving to the beautiful historic building was awe-inspiring. The staff was impeccably speedy handling requests, kind and helpful. The room was massive and inviting with large windows and a great view of the city. The valet service was quick to respond and my pre-scheduled breakfast was delivered promptly.

The breakfast was excessively expensive costing $60 with service fees, automatic gratuity and a $4 added tip for an omelet, fruit bowl consisting of pineapple, cantaloupe and a few grapes, and a plain bagel with plain cream cheese. Was quite jarring is all.

The historic aspect of the hotel was lovely. The lobby is beautiful and the Library Bar is a cozy establishment. Our room was very large, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. There are several restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

Housekeeping could pay more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning . The carpets especially could be cleaned. Also trays from room service were left in the hallways all day. There was a nearby club that played loud music into the wee hours. One couple in our party changed rooms.

It was very nice, clean and quiet.

Parking. They say free parking but there is no parking on property, the only on property parking is Valet which isn’t included with the room. I was told “free parking” was on the street on the side of the hotel which given the location there was none spaces available. So we were forced to Valet. Also the incidental fee was not mentioned when I made the book.

Great location, old school boutique hotel full of character and charm. The staff was super kind and gave me a newly renovated room. I stayed here to attend a family event which was in the same hotel. Cooperative staff, they sent us hot water in the room and also gave me a steamer which was life changing as I had to iron a very fancy wedding dress. Excellent stay! The Mexican place close to the hotel had outstanding churros and tex mex food.

The hotel is a bit pricey for the value it offers, but there was nothing wrong with any of the services.

We really like this hotel, good location and staff is very friendly!

This is our second time to stay at this hotel and both times your systems have been down. First time it was when we were checking out and the second time was when we checked in (still not working when we checked out) so anytime we left our room, we had to have someone from the hotel take us up to our room or let us into the pool area. Alma really did make things as best as she could for us while we were there.

Loved the location. The hotel is an older hotel that has been remodeled very nicely. Really like the large comfortable room with a nice sitting area. The lobby is very grand and comfortable. Has a very nice old charm. My wife loved the swimming pool. Very relaxing

I would suggest they give a different option than valet only parking. Especially, the parking lot they park the cars in is just steps from where you are. No benefit to it and is pricey.

Great location in Uptown Dallas with everything you may need in walking distance. The room was comfortable and had a good size. The bar ("the library") is nice and have often live music. The cocktails were delicious, and the bartenders really friendly.

The rooms are a bit "thin-walled." We could hear every single cough from neighbor... No food after 9:00 pm of any kind (kitchen closes early and if they do not have many guests even earlier) The breakfast was not worthy. It's expensive and not big (a la carte only, no buffet). 1 jar coffee 18 USD (3 cups of thin, terrible American coffee). Valet parking is expensive, too. Better try to park somewhere on the street.
