I love the fact the nick’s kitchen and bar was attached I love the bar and it is on the beach and u can set on the roof and look at the beach and I love the two ladies in the breakfast with the free breakfast they are super sweet and funny and friendly I had a great stay here

The birds are gangster I was in the hot tub enjoying my chicken wings and margaritas and they stole my food it was hilarious

Room was much better than expected. It is a motel, and a pretty old one, but the room's were much nicer than expected.

The breakfast was terrible, So they had the staff, one dishing out eggs and another dishing out burritos. After dishing out about 2 tablespoons of scrambled eggs the egg server asked if I would like a sausage, egg and cheese burrito. Yes, but I received a burrito that was the size of a mouse and had no cheese and a sliver of sausage. Guido's is known for food, so I was really looking forward to a nice breakfast. I was SO disappointed. And yes, I could have gone back to get more for free, but free disappointment is not any nicer then expensive disappointment. I wanted Guido's nice, but I received much worse than MacDonald's. Oh, no bacon or Sausage was available at the buffet, Just Potatoes, Egg and Grits. What a complete letdown.

Old school motel that is working hard to be better. Room décor was interesting and wonderful. Clean. Pool looked nice but we did not use it. They let us leave our cars there for cruise duration for no extra cost. Nicks Bar and Grill was very good. Friendly, helpful people. GREAT breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Not complaining, but this is an older hotel with some imperfections. Adjust your expectations. You can't be by the sea without getting weathered.

The quaintness and location

Kids from 2-17 in the Hot Tub ALL day everyday some with parents (all drinking alcohol) The kids never got out to go to bathroom so you know they were peeing all day in it. Also counted and were 20+ in hot tub at all times which was over capacity No monitoring by the staff! Not even the manager or GM after mentioning this to him. Adults could not enjoy this feature of the property!! :( Food by Nicks was only okay!

Wasn’t impressed with their free breakfast. Asked for over medium fried egg and they were not cooked properly. Yokes were broken and over cooked. Asked for extra bacon 🥓 and was told no. However “Mama Rose” (I think that was her name) gave some extra bacon. She is a very special person and I am happy that I met her. She is around 90 years old and so happy to be serving the resort’s guests.

The stairs were a real pain so I would recommend if you have issues climbing stairs book downstairs. Also I booked ocean view and being across the street on the seawall it’s very noisy when you’re sitting outside was not really relaxing. It was okay after 10:30-11:00 PM. Once inside your room it was nice and quiet.

Loved all the things to do there... Gane yard, huge pool, hot tub, bar side pool. Super close walk over to beach. It was a great deal for a room. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of options and ladies in there were nice and friendly. I went on observation deck ate breakfast and watched sun rise. Beds were rather comfy also. Newly updated sheets in room which was nice.

They need to clean rooms a little better. When we got there trash was still in my trash can. The parking was a little tight for larger vehicles.. They had more parking. But I wanted my car right by my room.

Sitting in our room looking out over the gulf with the beach and coast side road in between was very nice. In addition we went there on a music night, so the band playing down by the pool was a plus for us. We kept tour door ajar while we enjoyed the multigenerational tunes, and then when we went down for dinner, tipped the band for their contribution to the nice evening.

I imagine that some travelers would be put off by the recent lack of modern upgrades. All seaside structures require a lot of continuous maintenance against the salt air. Also the decor was in line with a owner-lady from a previous era. It was fine for what it was, and enjoyable, but some might want a more modern experience.

The breakfast was of quality. The library in my room was adorable.

If checkin was a little earlier that would be ideal.

Fun room to book. Right on the board walk. We loved the hot tube and the room comes with its own Bluetooth stereo that powers the outside speakers. I freaking loved that. Another bonus was it has a full washer and dryer. The beach is just across the street and at night, well, my wife and I love to people watch, and the glass railing was perfect for that. Unfortunately at this time they had just cleaned up from the tropical storm that hit them the past week so the pool was a little funky. But that happens when you have a storm roll through. We loved the room and the location. Oh yeah, the freaking bathroom is fantastic! I won't tell you, I will let you feel the same as we did, and that was a freaking surprise. Totally in a great way! Anyway, is it the nicest place we have booked? No, but it sure ranks in the top 10 with everything you get.
