An individual and quirky hotel very conveniently placed for my visit to Houston. Reception staff were excellent, bar staff did a great job and the lady in charge of breakfast started my mornings with a good coffee and great plate of All American breakfast... Delighted to find the place completely by chance.

Nothing, to be frank.

I loved the space of the rooms. I was on the highway side of the hotel but didn’t hear any road noise at all! Which was amazing! The bar and bartenders were amazing as well. Clean and very quiet hotel. Really loved the valet service that was offered.

Only thing I can say I didn’t like, was the shower head and water pressure. Everything else was truly amazing.

Staff was kind. Hotel room was nice, comfortable, clean. Not too noisy. Restaurant was reasonably priced for a four star hotel.

What did not go well.....I booked the room through booking.com. The room price was $191 plus tax. I ended up paying well over $300 for parking and amenities (that I never used). That was a surprise. So the room cost me nearly double what I expected. Also check in is way too late (4:00pm)

It was in a convenient location with a lot of things to do in the surrounding area. A lot of restaurants and you can see the freeway from the hotel.

The fact that parking wasn't free was a bit of an inconvenience. Parking in the parking garage was confusing as you needed to exit the garage to enter the hotel and then you needed your room key to enter.

Staff was great. Room was nice and very comfortable.

The breakfast included you only have one selection or you will be charged. No refills on the drinks. No microwave in the rooms. Could not have a speaker only could play music off your phone. Drinks and food was a little pricey. The pool only goes to 4ft and is very small more of a splash pad than pool

The upkeep of the room. We noticed alot of stains and a good bit of things were falling apart that need to be replaced. The room was definitely clean though. Everything worked as it should have. I just expect more from the clout I've heard about this specific location. I would definitely stay there again.

Some of the room features needed to be upgraded such as refrigerator and should have included a microwave for the price. Needed more outlets for plugging things in and more lighting

The manager got involved in my check in. I had the wrong weekend checked on the reservations calendar online. She secured a room with a comparable price and allowed me to stay. It would have been terrible to look for another hotel at that time of night. Kuddos to the night manager. I asked her name but I can't remember it. She was so professional and courteous.

More towels in the room. With two people in the room. A shower at night and a shower in the morning. Two sets of towels will not last through several baths.

The hotel was in the perfect location for any type of leisure activities you wanted to do. The rooms were nice as well as the view. The restaurant and bar were top notch. The bar tender name Laura was the best. So many things to do and see within walking distance or a short drive away, just overall awesome!

The one thing I would add is having a microwave in the rooms. I know a restaurant is on-site but, it's still a great experience to be able to WARM-UP leftovers.

we loved the king suite room #1201. the view was amazing and the room was huge. it had a huge tv we watched the super bowl on. whished we had invited some friends over to enjoy the space. their restaurant was closed, so we ordered pizza from across the street from Grottos, VERRY GOOD! my reservation i made on booking.com for some reason was lost, the front desk staff was very nice and happy to help get me into a room.

one of the toilets wouldn't flush. both of the shower facets had low pressure. the paint was peeling off in both of the bathtubs where they were painted. we didn't like that the restaurant was closed...although we understand due to staffing issues, but one of the main reasons we chose hotel Derek was for their pizza.
