I was so impressed with the rooms and service! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were VERY CLEAN, and had good water pressure. The room was equipped with a larger than normal mini fridge, a small table with two chairs, and a microwave. There were hangers and plenty of space for luggage. The water pressure was great, and the water got nice and hot. The sheets and duvet were very soft. Hard surface floors so nice and clean.

The walls are a bit thin.

Clean, comfortable , affordable lodging in a community where other hotels in the area charge at least double what I paid. Close to restaurants, groceries, coffee stands. Very comfortable and homey decor.Not fancy, but by no means a dive!

Wobbly room chair.Hotel is near a busy road; can be noisy. A few minor cosmetic issues. Check in at bar could've been a bit more expeditious.

The location in Coupville is very convenient for getting around the south half of the island. Staff were friendly and able to answer questions I had. Right across from a grocery store, which was convenient. Great wifi.

You get what you pay for (w Whidbey prices). The room was very basic and the amenities so-so. My room door did not seal on most sides. The bed was very old feeling and creaky. Felt like with a small amount of work the place could feel much nicer but would stay here again if the need arose.

The Tyee is a great budget motel. The room was clean and cheery. I went with family and we booked a double twin room. We had a TV, a little fridge, a hair dryer and, microwave. There is no coffee pot, we brought our Keurig and a couple of cups so we didn't have to wait for coffee. We were given plently of fresh towels that were replenished on day 2. Our garbage was also emptied. We were booked in an end room and had no neighbors for most of our stay. The night before we left neighbors arrived at about 11 pm. They were pretty noisy. (It sounded like they were blowing up an air mattress (with a plug in device) and someone may have taken a shower. I heard it all but eventually drifted back to sleep. If you are looking for a quaint, clean, budget friendly place. Come here. If you have high expectations and expect a lot of amenities, this is not the place for you. My only suggestions for the owners is to install a couple of hooks or shelving in the bathroom for a place to put your fresh clothing after showering. There is a towel bar. However if you are traveling with someone like I was. This doesn't leave any room. Also, it would be nice to have a bath mat. I was traveling with my elderly mom. She worries about slipping and falling from water on the floor. I bought an extra beach towel. We used it for a bath mat. Overall it was a very nice stay and we will most likely be back. Thank you!
