We had a wonderful experience at MUSAVVIR and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay! The room was spacious and Sanjar's house was beautifully decorated, showcasing his impressive collection of vintage items. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the soft duvet made for a perfect night's sleep. There was plenty of natural light in the morning which would bring a great start to the day. We also appreciated the host's politeness and helpfulness throughout my stay. They offered great restaurant recommendations and even provided a printed map highlighting attractions and useful spots like barber shops and stores.
The only downside was the laundry service; while the price was reasonable, our clothes didn't come out as clean as we had hoped.

Best hotel we stayed in Uzbekistan. The room was clean and very well decorated, as was the whole place. You can tell that there is a lot of effort been put into it. The communal kitchen and dining area was spotless and the facilities there very good. The decoration was excellent, it was like a small museum filled with vintage items. The outside space was similar as well. Our room was beautiful and very clean, cozy and comfy and facilities were great. It was ideally located, very close to Registan and Siyab Bazar. The owner, Zanjar (hope my spelling is correct), was very kind, polite and helpful, he was kind enough to recommend places to see and things to do. We really enjoyed conversations with his, he was a very interesting person. The whole experience more than exceeded our expectations! Can't recommend enough!!
Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations!

I love everything about this guest house. It’s a family-owned guest house and run professionally by Sanjar, host of the house and probably the best host I’ve ever met. His house is like a museum with tons of vintage stuff decorated all over the property. This guest house is in residential area, close to lots of attractions that you can walk there (if you enjoy walking). Sanjar was a very nice host and always willing to help if you need anything. We were given a map which is very helpful to explore the city around and Sanjar also has a list of restaurants recommendation that you should definitely check it out! There’s a kitchen and you are freely to cook your own meal, kitchen is fully equipped no worries.

Sankar welcomed me like a brother. He is a collector of antique pieces, so what you get is a hotel, with a free museum. It cannot get better. Also the place is in a quiet area, 5 minutes walk from Registan square. A grocery shop is right next to the guesthouse. The rooms have carpets that are 70 years old, but look totally new, so don't walk with shoes over them, wear the cloth slippers provided. The room and bathroom are spotlessly clean and the shampoo and soap are organic. It has a courtyard with fruit trees and seating places that you can use to wind up your day. Sankar speaks good English and he will help you with everything, not only while staying, but also anywhere in Uzbekistan. High recommend this place. 11 out of 10- that's my review.

We truly enjoyed the extensive collection of antique items on the property, as well as beautiful cozy inner yard. The property is positioned in the old part of the city, in the residential area. We enjoyed interesting conversations with the host, who is a historian, a graduate of the Samarkand University and is very knowledgeable about the history of Uzbekistan and the city of Samarkand. We liked the cleanliness, hospitality and the comfort of our tastefully decorated room. We were given a map of the city with main and many other attractions and restaurants. The host was always available to answer our questions or to find out the information needed. .

This property is AMAZING! The complex has a beautiful yard with sun and many tables and chairs where you can enjoy your stay, even a huge traditional Uzbek table for having lunch. The kitchen is full of unique old pieces such radios, typewriters, books, sewing machines, etc. Sanjar, the owner, is an outstanding guy that knows so many things and is always open to talk to you, to have interesting and smart, useful conversations, to recommend a lot of good restaurants and places in the city of Samarkand and to make you feel like home. He is utterly polite, unbelievably well educated and full on information not only about Uzbekistan but a lot of countries and their history. If you choose to stay in Masavvir, you will not only have a large and clean room with the air conditioner and clean bathroom, but will also be able to enjoy many conversations with Sanjar and learn a lot more from him! The property is also very close to the city center and the neighbourhood is clean, the stores are close and the people are amazing and polite. Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸
This "What didn't you like" part should definitely be removed from this apartment as there is nothing not to like!

Musavvir is located within 10-minute walk to the main attractions of Samarkand. The hotel is beautiful, freshly renovated and extremely clean. The room was spacious and all amenities were provided: towels, soap, even slippers. The WiFi is also quite good (enough for remote work although it slows down in the evening when more people use it). The room was very spacious and the bed quite big. The owner speaks fluent English, which is very helpful, and he provided many recommendations for the city and day trips from Samarkand.
The only minor inconvenience is that all rooms are accessed directly from the inner courtyard so if people walk around or are loud, it may not feel like a very private experience. However, it was not a serious issue

We had a very pleasant and memorable stay at this family home. When we entered the house, it looked like that we entered into a beautiful and well decorated art exhibition. The house is very well maintained with beautiful paintings and antique items (musical instruments. sewing machines, iron, old news paper cuttings, etc.). Room was nice and clean with all the facilities available and great interiors. We also loved the fact that there was a shared kitchen, this also helped us in making food for our baby. Most of the top attractions in Samarkand are at walking distance from the house. The host Sanjar was very friendly and always there to answer our inquiries/ provide authentic tips for trying local food. He also gave us a Samarkand map with details of all attractions which helped us in planning our excursions. It was very easy to communicate with him as he was fluent in English. Sanjar was so cooperative enough to allow us early check-in. He even kept our luggage in storage when we went to Bukhara and Khiva as our return flight back home was from Samarkand, where we stayed at his residence.

Spacious and nicely decorated comfortable room. Super clean and quiet. Pleasant sitting in the patio (but comes with the risk of noise late evenings from the other guests - not this time of year though). Sanjar (the manager) is super friendly and helpful, and provides lot of good information. And having a real kitchen available is fantastic if you’ve been traveling for a bit and just want to prepare your own food for a change (makes visiting the Basar even more fun). One of the best places I stayed in Usbekistan!
Bear in mind you have to walk 10-15 min in any direction before you reach a broader street, eg. with running traffic or public transport.

Arguably the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed in Uzbekistan. Clean rooms, super comfy beds, lovely interior, you can tell how Sanjar pays attention to details in every aspect. Kitchen is well organized, all clean, there is also enough space for dining outside on Uzbek traditional tapchan or wooden tables. That gives you an option to really feel the vibes of Uzbek “hovli”- inner courtyard, calm, quiet, peaceful comfort. The property is 8-10min walking distance from main Samarkand attractions. My special shoutout goes to host (Sanjar) who was very helpful, hospitable and understanding 🤝👍🏼 Hope to see you again Sanjar! And pls say Hi to Anisa and only best wishes from us!
