The beds were confortable. Everything was clean and there was a balcony. They helped us book the bus to come from ninh Binh to Halong but the bus company was very Bad (not their fault though). We stayed only one night. The morning, we had breakfast included with our Booking genius grade, but the woman didnt know about it and they havent planned to make breakfast. When I showed thé Booking on my phone, they made a breakfast for us.

When we arrived, the adults there didnt know english at all. We were checked in by a child who didnt seem very happy to be the translator. We wanted to pay by card, they do have the machine but the woman didnt know how to make it work and we almost blocked our card. To be fair, the day after, there was a man who was able to speak english. However, he gave us wrong information about the ferry to cat ba (i searched on internet for the schedule but it told us that we had thé wrong Time, which made us worrying and arriving there very early because it turned out that internet had thé correct information).

I came to Ha Long after the century storm Yagi. Everything was almost destroyed. Even though the people here are concentrating on fixing it with high intensity, they are still very welcoming, open-minded, and I even had some interesting experiences here. The hostel was heavily damaged but what I saw was that my room was really clean, fragrant. They had super cool AC. Sadly, the swimming pool was being repaired so I couldn't experience it yet. But next time coming back here, I will definitely try. Highly recommend for everyone, anyone especially travelers.

Jane and her family were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. There are a lot of good food options very close by. The view from the rooftop is amazing. Only a very short walk to get a close look at the beautiful towering limestone islands. You can order breakfast on-site or head off to find your own. If you want to take a look at the extent of the development there in recent years, take a look at the timeline feature on Google Earth.

It appears that tourism is slowly returning since COVID, and we stayed in the middle of winter, so the whole place is very sleepy. That's exactly what we were looking for so it was great! However, if you want somewhere with more nightlife, perhaps try BBQ hostel 2 on the other side of Ha Long

Queen is an excellent host. She went above and beyond to make our trip satisfactory and to solve some problems we encountered in our trip. She really is quite exceptional.

First of all, the name hostel really does not apply to this small hotel. Don’t expect any kind of socialising here. The bathroom is barely separated from the room so no privacy there. As well, Ha Long has hardly anything to offer, so you’ll spend a long time trying to find anything worthwhile in the hotel surroundings.

Well in advance the lady as me if I could come later than the date I’ve booked. Probably because they were over booked in the room that I got. Since I’m on a tight schedule, this was the only date I could and would like to sleep at bbq hostel. Instead of cancelling. She surprised me with a VIP room which was absolutely stunning. The luxury in that room is that of a multiple star hotel what you would pay a fortune in in any other part of the world. The lady was friendly and they do laundry service . Just got a couple of bucks you get all your clothes back. Clean , dry and folded.

This is a family run hotel, which is what I love. I met nearly all the family!! Location was great. It's very near the seafront. The room was the best I have stayed in Vietnam so far. This would be 4.5 stars if it was in Hanoi. Bathroom is huge. Had a balcony with a lovely view. The lady running it was VERY helpful. Her English is not great but her 8 year old daughter speaks really good English and was a great help. She arranged a day trip for me around the islands which ran perfectly. Highly recommend you book that with her as her father will transport you to the ferry terminal 5 or more kms away and back at no extra cost. Her father is a delightful man who was so so obliging. Breakfast is a little extra. It is basic, but at less than €2 it is good value, and one can have it on the balcony of the restaurant. Lots of security cameras. Thankfully room not cleaned in the 3 nights I was there as I like no one to be in the room while I'm staying. This changing of towels/housekeeping every day in some hotels is completely unnecessary. Laundry service.

So many light switches in the room. Very confusing. It was 'hilarious' trying to turn off all the lights. This was, however, a minor inconvenience. The safe combination facility didn't work, but there was a universal key to the safe. The safe was quite light and not fixed to any wall. Only negative of any importance to me.

Everything this is the best place we've ever been! Very nice, very clean, very friendly! Staff will help you with literally everything :) so polite people it's incredible! Staff is always ready to help you even when they are very busy :) near is the beach and good local restaurants. If someone need is albo circle and 15-20 min walk is mall center :) we wish all the best for staff and everyone who collaborate with hostel :)

I saw some opinions then someone had problem with cruise to ha long Bay or with transport to Hanoi - we bought this cruise and we ordered transport to Hanoi, everything was perfect, so I think this people which wrote bad opinions had some personal problems :)

Rooms and toilets were clean. Toilet was equipped with a hair dryer, which turned out to be super handy. Room was also spacious enough for us to move about even with our luggage. Host can communicate in good English, which made our planning to Halong Bay so much more convenient and pleasant. She even recommended places to eat in the area, and lent us umbrellas when it was raining. Location wise, it is located very close to the bay! You may take a stroll along the bay in the mornings or late evenings and enjoy the scenery. Just be careful with the road crossing 😅

Lights at the corridor are run by motion sensors and they turn off VERY quickly. Can be a tad scary when the hallways become dark.

An outstanding experience! An amazing value for the price. Modern building with an elevator, super clean, comfortable, quiet, perfect neighborhood for restaurants, shops, museums, and the iconic Halong Bay waterfront that goes for several miles. Run by a very responsive manager/owner that arranged a fantastic 6 hour tour of the Bay with lunch and a visit to a very impressive cave for very low price. Very helpful im booking my bus trip to Sa Pa and arranging transport to the station. I couldn't be more pleased and appreciative for all of the assistance I was given. Thank you.

Nothing not to like!

I will recommend it to my friends if they visit Halong, one of the best hostels ever, with two bathrooms and a Balcony. also, there is a sofa in the middle, big enough for all, also the hostel offers nice food at a good price :) The staff are super helpful, with good English and they helped to book bus tickets, appreciate a lot
