It was only £22 for three nights and the best thing was it was family run and owned. Really helpful and friendly. Right in the middle of the old quarter. They did my laundry in re hours, washed, smelling nice and pressed, all for less than £1.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Hanoi! The location in the heart of the Old Town was absolutely perfect—close to everything, yet wonderfully peaceful due to the no-car access. It felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The family-owned atmosphere made the experience even more special. The service was impeccable; every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always happy to assist with anything I needed, from local tips to arranging transport. The warm and personal touch, combined with the quiet, central location, made this hotel a standout choice. I couldn’t recommend it more and would definitely return!

Excellent location in the old quarter, convenient to a wide range of food choices, but also really quiet since it's on a small alley with no cars. Beds are comfortable, shower was good, elevator to reach upper floors was helpful. Staff was wonderful, with the exception of the night person, who my daughter found difficult to work with when she had some serious maintenance issues in her room. The maintenance issues were resolved.

The room I was in was smaller than the photos indicated, and it was difficult to open our suitcase all the way and still have room to walk .

The location was perfect for us, right in the old quarter near great restaurants, yet very quiet at night, due to its location on a narrow alley. The staff was great, except as noted below. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We felt the hotel was a good value for the price.

Our room was smaller than we were expecting, and it was pretty tight with our luggage. While we had no problems with our room, our daughters' room had a few issues (the first night their door alarm kept going off in the night, and they returned one evening to find the refrigerator had leaked a lot of water onto the floor). They called the night manager for these issues and apparently he was pretty rude to them.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Hanoi, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The location is absolutely perfect—everything is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. What truly sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming family that owns it. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their kindness and helpfulness made a significant difference, especially when they assisted me in arranging transportation from other parts of the country after my stay. If you're looking for a cozy, centrally located hotel with exceptional service, Tung Trang is the place to be!!

The location was excellent. The room was homely and clean with cleaners coming in every day. I had a balcony which was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was perfect. Also the people who owned the hotel were absolutely amazing. They were a family and helped me book tours were really kind I felt safe leaving my valuables there Will definitely go back. And I would advise any solo travellers to book this place if they are a bit nervous. The area was absolutely amazing thank you so much. I had a really lovely time.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Maybe Wi-Fi could have been better.

It was really neat and clean. Although it was a 1 star hotel, it did have facilities as same as a 4 star hotel. It did have an AC room with a small balcony. And it's right in the centre. A lot of shops or restaurants and the train street are in a walkable distance. The faculty was very helpful. And i felt like home. Would definitely recommend.

There's almost an 80m walk from the centre through an alley to get to the hotel. The car wouldn't go in here. So if you have got heavy luggage that could bother you. However, the hotel staff goes the extra mile to help with the luggage if you book a taxi with them. Also, do not expect luxury. It's just a very small place good enough for a solo traveller.

It is family owned and everyone is very nice! They are very accommodating. It is a hotel but almost the same as staying with a family. Very helpful too and provided me with a map with the local area and told me where the best place to go. Its also 10 mins walk to train street. I would definitely come back here again next time. To the woman in reception when I checked in, I forgot your name but thank you for being nice to us. We left early this morning and couldn’t say bye to you😔

The shower pressure is not strong😔

Great location, hidden down a backstreet in the old town. Step out of the door and around the corner and you are in the food market street. You wouldn't know it from the room, which was quiet, clean and regularly cleaned. Close to lots of cafes and restaurants. The staff were so helpful, friendly and a lovely family.

I cant think of anything to improve, and not sure of any negative points. All you would want from a central city hotel at this price point.

I had an amazing stay! The hotel is in the center of the Old Quarter, so it was easy to get around. The family that runs the hotel is super sweet and helpful. I needed to change the nights I was staying, and they did that with no problem. Laundry service was great and the car to and from the airport was a good deal and made my trip so much easier. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Definitely book this hotel if you’re in Hanoi!
