Quiet location, clean room and reasonable in size. A short walk gives me access to a full sized supermarket and other shops as well. The neighborhood feels safe and homely. Great value for money.

The mattress was a bit worn as I could feel the springs were uneven. The electric stove wasn't working.

We stayed here for more than a month, and it was a really comfortable base for exploring HCMC. It felt more like an apartment, including a full size fridge-freezer and a stove, which is ideal for a longer stay (there's no need to cook with so many restaurants nearby, but was nice to be able to make some breakfast or a snack at home). Cleaning was provided every two days, and they also have a convenient laundry service. The commercial centre of D1 is within walking distance, and it's also within easy reach of D5 (Chinatown) and other interesting districts. Staff was very friendly and helpful every time we had some minor issue, so we felt very safe and reassured. Even though some other apartment hotels may be slightly cheaper, I think the quality of the service makes it 100% worthwhile to stay at G9. Warmly recommended for both longer and shorter stays:)

Although the location is central, it's inside an alley that's difficult for cars to enter, and bike drivers often get confused. We would usually walk a few minutes to the main street before getting a Grab. It's not a huge inconvenience but can be annoying especially when arriving/departing with big luggage. With that said, I also enjoyed walking through the maze of alleyways - the atmosphere is calm, and there are lots of local shops and restaurants. There were some cockroaches, but I understand this is almost inevitable in SEA. The standard of cleanliness was high, but the bugs are hard to beat ..

Really enjoyed my stay at G9. The room was great and looked just like the photos. Comfy bed and great shower.

The balcony was tiny though.. so no enjoying a nice coffee in the morning sun. Also, my room was on the 5th floor and there was no elevator which some may have an issue with.

There is not enough soundproofing, you can hear what is happening on the stairs behind the door Also, despite the quiet area, the neighbors sometimes like to make noise and closing the window does not really help (I would recommend updating the rubber gaskets near the windows or even installing them if there are none) Also, the room heats up quite quickly, the air conditioner certainly saves from this, but it is difficult to sleep with it because, firstly, it makes a little noise, and secondly, it is directed directly at the bed and you will most likely catch a cold if you sleep while it is on

I love the studio apartment, the right size, clean, bright, mine is with balcony, tasteful choice of furniture color and decor, functioning kitchen with pot plates bowls utensils cups glasses and fridge. I can make simple meals. I'm so glad to find this! Another joy is to wonder thru the back alleys in this residential area, which is what I like doing when I travel - get glimpses of how the locals live. Very friendly and helpful staff! Very attentive and polite! They're contactable thru Whatsapp and can get in touch with any questions at all.

The location is Excellent and is a walking distance from many good restaurants, tourist attractions and the famous walking street (5 to 30 minutes). The bed was comfortable which is NOT a common thing in Vietnam (at least from my experience). Also, it is located right next to a great laundry service (cost me 100,000 VND for a week of clothes). They have smart TV with Netflix which is great for relaxing. AC works well and the bathrooms are great (not a wet bathroom like most hotels).

The only thing I didn't like is not even their fault but the other tourists fault. Many clap the door when they come back which waked me up every single time. Netflix often got disconnected but the staff quickly fixed it every time it happened.

The staff are amicable and always happy to help arrange airport transportation. While the location can be a bit tricky to find by taxi, just let the driver know where to turn to get into the alleyway. On the bright side, many great food options are nearby, and you'll find a hypermarket just a short 5–7-minute walk away.

The room is pretty clean, but there are still some ants hanging around. It's not soundproofed, so you can hear the neighbors flipping light switches. Plus, with all the motorcycles and cars passing by outside, you can hear everything from inside the room.

G9 is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and speak English well. The rooms are separate from the office with a keycard entry on both the front door and your room. You can enter and exit at any time. The neighbourhood is quiet and feels "local". It is a bit of a rabbit warren, but this is normal in Vietnam and with Google Maps it is easy to find. The location is close to the city centre in D1 and easy to walk around. The staff are happy to order Grab or Grab Food for you, and their Welcome Pack offers many good restaurant suggestions. They can help you organise Tours of Saigon if you want to explore. The room is tidy, spacious, and comfortable. There are 2 rooms per level and I could not hear my neighbour. There is no elevator. It has a full kitchenette, but why cook when you are surrounded by good food? There are many good cafes nearby and they open early (06:30) so you can get out for a coffee before it gets too hot. The only thing I found wrong with the room was that the water was not very hot. This is not a problem in a hot, humid climate. The shower itself was a rain style showerhead and good. G9 is now my place of choice when I visit Saigon. I will say their many times.

We had a grate stay at G9 Homestay. The room was spacious and clean, and though we did not use the kitchen, it was equipped with what's needed to prepare food. The location is outside of the center (it takes around 30 minutes on foot to reach the main square), but it's quite. From the city center, if you don't want to walk in the hot afternoon's sun, you can catch a Grab taxi for a couple of bucks. The hosts were helpful and responsive.

We were quite suprised when we learnt that our hosts could not arrange a taxi from the airport. Not too bad, but a unique case in our Vietnamese trip. The 2pm check in rule is VERY strict :) not a big deal for us, but a heads-up if you plan to check in earlier, in which case you'll need to pay extra.

The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was a decent size room with reasonable amount of natural light and the price was fairly reasonable for the inner hub of Ho Chi Minh City. A kitchen with a hotplate and basic cutlery and cookware was part the room together with a small but comfy sofa.

While this accommodation is reasonably central it is located in a veritable maze of alleyways and tiny streets some distance from the main road, so locating it is difficult without relying on Google maps.
