The bathroom is quite spacious. Mostly, if you book a hotel in Japan, the toilet will be very small that your knees always hit the wall, but not for this hotel. The double bed is very comfort. It can recharge your energy after long journey in Tokyo. (In my opinion, I was trying to wake up in early morning everyday, but it turned out that I couldnot because the bed is so comfy.)

There is only one public toilet at the reception. (one for male and one for female) And also, for the common room, the opening time is only until 11.00PM. It would be nice if you can enjoy the common room at all time in case you would want a meal at late night. The hotel is quite a distance from UENO STATION (about 15 min walking). If you are not the person, who love to walk, or have elders along with your group, I would recommend you other hotels.

The location was great! It was about 8 minutes walking from Ueno Station. There were 3 convenience store near the hotel, also there were vending machines inside the hotel (only drinks). Cleaning service was good and they clean everyday if you let them know. Hotel room space was good for two people and our luggage fit in the room (big luggages). There was also water and iced green tea available 24/7 on the reception, that helped a lot when you came back to the hotel after a long walk day in Tokyo. Breakfast was Japanese style and it was ok. Not the best breakfast but helped to started the day with energy. My friend is vegan and they even helped her with an option for her to eat (changing some dishes with salad and other stuffs). Overall it was a good stay in Tokyo!

We enjoyed our stay in Ueno Hotel and would not mind to come back. Photos of the hotel and rooms are accurate. Rooms are not the spacious ones, but actually bigger than average hotel rooms in Tokyo. Hotel and room were clean, cleaning available every day, comfortable beds, staff is friendly and helpful. 10 minutes walk to Ueno station, which was very convenient. A lot of restaurant options around. Washing machine is available in the hotel. Free coffee in the lobby.

There is no kettle in the room, it would be nice to have one, but as there was a coffee machine and hot water available in the lobby, we didn´t mind that much in the end. Also, there is not enough of space where to hang or stow your clothes.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the location is a reasonable walk from Ueno Station. We have stayed here many times before, and the staff are always very kind and helpful. The second floor has a nice seating area to relax while doing laundry as well.

Sometimes the laundry can get a bit congested, and the sobakawa pillows are a bit firm, but these are very small things. As long as you budget time and clothes, or ask the front desk for an extra pillow, you will have a good time.

Honestly can’t complain at all! We stayed for over a week here and had no issues whatsoever. Location is amazing and despite being near the station you cannot hear a thing. Staff went above and beyond when we bad a problem with our pocket wifi delivery to the hotel. Most of the staff spoke very good english and those that struggled still managed to help us always. Wifi was also exceptional and never had to wait for anything to load which is rare for hotels at least in our home country. Room was clean and looked after. I liked the option to ask for a clean when required, it feels less wasteful thank hotels who will change sheets daily.

Our room was a bit of a tight fit for luggage (we had two big suitcases). If you only have one suitcase or a smaller one, you will manage a lot better!

While the room was small (as expected), it was clean, comfortable and quiet considering how central it is. We availed of breakfast some of the days and loved that for the price there was actually quite a variety of food included, the staff serving and refilling were also friendly which was appreciated. The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions about directions and where to find certain items.

I like that the staff is very accommodating and speaks English quite well. The hotel has the basic amenities available in your room (e.g., bath essentials, robe, etc.), offers drinks (e.g., coffee, water, tea, etc.) for free, and will keep your baggage for the day.

The location is a bit of a walk from Ueno Station (about 8 to 10 minutes). While this can be considered short on a normal day, it may be a chore for some after spending the whole day walking in Tokyo. The room is also really small, even for a solo traveler like me. I can barely open my luggage and walk in the room at the same time.

I have forgotten my headphones. I noticed it only few days later since I didn't need it. I contacted the hotel and they actually found them. They accepted to send them back to me (I live in Japan) by COD so I got my headphones back. The bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to Ueno station north entrance but still need 5-10 min walking time in total. It's in a quiet area so no noise. Good value for money regarding the location (Ueno). The room was large enough for Tokyo's standard (compared to the 8-9 sqm of business hotels)

The window is in the bathroom thus less light can reach the room that makes it a lil bit dark. The bathroom sink is too small.

The price is pretty reasonable considering the location and the other competitors' price. The property looks like it used to be an apartment but rennovated afterwards into a hotel. Therefore the lobby is pretty small so when I got there, it was pretty packed and smelled a little bad because of the cafe next to the reception. The room was excellent. It was clean, enough space, nice bed and the shower room was pretty spacious. They cleaned my room everyday when I was out and even refilled the water for free. Overall, highly recommended to stay for someone who needs a hotel for budget in Tokyo.

Nice hot shower and clean bathroom, beds are big enough and staff is very friendly. Air-conditioning was on all days and night, which made coming back after a hot day very comfortable. The room is quite small and there is no closet for your clothes. But some hangers will do the work. Location is good, 10 minute walk from train and metro station Ueno. And supermarket around the corner. I would recommend this place if you are planning on being outdoors all day and just stay in the hotel to sleep.

Breakfast is just simple. But free coffee and tea.
