The facilities were excellent, new, kept up well. The bountiful breakfast ran until 11 a.m. and the freshness and choices did not diminish if you were a relatively late sleeper. Great location on the beach and an easy walk to town. The weather was wonderful, and Malaga as a town far exceeded our expectations. The housekeeping of our room was frequent/exceptional.

It was Spain, not Italy. The staff was not "over the top" concerned that you were 100% happy. Very good for Spain was good enough, just the culture vs. 5-star hotels in Sirmione and Santa Margherita (Italy) where we have recently stayed. There were three elevators, often with only one really working from the rooms to the breakfast in the morning. Led to wait times that made one seem that staff was monopolizing an elevator or two during peak hour for breakfast/checking out/getting out for the day.

A beautiful hotel in a superb location. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

At breakfast there was sometimes a long wait for a chef to operate the egg station. Saturday and Sunday were very good when a very good young lady was there all the time. As we had a room on the side of the hotel, although we had a balcony, it was very small and we could not sit there together

i suggest when you check in or check out avoid Alejandro the tall guy who is wearing glasses… he is rude. the remaining staff from too management, guest relations especially Alex is was the most professional staff i never met

Breakfast price is not realistic 30Eur/person with avarage buffet is not propriate. You get much more tastefull and cheaper in city centre

Didn't have breakfast. The location ws just right, only a short walk into the city

The only problem that I had was lack of communication. For instance, I asked the concierge to call a taxi take me to the airport the following morning but it didn't turn up. However this was easily remedied. My friend ordered vegetarian for Christmas eve gala, but it was not relayed to the chef. Same again in the main restaurant. The concierges don't know what is taking place in the function room when we tried to confirm our candlelight concert.

An exceptional and grand hotel, we were made to feel special and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Good food and drink options at the hotel, good rooms with good floor and storage space, comfortable beds and luxe bathrooms. Adjacent to the beach and close to local good eateries in nearby streets. A short walk along the front to the Marina for more bar and restaurant options, shops and markets. A little further to the old town for some local culture and history, and more traditional places to eat tapas and drink sangria.

Shade across the pool for some of the day from surrounding buildings, and a bit of a shortage of sunbeds was a minor hitch.

Great hotel. Grounds very well manicured. Great rooms (and we’ve tried a few during our stay). Nice location right on the beach, yet not too far from the city or the harbour. Belle Epoque charm remains overall after the remodeling.

A heatedpool would be nice this time of year. Not clear if you end up with a room with balcony if you book a room with seaview.

Beautiful elegant building. Lovely staff. Clean rooms & nice location close to the port. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed the spa facilities.

Check in was a bit of a let down. We weren’t told it was necessary to book the pool terrace restaurant for lunch in spite of asking this on check in. Was disappointed that we didn’t get to avail of the free meditation, Pilates and yoga classes as we were only told of these on the last morning. Feel it would have been nice to have received this information and also pool towel tickets when checking in. Also a little disappointing that thermals were only available to families for one hour daily. Other than that we couldn’t fault the service and lovely staff we encountered throughout our stay.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and it is consistently good. The Deluxe room was spacious and well appointed. The pool area is very nice. It's a bit out of town but that's part of its attraction, being next to the beach.

Guests have now started to "reserve" sunbeds with towels as soon as the pool area opens, and then disappear for hours. One group of four women "reserved" four additional sunbeds for their husbands at 10am, but the husbands didn't turn up until 5pm. There were also several groups of British people who made a lot of noise round the pool. A lot of people play music or videos on their phones, or have shouted conversations with them in front of their faces. So while the hotel is still lovely, the general experience has deteriorated.
