Hotel was very clean and welcoming. Location was good, with plenty of bar’s, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The hotel was a 15 minute walk into town, there are plenty of coffee shops along the way and the bus stop is less than a minutes walk away. Arta, the owner, was always available and very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of local produce available, including home made jam. As we had a late night flight Arta allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel, and also arranged for a taxi to the airport. I would recommend Villa Fernando Tirana and if I return I would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Check-In was super easy and the boy at the counter really helpful! There is a parking close which costs you 200 Lek a Day (foreigners take care, the parking guard sometimes adds a zero to the price if he sees you are a foreigner ;)). I liked the artistic style of the hotel and the beds were comfy. Also the breakfast was sufficient and good, thank you! Arta and her team where available for any help all the time also via WhatsApp and we really value that. Neutral: From the entrance you have to walk up a narrow stairwell and there is no lift. So consider that in case you are not able the walk stairs.

As much as I liked you guys, I also need to the tell of the negative sites. There is a Bar just on the opposite side of the wall and we had the bad luck that additionally to a long journey they decided to have a party when we arrived and therefore it was loud. There is no fault of the hotel but needs to be considered. Luckily they stopped shortly after 22:30. Also the hotel is right at a very busy street but in our room we heard almost nothing of that because our window faced the backyard. Unfortunately also our room-floor was not cleaned properly but they solved that issue very quick. However, bathroom and the sheets where totally clean.

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes from the main Skanderbeg Square, with plenty of local bars and cafes if you want to use them. Breakfast was good - a selection of meats, cheeses, eggs and usually burek, plus bread each day as well as yoghurts and fruit. A good selection for people to choose from and plenty to fill you up for a day of sightseeing. The room was big and had a round bed which although I thought was strange at the start turned out to be really quite comfortable. But the real star was Arta, the hotel owner who was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, her enthusiasm for her jo and her pride in the hotel was quite infectious! She was super helpful and secured taxis to all of the places we wanted to visited at very good rates.

Wonderful hotel. Lovely spacious room, elegantly decorated and comfortable bed. We loved to sit out on the balcony and watch the hustle and bustle of the locals commuting. Also the view of the Dajti mountain and watching the moon rise was wonderful. Arta was really helpful and was always there to help with any questions you may have, and is a kind and warm person. We also had a lovely maid looking after us, with clean rooms every day and a really nice breakfast. We loved our stay in Tirana. Tirana is a great place to visit, the people are very friendly and helpful and there are lots of great places to visit, lovely cafe’s with delicious food at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend the restaurant next door to the hotel. We ate there twice and enjoyed both nights. Arta also arranged a discounted taxi service to and from the airport and will happily arrange this for you.

I booked the hotel because it was close to a clinic I wanted to go. However, it looked like it was also very close to the city center. The facilities, amenities and cleanliness were great! I slept very good at night and felt safe, which is important for a woman who travels alone. Arta and the stuff were very friendly and helpful, also responsive at any time if you text her. Great value for money! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it! Thank you for everything!

The hotel is on the street. There is a bit of noice because of the traffic, particularly in the morning and during the day. At night there are almost no cars. I personally didn't mind because I'm not that sensitive plus I was away during the day. But I'd like to mention it for others who would mind the noise.

Spacious room. There is a parking space next to the hotel which charges 2 euros per day, and it is very convenient. The bus stop to the city centre is within walking distance and there are plenty of eating options nearby. Special mention about the hostess- Arta. She has been exceptionally helpful before and during our stay. One day before our arrival, she sent us precise information with pictures about the parking spot, location of the hotel, access code, etc. She also provided us information about the various places to be during our trip.

First and most, this was our first visit to Albania and Tirana. To be welcomed by Arta who runnes the hotel was such a pleasure and it made our stay so valuable. She helped us with everything practical but even more important she told us about Albanians, about the city, development, history. That was such an interesting and important part of our stay that I could not thank her enough. We booked a room with a Mountain View and the room and the view was really lovely. We spent a lot of time just exploring the local area and enjoyed the friendliness of people we met! We also had the possibility to chat with some of the other guests at the hotel. Everyone was really friendly. I would really recommend this place, and I would love to come back!

Great location, bus travels around the centre and also easy to walk in. If you took a taxi back to the hotel it was about £5. Arta the host was great, and assisted with very reasonable taxi transfers to and from the airport. Always tip the drivers though, as they do not earn a lot (we paid almost double what was quoted). We had a room with a balcony, and could see the mountains, and watch the world go by.

Villa Fernando is a small and very charming place, the right place for those who are looking for a special atmosphere, something unlike the modern all of a kind hotels, and a personal touch. The landlady is extremely forthcoming and helpful. She went out of her way to help me find the interesting sites in Tirana, advise me on what to do and not to do in the city, arrange for transport etc., and she did so without expecting anything back. The breakfast was very good. The room spacious and comfortable.

The hotel is not ideal for those who have a problem with stairs, which I had not.

Arta is the best!!! She treats you like family and is so easy to get ahold of. She upgraded our room and we had a beautiful big room with a comfortable bed. She also helped us to decide what to do each day which was super kind. The lady who cleans the rooms (sorry I don't remember your name!!) is equally as nice. Breakfast is great for not having a kitchen. She makes sure to change it up. She really cares about her guests and it shows.

It is a little bit of a walk to the downtown area, but it's worth it for the hospitality and comfy stay. Easy enough to take a bus around.
