Everything! We love a private hotel where you feel like home. Hosts are such a wonderful people, always there to call for anything you need. Location is perfect, right on the other side of Marriott, and Palm Beach is 5-7mins walk. Our room was spacious, pool always clean and fresh towels for beach waiting every morning.

For my needs, the location was perfect! Walking distance to popular beaches, shopping, some restaurants and a casino. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did their best to provide anything I needed and gave advise for everything else!

Booking.com said the Karibu had airport shuttle service, but they did not, at least not during my stay. The Karibu prefers cash payments, which was supposed to be on booking.com, but I did not see that listed anywhere. These issues were small items, easily fixed.

I love that the hotel was a 10 minute walk from great eateries, the beach and other hotel chains that had casinos and for my starbucks finatics that too. Another 10 minutes takes you to shopping and more restaurant options. If you want the ability to really relax and be in a smaller spot, this is the place. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. Would 10 out of 10 stay again. They definitely take pride in their property, are hands on in ensuring your happiness and are just really kind.

The bed was made up beautiful but was really stiff. I'm used to memory foam and a more middle of the road bed, not to hard not to soft. I also wish the shower was larger as a thick girl I felt like if I made the wrong move it would be curtains for me. For the record I was in the twin size room. Definitely Queen room next time.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and it was very easy to walk everywhere. The bed was very comfortable! The beach was right across the street which was so perfect. There were beach chairs and towels we could use and we felt like we were hacking the system by getting all of the perks without the resort prices!! 10/10 would absolutely recommend staying here!

Andras and Beya created a magical space with everything you might need. They go above and beyond to ensure guests enjoy their stay. The hotel is close to the beach yet is a quiet oasis to relax. Loved the kitchenette, comfortable bed, towel art, shared kitchen with BBQ, tranquil pool, and all the extras like beach chairs and snorkeling gear. We are already planning to stay there when we return. Thank you Andras and Beya!

Friendly owners, nice places to stay around the pool and in common area, books and games availble, very cozy, kitchen and tea and coffe available.

Very narrow stairs to the room (we have got the upper one), the bathroom is almost open (the doors do not really close, they are open in the bottom), the shower was leaking.

Very nice hosts and a super comfortable room, very large with wide windows looking over the pool. It was nice to have a kitchen for use. The owner also prepares coffee early in the morning for the guests. You can borrow beach chairs which I definitely recommend because they are very comfy and convenient at the beach.

The location is a little inconvenient because there is a green field in front of the property and then a major road. After you cross the road and walk down a little bit you arrive at the beach. The green field gets filled with water when it rains and it becomes impossible to walk through the field to the main road so you need to take a convoluted route that makes it longer. Overall I think it would take 15min to arrive at the beach. Of course, in return you pay a fraction of the price you would have to pay at a hotel on the beach and with a much smaller room. The hosts were very kind and they offered to drive us to the supermarket and to a nice beach nearby where you can snorkel and even sea the turtles if you are lucky.

The Karibu is a small (4 unit) boutique hotel 10-15 minute walk to the high-rise resorts and the public beaches. It is a regular gem of a place, with a central courtyard and other public spaces that encourage mingling with other guests. But the best thing about the Karibu was our hosts, a Dutch couple who did everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. On our anniversary, they even left a bottle of chilled champagne in the room for us to discover on our return from a marvelous dinner at the lighthouse restaurant (which they booked for us). The two downsides: The room was inconvenient, and the beach and Marriott resorts were farther away than I realized when I booked the Karibu. But the Karibu experience overall was great, and our hosts were hands down the best I've ever encountered in my long life.

Let's talk about the room itself. The bed was fine, perfectly comfortable and clean, and the daily housekeeping service was excellent. But the room layout seemed designed for people half a foot taller than my wife and I, and everything -- furniture, sinks, eating spaces, bathroom counter, etc. -- was a bit inconvenient. Also, thinking we were just across street from the beach, we did not rent a car. Big mistake. Our hosts started calling to get us one but things were tight and no cars were available until the last 4 days of our stay. Lack of wheels put a definite crimp in our activities, although taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced, and a bus runs in front of the high-rise hotels.

Karibu was very clean and comfortable. Andras and Bea are amazing hosts and their hospitality was above and beyond 😁 I was very grateful to have use of the fantastic pool on the property. It was quiet, nice to be away from the craziness of the big hotels. Would definitely stay here again

This place is an absolute gem! Andras and Beja are the kindest, warmest, most wonderful hosts. The location is excellent, 5 min walk to one of the best beaches I've ever been to (and I've been to some great beaches!). There's also a decently sized swimming pool with a laid back and relaxing ambiance at Karibu. There is fantastic snorkeling all along the coastline and karibu snorkel gear was perfect for swimming with the fish! Our room felt like home with a fully equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed, and a smart AC (there was also a large flat screen TV but we don't watch TV when there's so much to do outside). The wifi was top notch and carried me through daily conference calls. Reentry to the US was a breeze with quick and easy COVID testing within walking distance of Karibu. Results ready in 2h for AG, or 12h for PCR. The whole place was sparkly clean and just a dream!

Having to go back to the winter too soon.
