Customer service was amazing. I love that it was close to the wedding we were attending. Love that they accommodated our last min request for a villa with laundry facilities. The rooms are very generous in size. I really loved that there were shower products available in each bathroom. The bottles provided were large. There wasn't a need for us to bring our own body wash or shampoo/handwash. They provided a cot for us on request. The villas are perfect. Each room had aircon and a TV. Love the shuttle service they provide to pick you up from your villa and take you to where you need to go in the complex. Buffet breakfast was the best I've seen and eaten. Cannot fault anything.

The accommodation was very spacious and the little houses were lovely. The beds were very comfy.

My friend and I queried the day spa, we didn’t have an appointment booked as wasn’t aware there was such a large day spa attached to the resort. Though when we drove up there and enquired about availability at the day spa reception and treatments on offer we were told that they were fully booked by the woman behind the counter, the man there was trying to be obliging and check and see for us and explained about the day spa. However the woman was a bit abrupt and just kept repeating fully booked. Which is fine we understood that they may have been the case but she didn’t even attempt to check just over ruled the man from offering any kind of assistance further. That was on the Friday afternoon 22/11 that we arrived. We didn’t worry about enquiring any further.

We loved the location in central Hunter Valley wine region, the views of the valley and surrounding mountains, and the apartment was large, modern and spacious.

The apartment had a clothes dryer but no washing machine, an oven and cooktop but no pots and pans. There was no wifi operating so I couldn’t operate my computer or watch streaming channels on the tvs; the power points and USB points next to my bed didn’t work; the three telephones didn’t work; one of the large glass sliding doors to one of the bathrooms came off it’s track; the pelmet above the other bathroom sliding door was half falling down; the parking areas under the tennis courts need a doorway between them so people can access the stairs and the pathway from the far car park area more easily. Would be good to have a tv in the living area rather than in the two bedrooms.

The property is well presented with beautiful views. Our unit - 3 Bedroom townhouse, was very clean and tidy with everything you’d need for a short stay. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. Conveniently located near wineries and Hunter Vally Gardens. Hot showers and a comfortable bed. I would definitely choose to stay again.

Cypress Oaks was a great facility for our family. I could see that some people with restricted mobility would find some of the unit difficult to access. Our fridge did not seal properly and therefore items were cool but not cold.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment up at the spa. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, modern and clean. The kitchen had a coffee machine. The hotel has beautiful surroundings and lovely facilities. We loved seeing the kangaroos on the grounds and the hot air balloons in the distance. We would definitely like to stay longer next time and make use of the spa and book a game of golf.

Breakfast was very busy with lots of people and few staff to clear away plates, etc. The food was good though. The soundproofing in our room was not good. We could hear our neighbours' high heels on the floor above us and toilets flushing.

Staff and facilities were great. The villa was a great size and suited our family well. Plenty of space, albeit a few cosmetic issues throughout the house, it didn't impact our stay. There were renovations going on in the villa next to us, which were frustrating, but I don't believe they were not the doing of Cypress Lakes (I think it was privately owned). Loved the fire roaring each night, and the location of the resort was close to all the amazing places the Hunter Valley has to offer. The onsite restaurant was great, too. Would happily recommend it to others and book again!

The property was stunning with lovely views. Very clean, easy to find and we were able to be picked up from here for a winery tour.

The food. We called up at 5pm to see if we could book a table at the bistro for dinner on the first night. We were told “there are no tables but you could sit on the lobby but we dont know when because we are booked out”. When i asked about room service we were told there is a $10 fee for that or we could come pick it up. We chose to pick it up and after receiving our food we were told to line up (in a 15 people line to pay) i asked to have it charged to the room and they didn’t seem to understand what that meant. FFS. We were lucky that someone let us cut the line to pay so our food didn’t get cold.

I have been to Cypress Lakes resort over twenty times and know what to expect. Breakfast is a buffet which turns into a feeding frenzy on the weekends. The coffee offered at the resort is not worth the price - just drive to Enzo's around the corner and get a decent brew. The facilities of pool and spa are well kept but the tennis courts could do with some attention (I suspect they aren't heavily used). I cannot speak to the golf course as I did not use it. The villa is spotless and cleaned daily. Wallabies at dawn and dusk are a nice reminder of being out in the country and depending on the villa you are allocated the outlook is usually pleasant. You really have to target specific blocks if you want to book a villa with a premium view.

This is completely my fault but I missed the fact that this villa had a kitchenette (as advertised) - not a kitchen which is what I was expecting as per other villas that I have booked in the past. It was impossible to cook using the kitchenette - absolutely fine if you intend to eat out each meal but not what I had planned. So read the facilities list carefully. Also, this villa did not have wifi. You had to go to the lodge to get access to the free wifi. Not a big problem but if you were intending to work remotely from this place you would have found it difficult - tethering was impossible on Vodafone as I could hardly get a single bar of coverage. So basically I was off the grid for a three days.

Breakfast Included was very sumptuous. The location as per resort style is perfect. The room is spacious and great. Our accommodation was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a charming private terrace that offered breathtaking views of the golf course and the Poklobin Valley. One of the highlights of our stay was the serene pool area & SPA, which provided a perfect escape for relaxation. I also enjoyed the delicious meals at the on-site restaurant. What really stood out, though, was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect, offering helpful recommendations and making me feel genuinely welcome.
