I absolutely LOVED my stay - it was just what I was looking for! Superb place and luxurious 'cabins'. Lovely views. I drove myself and it was an easy location to access lots of great places the Hunter has to offer.

A little feedback on the beds is I found them too soft (sounds weird), I just sunk into it and it hurt my back. I improvised with a pillow underneath me to help sleep, and that worked. I stayed 4 nights, and really enjoyed the selection of breakfast that was left for me to eat for the duration of my visit. Though by the 3rd day, a fresh bit of bread would have been wonderful.

Room was beautifully decorated , nice and modern and very clean . Good sizing and was very quiet the duration of our stay Our stay had breakfast included - this was loaf of sourdough , fancy butter , big tub of yogurt , granola , fruit , avocado , 1litre juice . Plus tea and coffee facilities , well stocked mini bar , which all was excellent Huge double shower , very comfortable bed and the best pillows I’ve ever slept upon . Free wifi ,nice sized porch area and our room had a beautiful view , lovely modern pool area with heaps of sun loungers and beanbag style seating , use of beach bag and towels , ice machine , toilets next to pool area , they also had a shop called the pantry where they had food/drinks , Nick-nacks, candles and other stuff to buy - I bought some lovely mugs! The lane retreat is super close to everything . Longest drive we did to a destination was only 11 minutes . Woul definitely be staying again

Not a dislike - but maybe an improve upon suggestion —————If we had known about in house massages, it would’ve saved us travelling to Cessnock , and being traumatised by very rough massages lol but in saying that it’s not really a “didn’t like “ and we also didn’t think to ask so maybe that’s on us .

What a wonderful experience! We will be recommending this property to our family & friends. The cabin was just lovely with a balcony overlooking the vines. So romantic and peaceful. Cabin was nicely decorated and was very new and clean. The breakfast of granola, yogurt juice and banana bread was just delicious. Service from staff was excellent. Water bottles, robes, slippers and towels for the pool in the room. Also beautiful coffee table books to read in the room. Everything has been very well thought out. Loved all the little touches.

Windows appeared to have a mirror sheen on them from outside which was great for privacy however would have liked a blackout blind in the bathroom as when lights on in the evening wasn’t too sure to what extent other guests could see in.

I wanted a weekend escape in Hunter valley after a busy week in Sydney for a business conference. I was in doubt between the Lane Retreat and 1 other accommodation and I asked ChatGPT for help! So thanks to AI I made the perfect choice! This place was so peaceful and my room was so spacious. Also super new! I had the view to the small lake and the modern design reminded me of a movie! I wish I could have stayed one more night and wish I had taken photos of the kangaroo, they were so fun to see. I also saw the hot air balloons at dawn when checking out, which I didn't know they left from there. I didn't have an Australian number so all communication had to be via email since they don't have a formal reception etc. They do have a pantry you can purchase some items there and also fridge items for purchase. You get a continental breakfast which is already in the room. It had fresh cold pressed juice, granola, yogurt, some honey, banana bread. The bathroom was so nice! Super new! I wish there was a bath tub, maybe some other rooms have it. I loved the balcony area and sipping some wine while listening to nature. I actually went here without a car, crazy I know, but they shuttled me to the room and had shuttle to visit the Pizza Wood fire restaurant place at Bimbadgen. Overall, a lovely experience..

The bird woke me up as it was hitting on the glass, like for a while. so as stated by the hotel, don't leave door open as wild life may enter lol.

Superb location and beautifully presented. The landscape is stunning, walking to the sound of birds was bliss. The room are stunning, immaculate, the bedding incredibly comfortably and the bathroom brand new and very spacious. Loved the deck that comes off the large sliding door. The staff were lovely, from the lady at guest services, to the cleaning staff and the courtesy bus driver. The pool is gorgeous, great size and lots of day beds. 3mins down the road from their own winery, the wood fire pizza is delicious as is the moscato. Highly recommend this lovely place and will be ensuring an annual trip here with my sister again to celebrate our birthdays.

This place was fantastic, we were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the space was and how thoughtful the design. It had gorgeous views of Mount Broke and we watched kangaroos cross down to the water at sunset. Great pool, great produce for breakfast, and centrally located. We stayed on a Sunday night so I'm not sure whether the price fluctuates but it was a great price for the two of us and exceeded expectations. No fuss check in and check out and just very relaxing.

Beautiful newly built villa with luxurious bedding and well equipped bathroom and kitchenette. We particularly enjoyed the daily breakfasts, which were well balanced and filling and the reusable water bottles were a nice touch. The remote check in process was interesting and we were sent our check in code via message. But staff were around throughout the day and were friendly. The pool is divine and the big windows of the villa allowed us to watch the sun go down. The grounds are still being newly grown, but will be a delightful area of greenery once complete. There was also a wedding on one of the nights which looked stunning, this did not disturb guests at all and is on a separate area of the property. Perfect little getaway for couples to relax and reset. We will be back!

Our villa was connected to the one next door, and our neighbours could be heard throughout the day and night. Thankfully, the neighbours to the other side were quiet. There was no signage indicating a safe speed limit, and one of the guests seemed to feel it was the time and place to get his rally skills in check.

The breakfast was delicious. The water was a welcome extra. The bathroom was lovely and the twin shower was great. I love the tranquil location, looking out over the fields and the hot air ballons early on saturday morning were a bonus!

My husband didn't like the coffee but i didn't try it. It was a very hot day and there wasn't enough shade at the pool. These are very picky criticisms but I'm racking my brain to find anything else useful.

We had a brilliant stay at The Lane Retreat. Breakfast was incredible and generous. The room and bathroom were great - really clean and quiet! We had a view from the private balcony onto the lake which was also an added bonus. Pool was also amazing and such lovely temperature. Check-in was also seamless, we loved not having a key. Had a such a fantastic stay - we have already recommended to all of our friends & family!

We had a single studio sitting on its own by the dam. It was very private. The room was clean, modern and new. There were windows on 3 sides so it was light with good views and a little deck to sit outside on. I liked that it was sustainably managed. We could walk amongst the rows of grapes in the vineyard. Restaurants were a short drive away.

Minor detail - the continental breakfast was fine but it looked like the breakfast they left was for 2 mornings and eaten items weren’t replaced. We still had enough though.
