Once you leave the highway and head towards the retreat, the scenery is spectacular! Our cabin was beautifully decorated in a morrocan theme, with mosaics in the bathroom particularly stunning and the spa for 2 perfect! The bed was very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed and the views from the balcony heaven! And from the swimming pool...wow! The Friday night seafood platter was a highlight with beautiful fresh local produce, homemade dip, and prawn sliders. Also, it was great to have another night off cooking with one of the slow cooked meals on offer. We had a wonderful relaxing break thanks to our fantastic hosts Paul and Dianne.

A beautiful location and the cabin was amazing and self contained. The staff were so helpful and able to help with our travelling schedule. We had an illness in the family and had to move our trip forward and they were so accommodating. We even needed an extra night and they were able to help organise on extremely short notice. The check in system is easy and hassle free. Just drive straight to your cabin and let yourselves in. As we arrived late the first night, we even had the heat on for us, as it was a cold winter night, and the light was on to help guide us. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There was an offer for firewood so we could have a fire in the cabin, and the view from the back porch was amazing, great views and even saw some wildlife who came to visit. The kitchen has everything you need for a stay, easy and convenient to cook your own meals. The bathroom has a wonderful spa and spacious shower, with towels and robes provided. The bed was super comfortable and very relaxing. Overall a fantastic place, I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay when travelling in the area. 5 stars.

Basically the only negative was the distance from town, as we unexpectedly had to travel into Coffs quite frequently for a sick relative, but normally being away from the town would be a plus for us. But if you intend to stay as a getaway, to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it’s a great location, especially if you come prepared with food and drinks. You could easily spend a week in the cabin without leaving.

The cabin was gorgeous.

The barrage of automated emails became wearing, especially because a lot were irrelevant. Perhaps they could be filtered so that if you paid on booking, you are not hectored about paying. The useful one was the one that said that Google Maps could misdirect you; it promised detailed driving instructions but that wasn’t provided. There was enough information in the one that said to go to South Usland Rd.

The views were stunning across the back of the property, the cabin was wonderful and very tastefully decorated and the bed super comfortable. It felt very private and secluded.

The property was wonderful. We were a little worried when there was no one at the office and no one answered the phone when we arrived but we found the cabin and just moved in. All I would say is it might be helpful to send customers some clear instructions on finding the cabin and checking in if they arrive after hours or they dont know when they will arrive.

The views were absolutely stunning. I’m talking 11/10 delightful. The cabins face west so you get amazing sunsets from the living area and main balcony. The area is idyllic - quiet and picturesque. The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Pet-friendly, which is so very much appreciated. So relaxing. Would stay again!

Only 1 minor complaint, that has more to do with the expectations set by their messaging. Their copy-paste/automated messaging states they’re available if you need anything, offer farm fresh eggs, daily firewood refills, etc. But the opposite is true. No response to text, email, or call, and the reception is never open. The daily firewood refills never happen, and by the time you realize that, it’s too late to buy your own. No response to buying their eggs, and no response when the heater was not working on a cold night, etc. Better if they were upfront that you’re on your own, so that guests can adjusted accordingly instead of being disappointed and inconvenienced. But this is minor and I would definitely stay there again.

What an exceptional property! The surroundings, views, property and obvious care by the owners was fantastic. Thoughtful and detailed touches throughout. The team were personable, approachable and made you feel like they genuinely cared that you had a highly positive and enjoyable stay. What a find!

Unfortunately for us, we had a neighbour who enjoyed themselves with loud music. The property was quick to address it (without any prompt by us), however it was just a clash in types of experience both parties were wanting. Not the fault of the property nor either party but just impacted our stay from the desired silent retreat versus the neighbours. I can't even make this a complaint because everyone has a right to enjoy themselves and you just need to find a happy medium which they property and neighbours obliged with. Very well handled by the property themselves.

We booked a cabin at Friday creek as a stop over but it was far from being just a “stop over”. Gorgeous and cozy little cabins positioned overlooking a valley. The pool was great for the kids (5 and 2 yr old) and had amazing views. There are plenty of natural swimming holes and walking tracks nearby. For only a 20ish min drive from the highway, you feel a million miles away. Paul the owner was super friendly and made sure we settled in nicely. it felt like we’d known him for years. We wished we booked for longer. We will definitely be back.

The calm of the retreat, it is so lovely and quiet you can't help but relax. The cottage is wonderfully laid out with all the amenities you'll need for your stay and it is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The bath is a fantastic addition and coupled with the fireplace you be enjoying a warm night in. I highly recommend order extras on offer, the cocktails are wonderful and the meals are perfect, saving you the time and worry of what to have (not to mention if you're lucky, the spaghetti while be on offer).

Not a thing. Not once during our stay did we worry about something missing or having left something behind. We spent our time completely relaxed due to the thoughtfulness of the hosts. During your stay you won't have to worry, letting you truly enjoy your time away.

The owners were really nice and friendly. Fantastic customer service! The location is gorgeous, nice countryside yet still only a 15minute drive to Coffs Harbour. The cabin was perfect. So quiet, clean and spacious. Oh and the best beds ever!!! So comfortable! Had everything we needed. Pool was great. Nice and relaxing with awesome views. My 4 teenage kids loved it here! The perfect spot! They even borrowed their bikes and went for a little sunset ride. We had parking at our door. We couldn't fault anything! Definitely value for money. We'll be back.

Cant think of anything we didn't like! Honestly!

The location was magnificent. Whatever facilitates were advertised, were all available. The exact image of the cottage was given in website, which gave adequate clarity for the trip. Flexible and good support staff. Available whenever we called. The staff kept the property warm prior to our arrival. Really good understanding when we forgot the pet checklist, and we got an option to send an signed email regarding pet checklist.

Not much idea on the terrain of the location, as well the steepness of the place, unless we arrived. Had we reached past 7 PM, the drive would have been bit stressful.
