Fantastic location set in beautiful grounds. We rented 4 units in the main building, which were connected by a verandah. This was really handy for our extended family group. All units were more spacious than we anticipated. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of blankets and pillows. All rooms had been renovated, although not recently, and were reasonably heated. The covered outdoor area behind units 4 & 5 was an unexpected surprise. Very easy and reasonably safe access from the highway.

It would have been nice to have a microwave or some other means of heating food, although nothing was promised. Our units were superior to the Headmaster's cottage, which was quite austere and poorly heated in comparison.

Location great, we were looking for a spot to stop mid journey. Eling Winery was great location. There was little to no noise from the highway being so close. We got there late and the directions and room location was exactly as described. Being an old building the room was as expected. Old but comfortable, and the heritage features were just beautiful. In the morning it was lovely to see the gorgeous cottage gardens and lake. Would've liked to stay longer to explore the property and winery! Bed was comfy with beautiful bedding and great soft towels which is what you need after a long drive.

The bathroom was tired looking and could do with a spruce up and a cobweb clean out. BUT the shower was hot and amenities provided.

Staff were very helpful. The setting was beautiful and very quiet. The cafe on site was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. If it was good enough for Prince William...good enough for us

Our bedroom is comfortable and has been carefully prepared by the lovely staff for our evening arrival. The surrounding is picturesque. The cafe has delicious breakfast set within a cute building. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great place to spend a night travelling between ACT and Sydney.

It took me sometime and an extra attempt to make a turn on the highway during the night, but it was me alone... Now I know where it is I would love to make another visit😄

This was a lovely stay as we were completing two weddings in the southern highlands . Clean room ,beautiful grounds and convenient breakfast

In the winter in the highlands it is very cold ,the air conditioning struggled to warm the room . The hot water tap in the bathroom sink didn’t work as well as only one of the double showers .

Beautiful grounds and very lovely comfortable room. Super quiet. Cafe staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious.

The only things I’d point out, was that the security light outside my window ( room 2) was rather bright - but a bit of work with the curtains and a towel helped ( I need a dark room to sleep soundly!) But wouldn’t stop me at all from visiting again!

Although the breakfast was not included in the cost of the accommodation, it was wonderful. We also enjoyed an afternoon snack at the cafe which was first class. There were also a lot of other unexpected touches - chocolates, bubbly water, body soap and shampoo The property is old and very charming - was quite lovely Surrounding gardens also very nice

The bathroom was not as clean as I would expect; toilet seat was broken and shower quite dirty

The property itself is beautiful with very interesting historical buildings

It would have been useful to have a microwave in the room as there are no places to eat nearby if you arrive in the evening. We brought our dinner with us and the owners did make a microwave and crockery available on request.

Quaint country setting. The gardens are lovely. The bed was very comfortable. Easy access to the highway

The bathroom probably needs a bit of a renovation - dirty grout in the shower(an age thing), some cracked tiles, silver tape above the toilet and the toilet was very loud when you flush.

Beautiful building, cozy stay with lovely surroundings. That there was a winery and cafe next door.

No baby bed available, even though bookings.com had listed that. We had a 6 month old and had to rearrange the bedroom to fit a spare mattress on the floor and it was rather cold on the ground.
