We always stay at the Buccaneer Motel on all occasions while visiting family on Central Coast. The staff are wonderful, the staff know us, Always welcome. Rooms are clean and fresh, staff go out of their way to help you. Restaurants, walks along the lake at just a stones' throw away. And, it's on The Entrance Road, so turn left, and your on your way to Gosford, Wyong, Forrester's Beach, turn right, and you can go to The Entrance, Long Jetty and Shelly Beach.

Traffic, being on the main highway, there's a lot of traffic. ( We did not hear the traffic from our room ) And if your coming from Gosford Way, you can't turn into the Buccaneer Motel, you must go a bit further on the road, turn into side street, and come back, a lot of mucking around.

Our stay went very well and we would stay again with or without pets. A must stay if your in the area. Rooms were spotless and management couldn't have been more obliging.

We prepaid and check-in was incredibly quick and easy. The lady checking us in was lovely. She advised of the amenities in the room and gave us fresh milk for tea and coffee. The motel is pet friendly, but the first thing I noticed about the room was that it smelled lovely. Everything was simple but nice and clean. The majority of the grounds are smoke free, but there is a decent designated smoking area and everything was incredibly clean, especially given that they accept pets. The motel is situated well, right opposite the 7-eleven and a liquor store on the main road just in case you need a late night snack etc. wWe stayed on a long weekend so the motel was quite full but we didn’t notice any unreasonable noise any other guests. Another plus was the instant access to hot water for the shower.

If you look closely at anything, you’re going to find something and for me, it would be access to the bathroom. It’s a bit tight between the door, wall and vanity but once you’re in the bathroom with the door closed there’s plenty of room. The shower is a little small also but these are nit-picky issues and would not stop us staying there again.

Got in very late and the staff were really helpful. Lovely little motel with well appointed room. Nice lighting and felt very cosy and clean. Dog friendly which is amazing. Saw another fellow traveller with their little dog and felt very safe there. Would stay again if passing through the area.

They initially called to say I had to pay extra for my dog, after I had already booked and paid, but they didnt end up charging me, which was good. I would just say that it needs to be more clear on bookings.com if there are extra charges external to the system or clearly stated that your room doesn't include this fee. But my dog is a disability support dog, so I generally don't get charged extra / motels aren't meant to as it's a discrimination. But the staff were so lovely and easy to communicate with and I wouldn't mind paying the extra if I knew in advance.

I loved that the motel has the full range of Foxtel programming on their entertainment system. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels where you get a very, very limited range of entertainment. The rooms are basic but well apointed and have a microwave which is not found everywhere. The staff are wonderful and super friendly

The friendly service and how dog friendly they were! The rooms were also clean and the lady running the place was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! It was also extremely close to the Main city.

The beds were fairly uncomfortable but the blankets were clean and warm and there was no lingering smell of dogs despite it being dog friendly!

The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed super-comfy. I booked here as it is pet-friendly and I was travelling with my little dog for a vet specialist appointment, my doggy didn't end up staying with me as he was hospitalised overnight. I wasn't charged the pet fee even though I let the motel know short notice. I would definitely stay here again, particularly if travelling with my doggies.

There was a huge storm the night of my stay and there was a small leak in the ceiling. It didn't really impact my stay, and reception said they would get their handyman onto it. It's the only negative I can think of, otherwise I was happy with everything.

Travelling with a dog was a first for us and we were unsure how that would go but this pet friendly motel catered with a clean room and adequate space for all of us. Our dog settled easily. There was a good spot to walk the dog around the corner and a dog beach not far away. Beds were comfortable and we had a good sleep. Bathroom clean and adequate and microwave and fridge enabled us to pick up food and warm it up as needed .

Sorry we left a bit of sand and dog hair behind. It would have been good to have a broom in the room to be able to sweep out.

Some nice features in the room - flooring, bedding, touch sensitive lamps and artwork are all great additions and gave the motel a more quality feel to it. Love that it has pet friendly rooms

There is an additional cost for pets. While I don't object to this per say, I feel it should be refundable if no additional mess is made.

I liked walking in to a fresh smelling room which had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. Outside the room was a table and chairs to relax in. The room was really clean the staff were friendly and I could have my dog with me.

The parking got a bit tight which was fine for most of the time and needed negotiating with another motel resident once which was easy to do.
