A few hiccoughs had the potential to impact our stay.... remote for the TV had been stolen, bedside light was not working, pouring rain had drenched us... BUT the incredible support and kindness we received was outstanding. Daniel, the owner and Taylor, with good humour, attended to everything, even putting our sodden clothes in their dryer, and delivering them, folded and dried. They searched for a bedside lamp and installed it. THIS is real country hospitality. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and fresh, also.

we had a room with a shower. You could see how well the owner has put the room and ensuite together, it was decorated tastefully and a clean carpeted room. We both really enjoyed our 2 night stay. We used the Bistro the food we can recommend and a good choice. All staff kind and friendly. we would highly recommend. Also the shower was a great powerful spray and hot water. Handy to have a fridge in the room. there was air conditioning but we didn't need to use it.

A lovely room in a lovely part of the world. We enjoyed our meal next door in the pub, and found the service to be very positive. We were very comfortable and the room gave us everything that we wanted.

If you wanted to be picky, you could request a couple of extra hooks in the shower, and you could say that the room was a smidge on the small side. But you know what? We got great value for money, and we certainly aren't complaining about a thing. We loved our time here.

Always enjoy the Meals at Rod n Reel the baccomadation is always comfortable and quiet during the evening .. Staff always pleasant and helpful -- nice relaxing stay -- normally an over night break .

All was enjoyable and the Meal was excellent as per normal ...Kitchen staff always friendly ..

The Accomadation was perfect for an overnight and the meal was great at the hotel . There was a variety of different meals - bar service was excellent .

All was good and a walk along the river was good

Very clean, comfortable, surprised to have a mini fridge with coffee tea etc. great restaurant next door.

Only the old style bathroom and maybe have a sign or information to go to the bar for check in:)

Easy to find. Surprisingly quiet.very clean and with pub next door meals were easy. Plenty of cafes open early for breakfast and morning coffee. Fridge and tea making in room. No microwave in room . Great value.

Good place for a stopover on our way south on Christmas Day.

Everything was fine. Only thing was there were no glasses in the room for drinks. Tea and coffee making cups only.

Had a meal in the Hotel and it was good and the accomadation was nice and quiet at night all good and also comfortable ..

no issues all went well staff in Hotel where really helpful ..

I enjoy the country atmosphere and the quiet. Evening stroll along the river and the Hotel always good for a meal.

All was fine and had an ensuite in the room this time. All great .
