Showed up just before 2:00 to be told our room wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be ready at 2:00 so they’d call us, we had travelled 8 hours with cranky kids to then be told we’ll call you when we’re ready. Went closer to 3:00 when we got a call so well past check in time and found shaved hairs in the wardrobe

The location of our cabin was right in front of the jumping castle that was a BONUS thank you and i would like that Cabin location again

The Bed had BED BUGS and I did not sleep well at all and I had a red rash over my back, arms and legs the next morning. I told the lovely, helpful staff members and they were all very nice and helpful. They changed the mattress and sheets completely. The Cabin was no cleaned properly as there was a dirty towel behind the lounge chair and, make up brush left behind and a packet of popcorn left behind the microwave as well.

We were able to check in a little bit earlier which was very convenient. The room was very clean. It had everything you needed for cooking and cleaning. The beds were very comfy. The kids loved the pools. We will definitely be back!

Parking could have been a bit better. If you have other people walking around in the house, the whole house shakes.

It was a family gathering, and we had 2 cabins booked.. they were situated adjacent to each other and just across from the communal area, pools, etc. Was very handy for us. The communal BBQ area was a great space for our family pre Christmas gathering.

a couple more lounging chairs around the pool area would be nice. One of the chairs there had broken welding where the seat met the atm of the chair. I meant to report it before I left but didn't get around to it.

We were travelling from Cairns to Wollongong with our cats due to relocating and wanted to space out the drive. We were driving long hours everyday and couldn't get there before checkin, I was able to phone and arrange for the keys and a map to be left in the safe for us to collect. The lady I spoke to was so friendly and helpful.

It was a beautiful stay, we loved our accom so much it was perfect for our family.

I thought there was a playground? But i mustve been mistaken.we did take a wrong turn with the advertising before the turn, it looked like it was for our accom..not a big deal though.

We had a contained cabin near the pool which was perfect. Clean grounds, amenities and most things were in great condition, would definitely recommend for families with children

We had to leave...😅 other than the 2 bunks beds into a.room barely big enough to open the door and an unworking aircon (1 of 3 units didnt work) otherwise,I don't have any negative comments regarding our stay , was very pleasant

Great friendly place to stay with your dog makes it much better for us ,nice views by the lake and great facilities for kids

Nothing to not like , cabin had everything including very comfortable beds,,iron and descent storage for clothes, a good size fridge and well stocked with tea and coffee.

Really nice set up for a family of four. Bed was extremely comfortable!!

There were a couple of neighbours who mistakingly parked in our spot due to them not being clear about what spot was theirs. Potentially this could be eliminated with a small stake and room number to mark the spots.

Mackay Discovery Park was an exceptional place to spend quality time with family. Both the kids & adults loved the pool area. We were there over Easter. The free craft activities provided by the staff (MJ) went down a treat. Easter egg hunts throughout the park were awesome. Accommodation was clean & comfortable. The highlight for me as an adult would have to be the staff. A special thankyou to MJ. You are awesome. 👍
