The room was everything we needed as a family for a week away - great kitchen and washing amenities. Plenty of space in the lounge area so we weren’t always on top of eachother. Location was good, close to town but not right in the centre of it.

Only recommendations would be a blind or curtain for the smaller window in each of the bedrooms. Sun shines right in and being on holidays we tried to sleep in but was a little hard with the sun beaming down. Also some extra kitchen utensils - sharper knives, scissors and a mat to put the clean washed dishes on before drying them.

I had booked and paid at check-in for 7 nights but unfortunately personal reasons meant I had to leave after the first night. I mentioned in passing to the staff that I would appreciate some refund if that was possible. Without fuss I received a refund on my credit card for 5 nights. I was very happy for them to charge for the second night as I checked out late.

Very close to a local market center. There is even a meat shop to buy for BBQ and enjoy at in-house hotplate. Staff are nice and helpful. There was a cyclone landfall during our stay. The staff took care people's need during the landfall, very nice!

Wifi connection is a bit complicated. I folowed the instruction, still didn't manage the setting in the end. The gym requires some maintenance. The weight is not adjustable anymore.

The location was good and relatively easy to find and the people were very friendly and helpful.

We were on the first floor and therefore the traffic noise and noise from doors closing on ground floor (I believe the door entry from car park entrance and also the entrance from foyer) was able to be heard quite easily but particularly at night.

carpet was appallingly filthy to the point where you hopped around trying to avoid the stains, disgusting. couch wasn’t much better 🤢 (rooms 53a & 53b) evacuation alarm went off at midnight for no apparent reason. paid $60 for a baby cot but it had no sheets? so odd. wouldn’t stay again for these reasons, it could be so much better with these few improvements

Nice balcony, although didn't get to use it. Perfectly good for an overnight stop. Comfortable bed.

Would be better if no smoking was allowed at all on the premises, as the person underneath our apartment smoked and coughed from early in the morning, disturbing sleep. Very poor internet connection. It only worked in one part of one room.

Nardeen was very helpful since we had late check in until our check out time. The room was highly well maintained at the highest quality, and most important it really feels like our home. We love the layout of the room, and the privacy of the balcony. This has made our first time staying in Mackay so memorable. Price also equal with the quality offered. We definately will be back on our next visit and highly recommended to friends, families and colleagues.

Nothing. We loves everything in a whole packages

The apartment was close to shops and convenient as within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. It had all the basic cooking utensils and the beds were comfy.

The cleaning was very basic on arrival, the walls and floor were still dirty and the shower metal frame had something white smeared all around it. It would have been awesome to have a coffee pod or plunger for the morning coffee. we also had a blocked drain in our laundry facilities and therefore due to the long wait for a plumber needed to find other facilities to wash our clothes.

Seemed like the pillow cases has been forgotten and were not changed. There were obvious stains and hair left on all sides which were unacceptable. Inspected the linen and sheets and were clean. The filthy pillow cases ruined my impression on Oaks as we always book with them.

The room felt comfortable and the room layout was well thought out. Access to the building and carpark was easy and connection to WiFi was also made simple. While there were noises during the evening, they did not impact our experience and certainly were not loud enough to disrupt our sleep. Even having a room immediately next to the gym had no effect on our stay.

The bed wasn't to our liking as it appeared to sink towards the middle. I believe updating the quality of the bedding would have further positively impacted our stay. Only other negative was that most of the allowable car park bays were not under cover, and while car park was in a secure setting, undercover would have been preferable.
