Beautifully presented

Positioned by the sea and the room I had was excellent in terms of size and the facilities offered were of a good standard. I found the staff to be particularly helpful and welcoming and they clearly made considerable efforts to positively interact. Faultless.

The restaurant and bar seem to be operated independently and although nearly all of the staff were engaging and positive I was not convinced by the food on offer which I did not find exciting despite a menu that tried to be different. But I have to recognise many people eat there who appeared to be fans of the menu. Personally it’s a great space that could offer so much more with better food.

The hotel is in a great position straight across from the beach. They offered free bike hire which was great!! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All with a smile on their face when you saw them.

The smell of cigarette smoke in the room. When we arrived and checked in we could smell it in the room and I was woken up very early I. The morning with the smell again. Not sure if it was coming through the air con or what was going on but when we went to take the life down to go for a walk another guest was complaining to the reception girl who had come up to our floor to investigate. This smell was around for the whole 2 night we were there. Also the wifi was not working at all.

It was a last minute booking to be closer to the airport the night before an early flight for my husband and we couldn't have been happier! In fact, it will be our new overnight getaway hotel! The bed, pillows, shower and other room facilities were perfect! The view, holy wow!!! Moreton Bay truly is remarkable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulous, coffee the next morning was also amazing. The roof top bar wasn't open the night we were there but we loved that it's still available for guest use. All staff were also fantastic! We honestly couldn't fault it and can't wait to get back there!!

Not a single thing...

The food in restaurant was v v good, reasonable prices and excellent staff. Lots of good variety. Big room w nice view - even from the side where we were located. Sunny balcony and big glass doors added to enjoyment: Perfect loc for walkers.

The cleaners decided to vacuum at 8am on sat morning outside our room! Not sure why but they did the entire corridor. Most people want to sleep in but this was totally poor timing and decision making. We like to walk. So we enjoyed walking to and from the restaurant district of Redcliffe. 15-20min away. Others may not and need to take that into account

From the first entry at reception I was greeted warmly and informed of procedure. I dined at Table 20 on both nights and Dinner each night was brilliant. The wait staff especially Victoria is an asset to your Motel. She was engaging and open. The same for the staff on Sunday night. I had a lazy Sunday on the Roof Top Bar listening to music and Victoria and Meg were superb with service and banter. Your staff are a pleasure to deal with and I shall return agin in the New Year.

Nothing to not like.

I found everyone was really friendly. Specially the reception team and a cleaner named Anna. Not only accommodating but also friendly on a personal welcoming level. Anna in particular was so sweet to our children. When they made our beds up while we were out they set my kids squishmellow pillows up in the cutest way. It was a really nice thing to do. We had just experienced a really difficult time at home with the tornado over xmas so we had no power or running water (still don't) but our stay here really gave us the ability to resettle and refresh our perspectives before returning home to continue the battle of damages to our home and to have the team at the sebel treat us so warmly... it just felt like we had gone to stay with family for a positivity booster. I appreciated that. Thankyou

I can't think of anything we didn't like, everything was well kept and easy access to anything we needed. I think the tv sound was too low. We had to turn it up to 90 to hear a movie but that was it.

Excellent view, in front of the beach. Heaps of amenities, all well thought and clean. Supermarkets and plenty of restaurants in walk distance. We liked the cafe under the hotel for breakfasts. So conveniently located and serves quality menu. The room we stayed was well sized. Bathroom and shower were huge as well as the living area. Had a great balcony and table and chairs placed conveniently on the balcony which provides great atmosphere for morning coffees or basically at any time of the day. Great team, friendly and helpful.

Some loud cars and motorcycles browsing through the area. It was probably a weekend thing, but if you leave the balcony door open to hear the sound of the waves, loud engine noise is sometimes what you have to bear too!

Great location to the beach and access to Sunny’s roof top bar is great with amazing views and pool for the kids.

Breakfast was included for all 4 of us at time of booking but voucher provided was only for 2 adults and kids not included. This could’ve been better explained when booking. Food was great though at Sunny’s restaurant.

Location was perfect, room was very adequate and comfortable. The TV was easy to operate, and it was a very quiet room. We also had a disability car park spot which was very convenient for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at Sonny's was beautiful. We loved the rooftop bar and live music.

The only complaint was the queen bed was too soft and when your partner turns over you feel every wobble. So he ended up in the other bed.
