Awesome! John gave us a friendly welcome and a tip for a chance to get a visit from a striped possum during our stay - it worked! When we hopped out at our cabin, there were lots of animals in view! A red-legged pademelon, musky rat-kangaroo, Bower's shrikethrush, grey-headed robin, brush turkey, Lewin's honeyeaters AND Victoria's riflebirds!!! We saw a male display before we even went inside our cabin! We enjoyed listening to the eastern whipbirds and spotted catbirds of the morning, and after looking for Boyd's forest dragons at Lake Eacham one day - no luck - we saw two in a chase from our cabin! Groceries, eateries, and lovely wildlife-spotting nature-based walks are within a 10-15 minute drive away!

The cottages were amazingly peaceful and relaxing. The hosts John and Jenny were very friendly, and the special inclusions were very thoughtful- food to feed the birds and padymelons, the breakfast hamper, port to have by the fire with unlimited wood, DVDs to watch and bubble bath liquid for the bath. Highlights were hand feeding the rifle birds and watching the male courting dance, as well as watching a mother padymelon with her offspring and three very cute and timid musky kangaroo rats.

Everything was so well thought of, but perhaps only the lighting in the cabin which was dark with no lights on but a bit harsh when they were on. The bedroom would be nice with the option of softer reading lights.

The cottages were in a beautiful location surrounded by rainforest. Sitting on the deck, we could watch and feed the local wildlife, and the book of photographs helped us easily identify them. John was a friendly host that was more than happy to help us with whatever we needed. Everything we needed for our stay was provided in the cottage. The breakfast hamper, port and chocolates were great too.

Having to leave.

Generous breakfast, comfy bed, efficient heat-pump (needed), good shower, good amenities, entertaining wildlife, private, close to other tourist attractions - we had planned to visit more of these but enjoyed one morning just hanging out on the deck of the cute cottage watching the birds and animals. It was the highlight of my husband's holiday!

Not a dislike, but be prepared for a short unsealed track going in. Not a problem but took us by surprise. Also take warm clothes as being quite high in the hills and totally in the rainforest, it was cool.

Everything. I had two criteria - quiet and cool. Both boxes were ticked. Waking up in the middle of a rainforest was amazing, the wildlife was amazing and the property was so comfortable. I liked that I could cook, with a really kitted out kitchen, over Christmas. The breakfast hamper was abundant. Getting meal worms and pellets to feed the birds and local characters was a treat.

Loved being in the rainforest. The cottage was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. There was a fabulous photo book put together by the owners to assist with identifying birds and animals. The gorgeous town of Yungaburra was only a ten minute drive away and beautiful Lake Eacham only a couple of minutes.

Generally everything was perfect. If I had to be really picky I was a bit concerned about feeding wild animals however the food provided was suitable and it did enhance the experience.

stunning location, immaculate cabins, great owners. I loved all the little details like fresh flowers and the cabin is self contained and they have oils, sauces, cling wrap all the things you usually forget. They have thought of everything! The beds are comfy and the spas are amazing. then outside your door you literally have rainforest and all the beautiful wildlife that comes with that. 3 min drive from the stunning lake Each so this spot is literally Paradise. Could not recommend more highly.

Everything about this place is just magical! From and enormous breakfast hamper, to very tasty port to animal life to silence! Paradise....abolute PARADISE!

The length of my stay!

Very secluded, beautiful setting in the middle of a rainforest. Surrounded by nature. There were birds of Paradise dancing on our Balcony. Lots of nature. Large venue with well thought out decor - Comfortable. Very kind and generous hosts.

Wifi a bit patchy if you need to access the internet for business/work.

our first time here and wont be our last, it rained the whole time and was still wonderful, in the past I have never rated 10/10 for anywhere as I believe no place is absolutely perfect, but I give these cottages 10/10 everything was thought of, like fresh flowers, candles etc.
