Loved the room, it was nice and spacious and felt like a mini house with a "front" and "back" door lol, and had a nice big comfy bed. The grounds were lovely, with all the rooms having a porch/veranda area with seats overlooking the pool and bbq area. Liked the fact you could park your car just outside your room. The whole resort feel of the venue with the long driveways, the lake, the cellar door and restaurant, made us feel like we were further away from home than the 45mins we were. We were only there 2 nights for a friends wedding, but would have like to have stayed longer and utilised the bike hire option available for exploring McLaren Vale more.

Wasn't much we didn't like, and it's really minor - however, felt that the tea, coffee, and sugar supplies were a bit low, and there could definitely have been more milk provided (and it was a little awkward having to pour into the coffee cups from the straw!)

The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending nearby. The setting is beautiful and the property is actually quite extensive. Loved seeing the ducks around the lake. My partner took advantage of the complimentary wine tasting in the cellar door and enjoyed the Shiraz, port and grenache. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The accommodation is definitely in need of an update, the decor and bathroom are looking tired and dated. Everything was functioning though. Would've been nice to have had a full size ironing board in the room - not easy ironing on a quarter size table top board... Staff were friendly and we were able to have our room early which helped enormously.

Rooms are beginning to look a little dated (Really not a problem) Sparkling water at the restaurant was charged at $10 per 750ml bottle- this is really over expensive and we were not given the price when responding to the question would you like still or sparkling water. Lots of restaurants provide this free of charge- fizzed on site form tap water. We were given bottled water from Italy (environmentally a VERY poor option)

Room was great with plenty of space. Bed was okay. Plenty of powerpoints although some were not able to be used due to a rail running below them only allowing plugs that went straight in. Items like power packs which connect through the bottom of the pack couldn't be used due to interference with the rail. There were enough elsewhere to use though.

There was no microwave which would have been handy. There was also only a small amount of space in the fridge due to the provsion of wine and water in the mini bar.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The view across the green lawns with gum trees is relaxing and peaceful. We asked for a coeliac continental breakfast which was generous and delicious. The reception and service staff were very accomodating with our request for a slightly later check out time and we requested a microwave in our room. We highly recommend an afternoon on the deck at the cellar door - the wines are delicious (you get a free wine tasting for 2 people with your room booking) and they offer delicious cold meat and cheese platters - which can have gluten free crackers etc.

We would have liked the restaurant to be open for lunches and/or more dinners. It is only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday for dinner and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday for lunch so we did not get to try the delicious sounding food as we stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

The staff in the restaurant were fantastic and provided excellent service. We were unable to get transport into McLaren Vale for our dinner booking. When we enquired at the Serafino restaurant if we could eat there the staff, particularly Ante, added an extra table for us as the restaurant was fully booked. Excellent service and delicious meal!

Although it's advertised that Uber and taxi service was available in McLaren Vale we could not get any to transport us into the main town for dinner, we were subsequently told there is very little service available - disappointing. Serefino was an excellent place to stay although the rooms are looking a little tired.

What a fantastic property this is. Our room was vast and elegantly decorated, with a huge and very comfortable bed. The resorts grounds were amazing and we enjoyed several walks around the little lake and through all the wonderful gum trees. The location was excellent - just a minute from the village of McLaren Vale and all the Wineries, Gin Distilleries, Breweries and great eateries - an excellent place to base yourself. We loved our 3 day stay here and would highly recommend it.

The big and well spaced bathroom could do with a fan above the shower.

The size of the room, patio/verandah, laundry and parking were a bonus. The room had all we needed and was serviced daily by friendly and helpful staff. The location is quiet, surrounded by trees, lawn, and is close to town. We really enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting and commend the cellar door staff . They were welcoming and knowledgeable. We liked the wines and joined the wine club. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed during our stay.

Very quiet, peaceful setting, no road noise. Far enough away from winery to not feel like you were at a winery all the time but close enough to walk back after tastings! Pool was lovely. Perfect place to finish a day of wine tasting in the Mclaren region! It was very relaxing to sit outside our room with a glass of vino and just watch the world go by. It's an old hotel, but this adds to the character of the place. Room was a great size for a family. Parking at the back door, seating at other door! So we weren't looking at cars while relaxing.

Bathroom needs updating - our shower wasn't the best, but reported to reception so should be addressed.

We based ourselves at Serafino for a family wedding so we were not around the property for long but the room size was perfect for us - I had the king room and it was so spacious, very clean and just perfect for my needs. The rest of my group had a family room and it was fantastic for them. What a setting as well - it was so nice to wake up to the sounds of nature. Even with people moving about I still managed a small sleep in after a hectic day before and an awesome wedding.

My only criticism was the mattress - not horribly uncomfortable but it had a definite indentation in the mattress which made it a little uncomfortable. But I reported to reception when we checked out and they said it would be replaced. I overcame this issue by using the cushions on the bed and after got a great night's sleep.
