Friendly helpful staff, on site at check in. Bed very comfortable. Lovely crisp sheets - real doona (not folded back sheets over inlay). Shower good water pressure, hot and like remainder of unit very clean. View over Barham River across to crushing waves and sand dunes was better than expected (unit 23). Small balcony to sit with table and chairs to enjoy the view and those walking into AB township. If you want have a few drinks it was only a 10 min walk into busy main street. Internet (Optus & Telstra) very strong. Car parking not allocated to unit but certainly no problem (on property, not Great Ocean Road)

No microwave, but we simply used the hot kettle to warm our milk for breakfast. Couch was a little old but we watched TV and the waves from bed. No paid TV network (or DVD?) but hey we were not there to watch TV all day. To get the view from apartment you do need to walk up about 15 steps - but it was worth it. There is no pool but several beaches mostly 5 min drive to. Recommend Mounts Bay (no Lifeguards).

What a lovely view. We had a ground floor unit but it still had a lovely view over the beach. Shower was hot. Bed was comfy. Genevieve at the front desk was delightful. It was good value for money (i did see the price to book did climb substantially closer to our date of booking. Lucky for me i had booked well in advance).

The bathroom needed some hooks to hang the towels (rail wasn’t big enough for 3 towels plus hand towel). It would be good if there was a mixer for hot and cold water in the shower not just individual taps.

The room was exactly as advertised in the pictures. Clean, comfortable with a nice view out towards the water. It was a great price for 2 of us to stay for a single night while driving down the great ocean road. Very easy walking distance to all the restaurants and shops, which was great to not have to drive again in order to get food after a long day behind the wheel.

As a few people mentioned the rooms are a little dated, but honestly still perfectly clean and comfortable which is all we really wanted, so I don't consider this much of a negative.

The room was clean and equipped with basic amenities. Nice ocean view with free Parking. Hassle free check and out.

We regret it as we ignored that the motel doesn't have a microwave. You are surprised with the immediate power cut ( staff is very cooperative though always there to help you and one phone call away ). There isn't room service kind of thing or if there is they aren't promoting it. If you have enough time, you can go with a better option for the same prize.

The view from room 5 (ground floor) was absolutely beautiful. The weather that weekend was quite bad but I could have sat at my window and watched the ocean, waves and rain come thru all day. Easy walk into the main town of Apollo Bay and surrounding beaches.

The rooms are quite old and really need to be spruced up with new paint and new bathrooms otherwise beds and linen were comfy and clean.

As the name suggests....a great ocean view. Our room had a window with a balcony. Perfect for sitting out and enjoying the view! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Crockery and cutlery was supplied as per request so very much appreciated. We've stayed here before so felt it worthwhile to revisit.

Car parking was a little tight, especially if you have a large SUV or 4wd. But manageable. The motel is looking a little tired in some areas, but for the price, that didn't bother us too much.

View was great. Located close to town and beaches. Room was clean apart from couch. Would stay again.

Couch had a lot of hair on it and was a bit tatty. Probably needs to be cleaned better or replaced. A little over priced but may be due to booking dates.

Amazing view from our room of the beach. Comfortable beds and clean sheets. Friendly host on arrival. 10 minute walk from Apollo Bay town centre. Great value for money.

Unfortunately, there was a gap around the door into the room. This meant that due to the weather being bad the room could get very cold. However; the heating was highly sufficient so we weren't cold for long, but had to place a sheet in front of the door to keep the breeze down.

Beautiful views down the coast, even from the first floor. A great place for an easy stay along the GOR drive.

No cons. We noted a maintenance issue they were unlikely to find without someone mentioning it and they were quite appreciative that we pointed it out.

Location is amazing, beautiful view over the bay, and private balcony, was quiet with only the sound of the ocean at night, which we loved. Staff were very helpful and made an undercover area available for my Harley. Rooms was a good size, and bathroom was clean and functional, facilities provided were great. Bed was very comfortable. About 600 mtrs walk back into town, which we liked, but a taxi service is available too.
