The views from both the room and restaurant were spectacular with a balcony with a view of the ocean from the hillside. Many exotic parrots visited us and wallabies were seen grazing in the am. There were floor length windows everywhere. Absolutely awe inspiring. The staff was exceptional, very friendly, ready to please and absolutely wanting to ensure your experience was exceptional. The food was wonderful and there was an extensive wine list. We stayed at the villas for 4 nights and ate on site 2 of the nights. A very nice continental breakfast was served each morning and included with the room. The location was nice. About 10 mins from the town of Apollo Bay. That area serves as a good base point to stay a while and take day trips along the great ocean road and into the Otways.

The rooms were clearly in need of updating which tended to give the impression the cleanliness was lacking, but honestly I do think the facility was clean. I can imagine that in its hayday this was truly a 5 star lodging. I hope someday it will be again. The property is currently up for sale.

The views are truly amazing! Loved seeing the king parrots and kookaburra’s on/from the balcony. Everything you need is in the villa, it’s comfortable and the Bathroom, kitchen and kitchen items are good quality. Onsite restaurant was wonderful for evening meal and breakfast. Good parking. We loved it!

When we arrived the villa was roasting but it was 42 degrees outside! Air conditioning helped in lounge after a while but bedrooms don’t have air con and were initially very hot. Windows do have slidable insect screens so was able to ventilate room and it did cool in the evening. Had issue with bathroom door which was dealt with straight away. Any initial small niggles were outweighed by the stunning views.

The path leading to the villas and restaurant is lengthy and secluded, providing an element of surprise and a unique experience. The elevated position of the villa offers a captivating view of the surrounding landscape. The staff demonstrates exceptional friendliness and professionalism, while the culinary offerings are of the highest caliber. Upon waking, we were delighted to encounter two iconic Australian animals, a wild koala and a kookaburra, enhancing the overall experience. The villa's heating system effectively maintains a comfortable temperature in the living area, and the heated beds ensure a cozy and restful sleep during the cold winter months.

The toilet bowl could use some cleaning.

😅 Breakfast, would expect a much higher standard

The facility is well located with great views. Check in was effortless and it was easy to get to our unit. Service during our stay was excellent and the staff were happy to look after us. They did our laundry overnight and returned it to us first thing in the morning. Great service! From our unit one morning we observed close up a koala climbing down a tree right outside our apartment. Hard to beat. The morning continental breakfasts were excellent. The dinner was also excellent with a very good range of local wines. I highly recommend this facility.

This facility is a little expensive although for the money you get a lot.

Chris's has the most breathtaking view. 180 degree ocean view, accompanied with the Zen of Australian bush. All the staff treat you like family. They are kind, friendly, knowledgeable. The food is amazing. I was lucky to get the last serve of tuna, caught fresh that morning in the Bay, with the lightest, freshest apple salad to accompany. The other meals were also a delight.

The rooms are a little tired, but always very clean.

The staff were wonderful. The view is priceless. The restaurant was as amazing as ever!

Maybe a little more attention to detail with the cleaning? Butts were left in the ashtray on the balcony. Carpets need a good steam clean...or maybe replaced? The timber work on balconies, around doors & windows needs a good sand & relacquer. I appreciate how difficult upkeep would be in such an unforgiving environment. It would make such a difference to the appearance of the rooms.

The view at Chris' is second to none - absolutely breathtaking, and the continental breakfast was a lovely surprise!

The villas are comfortable but outdated and pretty dirty. Our windows were in desperate need of a clean and the bedroom and bathroom doors wouldn't shut. The lamp didn't work and the couch was gross. The accommodation needs deep cleaning and updating.

It was a great location not being too central to the town. Beautiful surroundings and most obvious, the view from the room is surreal! Had an easy check-in and out experience and staff were friendly and helpful.

Only thing was the cleanliness. Surfaces were wiped and floors vacuumed, however, corners and edging were thick was dust, roof had large dangling webs, squashed bugs and their blood on the blinds and cushions, rugs etc. could do with a deeper clean.

Although away from a town, it was very well signposted. The view was superb. The catering was excellent. We dined at the villas' own restaurant that must have been the best for miles around and had a good wine list, and the breakfast was simply stunning. Very well trained staff.

Because we are an ageing foursome we would have liked a second bathroom, but we managed all right. But really, because we appreciated our stay so much saying anything negative would be invidious.
