Fantastic location in the centre of Lorne, very convenient to have guest parking so close to everything in town. Staff were super friendly and efficient, we got drink vouchers on arrival and were kindly accommodated by bar staff, there was also security from 5pm onwards. Room was clean and freshly decorated, bed was comfortable, shutters on windows blocked light from car park. We dined at Totti's down stairs, before walking along the beach, we had a fantastic stay at the Lorne Hotel

We stayed on the 2nd of January so the town was very busy. Some fireworks were set off late in the evening but otherwise perfect location!

Great location and very clean fresh hotel

We had a family room ( think it was the only room left when booking) and glad we did, it was very spacious. Gorgeous big bathroom, with gorgeous toiletries, very comfortable bed, and had a beautiful meal in the bistro, really couldn't fault our stay! At a push, a vanity cabinet in the bathroom would be great and I suppose it can't be helped if the neighbours are noisy 😉 The location is stunning, and the coastal walks are beautiful! A really lovely little town well worth a visit!

Struggled to find something close by for breakfast, don't think the hotel restaurants provide this!

Great location, restaurant in the pub had a great steak special on A Monday night. Rooms modern

Guest services left a lot to be desired. No milk or tea in our room when we checked in. Had to go to reception to ask for this. The bathroom is small and no room to put your toiletries bag/s there were 3 of us!! The full body mirror was virtually unusable because of its location and the room pendant lights were too long and we kept hitting our heads

The lovely Tiffany was kind enough to upgrade us which was nice 🙂. Lovely 100 year+ hotel with modern facilities right in the foreshore and central to everything in Lorne.

We lucked out with the weather as a few of the nature walks were closed due to weather damage but, that's the chance one takes when travelling in Winter.

location of the property was unreal, on top of the lorne pub, next door to tottis and a short walk to the beach / shopping strip. the room was spacious for 3 people with bags and the beds were comfortable. receptionist tiffany was very friendly and made us feel welcome. parking on site was safe and secure.

there were stains on the carpet (looked like wine) which was unappealing.

Sounds like a lot of complaining below, but just telling you so you know - we enjoyed our stay and the room was lovely with a great view of the beach.

The menu is boring but fine Doona on the bed was way too small for the width of the bed - didn't make it to the edge so inadequate to cover us both. Window rattle loudly all night (windy night) There is loose iron on the roof too - needs attention

The location is great. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and what you would expect for the hotel's age and the price you are paying. It is great value. The beds were very comfortable, and everything in the hotel was nicely done. It is a bonus that there is a Totti's downstairs to book for meals! Great pub hotel to stay in across the road from the beach.

The location was great, opposite the beach where the event was that we were attending Would have liked to be able to have breakfast at the hotel Would also have appreciated a lift but were aware that it wasn’t available Pleasantly surprised by the large welcoming bedroom, very comfy bed and the tranquility Bistro was great and enjoyed the meals Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful

Television reception was poor

The location is great, across from the beach, walking distance to town. The room was lovely, great for a short stay and good facilities. We also had dinner at the hotel which was also fantastic, was quite busy.

There was nothing we didn't like. It wasn't an issue for us, but there does not appear to be any disability access (that we saw anyway), only stair access through the front and the rear from the carpark.
