The room was spacious, comfortable --- best pillow I've had in a long time (I like foam, not feathers, and it was a nicely-stuffed volume). That the sink was part of the bedroom (not part of the bathroom) was a nice change in that it allowed one person to be getting ready for the day and not get steamed/hot while the other took a shower.

The toiletries (soap/conditioner/shampoo) is located OUTSIDE the shower facility; so every time you need to access one, you need to open the shower door and reach outside. This removes the warmth of the shower as well as spreads water on the floor. There is clearly enough room in the shower stall itself to have installed these toiletries within the shower itself, so it's unclear why it was installed in such an inconvenient location.

Great location near to the beach and other facilities (shops, restaurants, parks etc). Clean room with nice quality bedding and towels. Use of washing machine and drier included in the price of the room which was really helpful. The apartment was nice and light with nice views of the gardens and tennis courts.

A few of facilities were a little tired in the room (bathroom tiles , cooker) Lots of windows, which, was great but made the apartment very overlooked on the ground floor (we had to keep the curtains closed for most of our stay). Would be benefit from having mosquito grids on some of the windows.

The Heritage room was very nicely decorated . The bed was comfortable . Didn’t like the pillows , way too soft , but that is a personal thing . I normally take my own , but forgot this trip .Toaster and kettle , some cutlery and crockery on hand . Plenty of tea and coffee etc…. All I all quite nice.

I always rinse the kettle before I use it . It was full of white muck . It appeared some idiot had boiled milk of noodles or something like that in it …. I contacted reception and a clean new one was provided. promptly . I was a bit concerned about the dangling spouting over our third floor balcony . It needs to be fixed before it falls on someone . I did mention that to Reception as well . I am very safety conscious was a Paramedic for 40 years .

I’ve stayed at Mantra in other cities of Australia before! Also Mantra Lorne is AMAZING 🤩 I stayed with my parents! They totally love it there! They even wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately due to my work in Melbourne we couldn’t stay any longer ☹️☹️ All the staff are amazingly friendly, professional as in accepting and accommodating their gusts! I even have observed them with other guests! Totally lovable staff and amazing place to stay and enjoy your trip! Soooo close 5 min walking distance to the beach 🏖️ AMAZING! All surrounded with great restaurants, cafes and enjoyable shops! Only 5 min walk to them!!! The best thing about Mantra Lorne is its unbelievable cheap and affordable prices! Beautiful, clean, neat and well designed rooms! GREAT VIEW to the ocean! We didn’t want to sleep and just watch out from the windows and the balcony! I definitely recommend everyone to book at Mantra Lorne ONLY!!’ 😍 Oh my god the pool, spa and sauna !!! You even prefer them to the beach! Soooooo clean and nice!!! U won’t leave there!! We definitely did not like the bed and we definitely did not like the pillows we don't like the fact that two single beds were pushed together to make a double bed for my husband and I being tall people you would just roll straight into the middle which is very pathetic and the pillows were like paper what happened to the bed and pillows that you've had exactly one year ago they were fantastic and it was a whole entire bed not too single beds

It's walking distance from our accommodation, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast food are great, variety of selections, area was very clean, safe/tidy.

Just the carpet floor and couches of our accomodation was absolutely need to change full of dirty foot steps marked and lounges was giving me pain or asthma, I stayed mostly on our bedroom, shower was very old hard for us to operate or turn it. We ended up showering like English Pom style..then the last day we just decided to shower back home.

On September 30th, I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the gentleman at the front desk who checked us in (I don't remember his name, but I do remember that he wore glasses). Due to complications with the website booking and payment, I was anxious about potential issues upon arrival. However, the staff member's exceptional politeness and calm demeanor effectively resolved the problem, ensuring that we retained our room at the agreed-upon price. I apologize for any rudeness displayed during the check-in process and sincerely appreciate his assistance. His professionalism, coupled with the hotel's excellent amenities – including the delicious breakfast and ideal seaside location – made our stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Mantra Lorne to anyone traveling the Melbourne Great Ocean Road, citing its cleanliness, pleasant atmosphere, and outstanding staff.

The Mantra was in a great location, the rooms had a great view of the ocean, were very clean and tidy. The weather was really terrible for the first 2 days so it was great to have the indoor pool for the kids as well as tennis courts and gym for me. Would happily stay there again. Highly recommend.

The TV was limited to digital channels and with the weather being so awful it would have been good to have some other options. I did note that I could have bought a Chromecast and used my phone, not a big deal. The actual hotel itself was very cold, whereas the rooms were warm and comfortable.

Welcoming from the start. Well-appointed rooms with good views. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with ample seating. Enjoyed dinner on our 1st night there. Lots of great choices on the menu. Lorne is beautiful whatever the weather (rain, windy, sunny, more rain - all the seasons); good base to get to so many other points of interest ie waterfalls, beaches, rainforest, galleries, walking trails We did so much walking, so much to see and enjoy at every turn. Feeling refreshed & relaxed after our holiday A place for everyone.

We enjoyed our one week stay everything such as Cafes, shops and beach all within walking distance near Mantra Lorne and the hotel itself has a bar, restaurant or dine within your room.

We had a great kitchenette with all amenities, such as kettle, toaster, microwave, cooktop with oven. It would of been nice to have a mixing bowl, salad bowl with easier to handle tongs, there was no salt or pepper, butter or oil provided, no baking trays, foil, gladwrap to cover food or plastic containers. Most places provide Netflix, but Mantra didn't provide we had to use our own account.
