The property is excellent in location with all the trams and local shops nearby and also the mainline train station within 5-7 minutes walk. The rooms are well sized and very affordable for what you get. The staff are excellent and all very friendly and welcoming. During my stay I had an issue with the TV as some of the services were not working and the management were very efficient in getting this sorted and relocating me to a bigger room at no extra cost as they were fully booked but still accommodated my situation to ensure I had a great stay. They have breakfast everyday with a pretty decent selection available and the option to upgrade if you wish to do so. There is also a small gym and laundry room on site, both of which are pretty good as you don’t then need to go and find these options elsewhere.

There isn’t anything bad to say from the experience I had.

This is a budget Hotel located within the Central Business District (CBD). It is a quiet location with very friendly and hospitable staff. They offer a complimentary Continental breakfast which is good enough. They don't have dinner provided at the Hotel, but there are so many eateries nearby especially Indian, Korean and Chinese eateries. The Indian Restaurants are particularly popular with African Guests. You can take a free tram to Swanston Street and buy all the souvenirs you need from Australia or Melbourne in particular and at very good prices. The most important thing is the location of the Hotel as you can easily walk from there to major Hotels around for Conferences, especially the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre which is a 10-minute walk just across the Yarra River Bridge. All in all, this was an impressive treat to a Guest.

While the continental breakfast was good, it was limiting in that if one wanted to add something like eggs or sausages to the menu, then that came with an additional cost. The cash deposit of AUS$ 100 also did not go well with most Guests me included, because you find in most cases, people have the exact amount for accommodation payment. Some have had bad experiences having their Bank Cards pre-authprosed because at check-out, the Hotels don't usually refund the deposit. So the best option was the cash payment, which you are given back at check-out.

We took a girls trip and we catch up rarely. Since school days. The location of Ibis was great. we walked far and caught trams back. Plenty of food options and bottle shop under 50mtrs away. Lovely old balcony to sit on and people watch. Train station and Marvel stadium super close and we just happened to have tickets to see Pearl Jam while we were there 🥰 if I could book the weekend again, i would book with Ibis. Really enjoyable. The room was good for tee 2 of us for a short stay

I drink allot of coffee so like anywhere, there is never enough milk. Tge convenience stores weren't far tho so I just brought a 500ml bottle to get thru. The complimentary milk is enough for 2 coffee drinkers. It's just that I am 2 coffee drinkers haha. I don't think they'd be unhappy if that's my only fault :)

I like that the hotel is near Southern Cross Station, which has Coles supermarket many other shops. It's very convenient to move around, too. I bought myki card from the station to go to St Kilda. Beautiful beach. From the hotel, I can walk to many tourist attractions on foot. I'm also spoiled for choices when it comes to food. Unfortunately, room #327 had ants in the toilet on my 3rd night. There were too many ants in the toilet. The staff on duty immediately gave me another room, which was bigger. I really appreciate the gesture by the staff. I'm also glad that there is a smoking area for the guests. The staffs in the cafe were friendly and polite. The same goes for the housekeeping staff.

Perfect location, easy to find, close to the train station and other necessities (shops/chemist/bottlo/7/11). The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was lovely, and despite it being in an older building i thought it had a charm to it. For a short trip on a budget by myself I couldn’t have asked for anything more, enjoyed my stay.

The room was on the smaller side however I personally did not have an issue with it as I was out and about for most my stay but I can understand that others might find it uncomfortable if there’s more then 2 guests. On the lower levels it can get quite nosy being close to the street but other then that I had a great experience.

Location is nice! Just 5-10 min walk from the Southern Cross Station. You can take the sky bus to the city centre from Avalon Airport. But you have to be careful because buses don’t go there from 8:50–12:30! So if you have a flight anytime from 11:00–14:00, then better book a cab instead to not miss your flight. I especially liked the heater light in the washroom that’s quite convenient to warm up your body after you wake up in the morning because Melbourne is cold in the morning! Front desk was nice to only hold a deposit of 50AUD! Thank you guys! Balcony on the 5th floor was pretty nice to stay at & gym is easy to use too though it’s quite small as well.

Worst part was my wifi on my computer laptop…I couldn’t get stable connection for the 2 days I stayed there(( I was very disappointed with that because I wanted to watch my music lesson videos via computer instead of my mobile phone. Then since it’s Ibis style, this means your room is very small especially the table. Then washroom too. However it’s worth the value I paid for so I wouldn’t complain on that. & since they are doing construction refurbishment on the 3rd floor, there’s dust particles all over the stairs & rails. So that’s not very attractive for guests walking by but what can we do?)

This hotel was super clean, one of the cleanest we have stayed in over the world. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. Breakfast was great, a lovely selection of continental and you could pay more for cooked. Rooms had everything you needed, and the beds were very comfortable. The location was amazing, just a 3 min short walk to the station and free trams The hotel was so quiet, no road noise, no construction noise. We have already booked for September when we're back

I have been to this hotel many times and I always have great things to say about this place. The place has great staff, great rooms, and definitely great value for money even if you book last minute. It is in a great location close to the SkyBus terminal, trams, and trains. It is also close to Marvel Stadium and is in the City.

As I have said in the past, the only problems with this place are a few minor details. One of them is the rooms are dirty in the sense there are scuff marks everywhere (old place? definitely not dirty in the sense of dirt or mold.

I stay at this hotel often when I travel to Melbourne. It is great value for money, nice rooms, good internet, excellent location, and you can often get good prices even if you book last minute. It is quiet and has good 24 hour reception.

There isn't much to say for this section, only little things that could be improved. I am unable to connect my phone/laptop to the TVs. Internet can be slow. The rooms are a bit dirty in the sense that they are old and have marks that would be hard to clean off (no actual dirt or mold or anything bad).

This hotel was great. My room was very clean and had everything that I needed. It was in a great location from the bus station, and I simply walked around the corner to catch the tram. The breakfast was terrific and they went out of their way to make sure that I had what I needed. The staff were very helpful and I found that the entire team went out of their way to make sure that I had what I needed. They even stored my luggage for me on my last day. It was terrific being about to do laundry there too. I found that the hotel was certainly worth the price paid and I would stay there again.

When I first walked in the door I thought, oh my, I hope this place is ok. I think it is undergoing some renovations. I really cannot complain . I was very happy here.
