This was our third stay - an old motel where the rooms have been done up really nicely, lots of space (and cupboards) lovely kitchenette (with a full sized fridge, induction hotplate, oven & microwave!) and renovated bathroom. Nice safe space outside for our dog, and/or for us to eat or just sit. Walk to town, the river, the next town. Friendly locals. If we had brought our bikes the rail trail is just outside. Wonderful wineries (and whisky & chocolate!) in the area. Coded door pad on the door meant no check in process, no need to carry a key. I know we will be back again.

A suggestion for improvement would be to have larger numbers of the doors so that late night arrivals can find their room without trying all doors - but really apart from that there is nothing to dislike.

The rooms have been renovated nicely. Great that a coffee pod machine, pods and milk were supplied. Towels felt nice and new. The split system heating really warned up the room. The host Anne was very easy to deal with. I would stay again. Could even bring kids as the unit we were in also had a bunk bed.

The look of the outside area, especially the back, could be improved. The concrete floors were quite cold for winter. Need to bring slippers or keep socks/shoes on.

Very pleasantly surprised at the rooms. Travelling interstate we were in need of an overnight motel during the Easter holiday period and this was one of the few that hadn't changed to a min 3 night stay. Thankyou for that! The owners have done a great job in renovating the rooms and have included many niceties that are appreciated when travelling. At the price point it is super value.

A very minor point is the lack of curbside appeal of the motel (Looks like you have started to address this) and also improving the access paths to the rooms from the carpark would be be good.

We had a family room and the bunk bed took the space where a couch would normally be so it was sit on the bed or the not so comfy dining chairs. However we weren't' there to sit on the couch and watch TV.

This accommodation is just so lovely. Super cleverly renovated, completely pet friendly and has everything you need. The new fit out inside the rooms is really chic for a regional motel and thoughtful with everything you need for a really comfy stay. The coffee pods and nespresso machine are a fab touch. The courtyards out the back of the rooms are so great and it's located in a really lovely part of the world; that is great for a walk with the dog with a huge oval across the road. The team here are so lovely - on call for anything you need but allow you to be completely private and run your own schedule without ever seeing them. Really loved this place, and we will be back!

The only misleading element is the old exterior signage - it really doesn't represent how great the accom is, inside. But that's also probably such a lovely surprise for so many people who are lucky enough to stay here.

Would definitely stay again. Great place. Very clean and neat and lovely products in bathroom. Air con worked really well and good to have a fan as well. Shower very nice. Nice back yard area for dog. Great that there are no shared areas. Great touches like milk in fridge, coffee pods provided.

There really wasn't much we didn't like. If I had to give constructive feedback I'd say it's not important but the bedspread is a bit old fashioned, it would be great to have a plain bed spread. The bathroom sliding door didn't close completely in unit 7. There was no sheet for a person sleeping on the sleeper couch.

Great motel with renovated rooms. A full kitchen so could easily self cater if staying for a couple of nights. A Nespresso with pods is a lovely touch. Comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Quiet area and easy walk to pub for dinner Also the rail trail is just down the road so you can cycle to Rutherglen and wineries.

Nothing. The old sign could be off putting, but such a great surprise when i walk into the room that I realised I shouldn’t judge a book by it cover.
