The hotel is in an excellent location being ten minutes from the Old Town on the other side of the river via the footbridge and yet in the centre of things. It is situated on very busy streets by a major bus/trolly bus stop. Check in was a bit long-winded but the reception team were super friendly and later turned out to be mega helpful. Our bedroom was generously sized with a huge shower room - modern and expensively fitted out. Although we were on the second floor facing the main street the room was quiet with air conditioning. The buffet style Breakfast was excellent with just about anything you could want from smoked salmon and trout to Bavarian sausages as well as eggs, bacon,ham, cheese, salamis, fruit, different types of yogurts, fruit juices including tomato juice and delicious fresh baked bread. If the buffet was not for you there was also omelettes and any type of eggs cooked to order. The reception team, and Julia in particular made the stay. They managed to get us a table at the Sky Bar to eat at 7:30 - we asked at 4:40 - a friend we met the next day said he had tried to book many times without success. Due to the terrible weather during our stay they were really helpful with suggestions.

Not quite enough light to read with on the bed - we always had to have the main chandelier lit to read. There is just a tiny lounge next to reception, no bar and no dinner restaurant although as said they will direct you to other Imlaur establishments nearby.

The service at Hotel am Mirabellplatz is amazing. Staff was very responsive to each question I raised before arrival via Booking.com. When I arrived they gave a lot of amazing tips on how to plan my walk to city, how to go to Hellbrunn palace, Hallstatt and many other tips. I used their breakfast last day but if I knew that they had amazing selection of cheese, eggs, omelette upon request, fresh juices and champagne (yes there was an open bottle to pour a glass for yourself) i would ear every day. Overall, I had a good time , location was superb to explore city, go to airport, Hallstatt, central station. Highly recommend it

N/A room furniture is a bit outdated but it wasn’t a problem

Location was excellent- just a 15 min walk from train station and a block away from the Mirabelle Gardens, and very short walk to bridge and Altstadt. Our first room was very big, huge bathroom w/tub, comfortable bed but we had an issue with a leaky air conditioner. Since May 1 was a holiday and no one available to fix the unit, we were moved to a similar room with smaller bathroom but a great shower. Staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful in resolving issue. No breakfast included but there was a place across the street with coffee and rolls, though not as good as bakeries closer towards Altstadt. There were several great restaurants within a few blocks. Pitterkeller was excellent as well Wirtshaus Zwettlers across the river.

Nothing. I would recommend this place and stay again.

Great location within walking distance of the old town and opposite the park which was used for a scene in the Sound of Music, if you’re a fan of the movie. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even organising a tour to Eagles Nest for us (must see location by the way), the room was spacious with a comfy bed and good water pressure in the shower. There is some street noise but this wasn’t really an issue as we had our windows open through the night. We would happily stay here again if ever we were to have the pleasure of visiting Salzburg in the future. Easy 10-15min walk from the train station.

I like everything a out the hotel. One of the best hotels I have stayed. From Reception Julia & I can't remember the name of the other girl. They were extremely helpful. And Sema at the restaurant, when we come for breakfast she will always welcome with a good morning wish and a broad smile. We will miss them all. But will surely stay at this hotel whenever we come to Salzburg. Thank you everyone.

The location (minutes from Mirabelle Gardens, Shops and train stations, tour departures, restaurants, supermarkets) and the incredible staff are what makes this hotel. Reception staff were among the best we have experienced. Special mention of “Sema” the hostess at breakfast – she was outstanding and although we did not initially purchase breakfast included, having attended breakfast on one day – decided to return as Sema was so welcoming and friendly and of course the breakfast was excellent – especially the Smoked Trout!

Staff at front desk and staff at breakfast were amazing and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Spacious room. Use of free umbrellas when going out in rain. This is a lovely hotel and we would stay here again. Location is very good.

No face washer in bathroom. If you are only offering liquid soap (as opposed to solid bar of soap), then I need a face washer to shower myself. No tv channels in English. Eg CNN or BBC. A smart tv would have allowed us to sign in to our personal Netflix account or Foxtel, or use Youtube etc

The hotel is close to the picturesque Mirabell Place and Gardens, close enough to walk to the Old Town, and very convenient to tram and bus routes. Staff were very helpful and helped us find nearby restaurants, helped with local tourist attractions while the facilities were clean and fresh.

No major downsides; We didn't try the hotel breakfast as we don't eat a large breakfast and could not justify the Euro 22 cost per person. Instead we had a quick, cheaper and convenient coffee and pastry at the BackWerk bakery directly opposite the hotel.

Location- We found the hotel incredibly easy to locate using public transportation. We came via train from Munich and took a bus from the train station to the hotel. The location cannot be beat. Everything we wanted to do as far as tours meet at Mirabellplatz which is literally across the street from the hotel. Around the corner you can find sushi, burgers, and cafes. A block down you can find a small grocery store. If you walk a different direction you will find a store you can grab toiletries. Rooms- Our room was lovely with beautiful views! We were on the fifth floor and found it very peaceful. We opened the windows a few times for fresh air and to listen to the bustling city below, but once the windows are closed, we could hear very little from outside. The room is equipped with heat and air. Breakfast- Absolutely buy the breakfast. Many options to pick from, and like everyone else we met, the staff was friendly. Staff- I don’t understand how anyone could say anything other than positive things about the staff. Every single time we left or came back we were greeted warmly! Our first night here it was cold and rainy. We were tired and hungry and didn’t feel like walking anywhere. The staff helped us with information on a meal delivery app (Liefernando which is like Uber eats) where we ordered some Italian food for delivery. They answered all of our questions without seeming bothered. I wanted to stay two more nights and they made it seamless. Like I mentioned, every time we left and a came back we were greeted. This made us feel very welcomed. If no one was sitting at the desk (late at night) then they came out of the office to welcome us back. The “kids” at the front desk were very professional, kind, knowledgeable, and made the stay that much better.

There’s nothing not to like about this hotel.

Location was great, with easy access to all the local attractions. The staff was AMAZING!! Lisa especially was very helpful with making reservations and bookings for tours, concerts, restaurant reservations, etc. In general, the entire staff at the front desk was outstanding!

The person working at the coffee shop connected to the hotel was rude and a disappointment to the otherwise excellent stay.
