I have stayed in many, many 5 star hotels and resorts and I have never stayed anywhere as nice as this hotel. It wasn't the biggest or the most lugsurious room but it was bright and airy and immaculately clean and featured amazing views. Best of all, it actually HAD the soundproofing it promised. I am an INCREDIBLY light sleeper and I always just assume I'm going to have interrupted rest regardless of claims. I never heard either road noise, or people noise or next door noise or cleaning noise or any noise at all. It was heavenly. They had a spa for private booking and it was utterly immaculate and free of charge for guests. They asked only that you book ahead of time. The service was superlative! One of the gentlemen at the desk in the evenings was the quintescential old school hotelier. Totally accomodating, calm and knowledgable about the area. You could access the bar and get drinks all day or night- whoever was on desk duty also doubled as barkeep and could make whatever drinks you wanted any time you wanted. Little things like the coffee maker being refilled with water every day and the fact they still leave little treats for turndown service were great touches. The staff would clean your room regardlessof when you left during the day with no problem. We were a pleasant 10 minutes walk from 90% of what we wanted to see in Vienna. I loved this place and would go back in heartbeat.
There was nothing I actually disliked, but if I was going to be super duper picky, I'd say their breakfast miiiiight not be worth the 24 euro price, though all elements of it were delicious. Also, their choice of included toiletries wasn't to my taste, though that's obviously a subjective thought. They were high quality. My husband is 6'3" and the shower head wasn't quite tall enough to accomodate without stooping. But again, picking nits here in an effort to give a balanced review.

The exceptional friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. They always met our requests attentively and promptly, 24 hours around the clock. They helped organize airport shuttles, gave insider advice on good restaurants and places to go, and always seemed to know good things and also not so good things to avoid. The location is also excellent, short walks to the Spanish Riding School, downtown shopping area near there, the Hofburg Palace were all places I walked to.
I personally don't like a subtle detail of the main switch to the room design. The overhead light around the top of the curtains cannot be turned off separately. Also, as an experienced world traveller I am used to having a small desk or table and chair to use my computer on. I ultimately brought my balcony table and chair inside to use during my stay.

It's SUCH a beautiful hotel. The staff are the absolute best. I chose it because it's so close to the Secession museum (which I was delighted to see a translucent image of, on the bathroom wall!). I look forward to going back for a 3rd stay! :D
The shower is very slippery. I am handicap, and there is nothing to hold on to.

This boutique hotel was recently gut renovated and has the most beautiful high end finishes. The furniture, colors, window treatments chandeliers are absolutely stunning, there is original artwork everywhere, there are beautiful pieces of art even in the window sills. The place looks like a museum and the guests are treated as “ Kings and Queens”. The bathroom is beautiful spacious with heated porcelain tile floor, heated towel rack , shower with high end products to use, mirrors everywhere Dyson brand hairdryer. There was no money saved on this renovation. This beautiful gem is located in the center of the Vienna, in the famous shopping area, 10 min walking to the Opera , 5-10 min to the museum quarter, all the best restaurants and cafes right at your footsteps. There is gorgeous spa with a steam room and sauna that’s available to all the guests for a relaxed evening after strolling around in the city. The staff is wonderful , and I even had a chance to meet the owner who herself is a lovely person and she explained how the hotel was built with passion and love for the enjoyment of her guests.
All perfect 10 stars!!!

From the moment you arrive the staff are so helpful and friendly. The room was lovely with a sofa and table so we could have a glass of wine and relax after a day of walking. Bathroom was very fancy and had heated flooring! We used the spa on the last day and yes it's small but it's private and ideal to just relax Location is 5 minutes from the museums, right next to the shops and 5 minutes from a bus stop and Spar. Was perfect! The hotel exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend. We had 1 breakfast in the hotel which was lovely but ended up buying bits from Spar which were cheaper
Only faults which we found but only tiny: Bathroom did get very warm and we couldn't work out how to adjust the temperature Pillows are very soft. I had 3 by the end of the trip and still struggled with them

The location of the hotel is quite perfect, not too close from the inner city but still so central , in a quiet pedestrian street. The space is in the room, everything is pristine clean. The bed is really comfy, the boutique style is nice and feels luxurious. The private spa (free) is really comfortable, you have a massive aquarium with exotic fish, a steam room, a hammam, a huge shower and 2 beds. Breakfast is great value and until 11.30am The staff is really helpful and very welcoming The free mini bar, the housekeeping done even late in the day. The price value for a capital city like Vienna
There is no parking and it costs €25/day in the museum quarters. The toilet paper holder isn't located in a great place The toiletries could be upgraded to something more fancy. The option to get a single large duvet should be given

Location was fairly good, close to some museums, but was not close to the core of the “inner city”. We had to use taxis to get around. They can be expensive- about $17-$20 from the hotel. Public transportation was confusing especially if you were taking buses. The underground was not that close to the hotel. However, the hotel was quiet and relaxing.
As mentioned above the transportation could have been better. Also, the rooms, while being excellently furnished were a bit on the small side.

I can’t rate this highly enough. Central location, and a very modern & luxurious hotel at an excellent price. Spacious room. If one wants to get up in the night, rather than turning on a light, a motion sensor soft blue glow comes on in the bathroom. It also switches itself off automatically. Equally a curtain can be drawn if ones prefers not to use this feature. Subtle touches but it makes all the difference. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Wonderful stay - thank you!
There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about the property.

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Very quiet at night. I am a very light sleeper and normally use earplugs when I stay at hotels. Here I didn’t need them at all throughout the whole stay. Comfortable beds and nice bedding. Good sized bathroom with walk-in shower and good water pressure. Good location: right on the main shopping street, 10-15 min walk to Innerstadt and all key attractions. Attentive and very friendly staff.
Can’t think of anything. Big thanks to the Hotel Das Tyrol team for making my birthday trip so comfortable!
