We are 2 friends and we stayed in family room with queen size bed and a bunkbed so the room was spacious for us and we have attached bathroom. We stayed for 5 days and the room was being cleaned everyday. It is quiet, even in the common area. They had a balcony where you can have a good view for photos. At night, after the tours we used to go to nizami st which is very near, location wise it is superb. Everything is there. During arrival, we went earlier than the check in time but we are able to put our luggages in the storage room and use the washroom to freshen up before the tours. I paid by card. Rest is all great.

We got stuck in the elevator going down for like 5 minutes. So be careful. lol

I would say the hostel's location is very ideal, as it is very close to the most famous spots in Baku city. The neighborhood has a very European-style architecture and parks nearby, making it a very clean city. The rooms are very clean, and I would highly recommend it for someone traveling solo and preferring to stay in a hostel. I would say this hostel is the best in Baku.

Nothing much to say. Overall, I had an amazing experience. They might have mentioned the charger holder details, as the one I carried didn't suit. So, I don't know whether I should have asked earlier or maybe from the hostel side to mention these details in the information? I think they need to check the washroom hair dryer, as I forgot to mention that it was not working. I was totally in a rush moving around, and I forgot to mention that they need to check and fix that.

Location is great, everything is within walking distance and for the more remote location you can use the metro station that is very close. The price per night also very attractive. Beds are comfy and room do not feel packed. Easy to find as there is a big panel over the door visible on the street. Staff was very helpful and welcoming.

- Seems that there are a lot of long term guests staying there which tend to forget the idea of a dorm... Switching lights on at midnight, constantly using the balcony and leaving the door wide open. Talking on the phone or together at late hours... ==> Would be wise to put them all in the same dorm and keep rooms and dorms for travellers. - Bathroom should be used early or right after the cleaning lady otherwise they will be not very clean by the end of the day. - Locker allocated did not close (I was fine with that but just for information)

1. Friendly and Cooperative Staff as well as Boss Lady 'Lala'. They will help by going above and beyond. Made best friends for life Asim, Angelina and Rasul. Will definitely miss them when gone. 2. Free to use amenities like Wifi, Washing Machine, Dryer Machine, Blow Dryer, Iron. 3. Prime Location i.e. Almost everything is in walking distance like Nizami Street, Sahil, Carpet Museum, Deniz Mall etc. 4. Quite affordable to live in a good environment. 5. Great chances of interactions and networking with all sort of nationalities and like minded people. 6. Lift service is available. 7. Clean and Cozy rooms. 8. Hygienic Kitchen area with a wonderful sitting arrangement. Cooked a lot of yummy meals without any problem. 9. Dedicated workspace in the lobby area, kitchen area too if not crowded. 10. Brilliant heating system so don't worry about being cold at all despite the cold wind outside. 11. Metro station is right behind the Hostel so no need to walk a lot if you want to travel locally. 12. Bus stop is also right outside the entrance of Hostel to the left. 13. Kapital bank right below the hostel but only operable in working hours including ATM. 14. Supermarkets one traffic signal away in case you want to buy anything. Bravo is open till 0300 in the morning with Kapital Bank ATM right next to it while Star Market right opposite to it is 24 hours. 15. Amazing view of Flame Towers from the balcony. Both day/night view, sunset and sunrise look marvelous! Loved Baku and Hostel so much that I have came back to stay here for another month. If you are looking for affordable, cozy and long-term stay, look no more!

Didn't had any such bad experience so far. Regardless that the toilets are clean but since people come from all around the world so sometimes you have to compromise on that. However, hostel is very clean and hygienic even the kitchen area. Had a tiny teeny trouble with the bed bugs but the hostel was thoroughly cleaned about 4 times and now there is no sign of any such thing anywhere. People can be very loud in the lobby and kitchen usually in the evenings which is a pain.

Staying at Sahel Hostel Baku was an unforgettable experience! The hostel is clean, cozy, and the staff are incredibly welcoming, making it feel like home. The continuous smell of chicken masala and untidiness of the guests. Along with bad use of the toilets from the guests despite the hostels tries to clean it more than two times a day

I think that one was my favorite hostel I have stayed. I picked the female room with 6 women. Beds are comfortable and have 2 charge cavities. Location is great, in the center of the city. There is an evaluator, press 2nd floor -> It means 4th floor :) Kitchen is available, you can take hot water and glass for free. Shared living room was so nice, you can communicate with people from around the world. Especially I highly recommend you to see balcony. The view was amazing, you can not find that kind of view anywhere in this price

Most of time their lift is not working and you need to use stairs to reach at 3rd floor with all luggage which is major pain. Secondly they are claiming they are accepting card but when you ask them they usually say we are facing some issue with bank and as of now we cannot accept card so please pay in cash but that’s not the case at the end when you strictly say I don’t have cash then they will allow you to pay with card.
