Not easy to find mid range accommodation in Barbados, this place was a treat. Very helpful and friendly staff,especially at front desk. Room was more modern and comfortable than expected. Good Wi-Fi, good shower, comfortable bed. Small pool area and seating at rear of property, nicely done. Very close to amenities and bars,restaurants. Short walk to choice of beach areas.

None, this place exceeded my expectations

The staff was exceptional. The reception desk provided great hospitality service. Davone is truly an asset to the inn. Interacted with Kelly Ann and one who did housekeeping in college she was very professional. The other ladies at the desk were all welcoming and pleasant. Would definitely refer my friends vacationing in Barbados to the inn.

The property was perfect. What you see in the pics is what you get and much more. Myself and my sister were extremely impressed with the comfort of the room, kitchen facilities within the room, high levels of cleanliness, excellent location. Furthermore, what really makes The Melbourne Inn a home from home is its staff who went above and beyond in helping both of us at all times, and did wonderfully with a reassuring smile , but also professionally. All the staff were brilliant and we still remember some of the names of the staff who attended to us. A big thank you to, Vicky, Louise, Beth, Devone, Jelisa, and Chanel (The Manager). I look forward to staying again in your lovely property. Raul and Aida.

We liked everything.

The reception staff were very friendly and amazing, and so was the location. Would recommend for people looking for good value accomodation in a good location. Easily accessibility to various beaches (go visit them all - dover beach, turtle beach and maxwell beach) and local bars and restaurants. WiFi was reasonable, however I didn't have to take calls, so i'm not sure how that would have went; however, sufficient enough to stream.

Calm and quiet with no noisy sportsbars or restaurant nearby the hotel.Dover beach was our favurite of choice,just 5 minutes walk from Melbourne Inn with the superclean beach as well as the water.Perfect to walk or excercise along. Temperature was perfect +25-29 and almost no high humidity and always a breeze. Helpful staff that provided us with a cooker top in order to make light meals of our own."Massy" stores bigger foodmarkets are recomended for purchases of food where you will save up to 50-100% compare to the smaller ones

Well,outrageous prices on most food be aware of that.As a vegetarian you will have almost no options if you go to a restuarant.You can easily spend a 100 euro 2 persons a day just by eating out lunch and dinner without any drinks or beers.Everyone has to make a living i understand but i have no interest in spending these kind of money per day

Neutral fragrance air freshners in the room would improve crispness of the room and enhance the ambience. Also I thought the front of the building could have been cleaned up a bit more. Looks like something spilled on the ground which was not thoroughly cleaned. But these are very minor. I still think facilities were great.

This is a 3 star property and is value for money. If you want 4 or 5 star then you will pay much more for it. We had everything that we needed in the hotel room, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, and a huge comfy bed. There is air con and ceiling fan, and a balcony. The rooms were cleaned every other day but if you asked for clean towels they were available. In fact, if you asked for anything, the staff were really helpful and polite and did not disappoint. There is a brand new beautiful pool area, which we used daily, after the beach, and most of the time, we were the only people in it. Five minute safe walk to beach and bars.

There was an issue with the hot water which sometimes meant that we had to take a Luke warm shower, but who needs piping hot water in Barbados. Not a problem to us, just being honest.

No early check in or late check out, not flexible at all. For that price u can get a studio on Pebbles Beach, which we had to swap hotels cause it was full. Location is good, walking distance to restaurants, but everywhere were overpriced. Beach there is ok but full of umbrellas. Preferred Pebbles/Brownies over Dover Beach.

It is close to the gap, staff very helpful and friendly, clean, bed was comfy, air conditioning was excellent for people who arnt used to the hot weather.

I think the property could do with offering breakfast as sometimes it is hard to find somewhere suitable for breakfast.

For our short 2 night stay (Pre-Cruise) the accomodation provided all we needed with the added benefit of a pool. We like the presence of the TV, Fridge, microwave and kettle. Also the comfortable 2 large beds. It was a nice bathroom with a lovely shower. It was well located, a short walk to Dover Beach and some local reataurants and takeaways. We thought it represented good value for money. The staff were pleasant. We liked having a balcony terrace. We liked the mosquito screens on the windows.

The small hotel is a little dated and tired looking. The immediate surrounding area isn't visually appealing but they probably cannot do much about that. The balcony view was not great. It would be nice if some nice plants even pot plants could be seen! We were in room 3. There was a large unattractive advertisement for car hire behind reception which is out of date as they no longer hire cars. It could be replaced with a nice print of Dover Beach! Room 3 is a little dark but otherwise functional but perhaps could be updated with more modern furniture although some people might like it's slightly quirky feel!
