Lovely little hotel, very clean room and bathroom, the shower was great - lots of hot water! The kitchenette was perfect for making our own breakfast and having drinks in the fridge. The personnel were very nice and helpful, especially when the a/c in one of our rooms broke down. The hotel is perfectly located in St Lawrence Gap, surrounded by bars/restaurants, and a perfect spot to stay at and a good starting point if you want to explore more of Barbados. We tried the restaurant a couple of times and had some delicious meals. The whole stay exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

Unfortunately there is no beach, but the pool area is really nice overlooking the sea. If you´re lucky, you can get a chair/lounger but noticed that most had been reserved by people putting their towels on the loungers as early as 6:00 am every day, which is pretty pathetic.

Everything. View from your balcony is worth booking for on it's own as was being able to watch the sunset from the pool deck during happy hour at the bar. Rooms are clean and modern with housekeeping providing a daily service. The kitchenette was nice to have so you could have breakfast or dinner in your room and also to keep your beers cold. All the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as 2 fantastic beaches. If you don't fancy getting sand on your feet then the pool and loungers are great for spending a lazy day at the hotel. Fantastic hotel and we would definitely return.

Bars opposite the hotel are lively so you can hear the music and karaoke in your room. Something to be aware of if you're looking to have an early night but it didn't disturb our sleep.

I loved my stay at the South Gap Hotel. It exceeded by expectations. Staff in the restaurant and bar were amazing as were the cleaning team and the porter on the door. Room was great, really cosy and quiet and had everything I needed. I was there as a single traveller and felt really comfortable. If I get the chance to go to Barbados again, I will definitely be back. Thanks to all the team.

The reception team varied quite a bit, some were extremely helpful (lady with cool glasses on) and others acted like you were an inconvenience.

the view was amazing from my room , the staff was friendly and courteous. The surroundings were always clean. The cleanness of the room are always on point. I would recommend this hotel . The menu has a variety of choices.

Hmm there is not much to dislike.

Excellent location, ample parking space, all rooms have breathtaking views of the ocean. The hotel has its own restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We particularly liked the fact that it also offers healthy options on the menu. All staff members are friendly, nice, and welcoming. We would definitely come back next time we visit Barbados.

The only downside, and basically the only reason we didn’t give the property a 10/10, is the fact that it's opposite a karaoke bar that can be very loud until late at night, especially on weekends. We could still sleep, but it would be ideal if the rooms were better insulated.

The location of the hotel was excellent. In walking distance of a wonderful beach (Dover), and of numerous very good restaurants (Tabu and Primo were our favourite). The hotel has a lovely pool, overlooking the waves. Each room has a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was excellent!! Bar staff was extremely friendly and funny. The cleaning crew did an amazing job. The airco in the room was silent and 'clean'. And the shower was much better than I had expected - hot and strong water pressure:)

the beds were a bit hard - but that may just be personal preference. Breakfast and snacks were excellent, but dinner could have been better.

Lovely location, convenient for Apollo Bay and as a base to explore the Otways ( lovely hiking, cool Koalas and I also recommend wildlife wonders which is 5 mins up the road and a really nice modern, professional sanctuary). I had a sea view, this is across the road so you don't get the most direct view however this seems the same for all properties and keeps the beach front unspoilt. This was a nice touch and great to see the ocean first thing. Room was comfy, clean and no hesitation in saying highly recommended. Sorry the picture of property is not the most exciting but the only one I had :)

I think the hotel was great. Be aware the food choices in the town are pretty limited after 8pm, but sure you can find something.

The staff was my favorite part of this resort. We travelled to Barbados for my wife’s birthday. The staff went out of their way to ensure that the occasion was memorable. Rose was exceptional, she maintained communication with me before I got to the property. The team was overall excellent!!!!

Only 2 issues for me: 1. We reported an issue with the iron in our room but it was never attended to, it may have been as simple as a miscommunication. 2. I requested lunch at the table outside our room for my wife’s birthday. The table was not set for a birthday celebration.

-excellent location. -right on the water. the sea view is unbeatable. -well maintained and eye pleasing interior of common areas -very close to the variety of bars and restaurants. -compact yet functional rooms (kitchen supplies) and property (pool, bar, restaurant, hospitality suite) -awesome caring staff. in house restaurant is surprisingly good. -wifi and ac worked well.

-pillows are uncomfortable. -no duvet cover, only sheets for blankets, thus blanket slides off the sheet -room cleanness needs to be improved

Our junior suite fed onto the deck with the pool and overlooking the ocean. It was very convenient to have everything at our doorstep. Although it was fully booked there were always enough sunbeds, chairs, tables etc . It was also very quiet and relaxing. The food at the restaurant was decent and reasonably priced. Perfect location and lots of restaurants nearby. Beach with facilities is a 10 min walk. There is a beach 2 mins walk from the hotel but it is small and there are no facilities there. It is good for a quick dip. The hotel was as advertised

The restaurant had no ambiance. The bajan bakes for breakfast was one of the most unpalatable things that I have ever attempted to eat The couch in the room is a fold out bed and very uncomfortable ( as a couch). You have to pay a "deposit" for pool towels ( $35 BDS each). On checking out we were told that the money would be returned to our credit card 7 days after check out. This is ridiculous. I returned the towels on check out so why can't I get my money back then? Since lockdown I have noticed a trend with hotels - deposits for different things and the money is not returned to your credit card until days/ weeks after you check out. Why? It means that when you return from vacation you have to be vigilant and check to make sure that the money is returned to your credit card.
