A) My room was on the street side, which was SUPER bustling. B) Room size for 4 beds was cramped. C) It was in a neighborhood with a lot of homeless and immigrants D) Price for such accommodation should be cheaper E) The trash bin was overly small, so it got full immediately

I recently stayed at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel with a group of 5 friends for 2 nights. The private room we had was small, but it was nicely organized and clean. The bathroom seemed new and well-maintained. The hostel provided all the necessary amenities, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring the city center, though the area around the hostel required some caution, especially late at night. On the upside, the hostel was well-connected with public transport, making it easy to get around the city.
Unfortunately, the WiFi in the rooms at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel was not reliable, although it worked well in the main area. Safety was a concern at night when returning from the city center, as there were attempts of pickpocketing on our group. Moreover, the limited selection of nearby restaurants was disappointing, as we had to walk at least 10 minutes to reach the city center for better dining options.

The price was very good for four persons in the room, only €28 almost in the heart of Brussels. The zuid midi station is very near 15 minutes walking max and this station is important for traveling to other cities as Gent, Bruges or Antwerp or Amsterdam. Very hot water 24hrs. It is quiet during night. There is elevator for all the floors and the check in is till late midnight and beyond till 00:30. There is reception 24 hrs and you can keep your luggage 🧳 for free.
It could more clean. The garden needs cleaning.

Loved how friendly the staff were, and just the hostel building itself. Was welcoming and the room was nice.
The street that the hostel is on is pretty rough particularly at night time. I had a phone stolen and my roommate had his watch stolen. Not the hostels fault obviously but something to be wary of when booking. Also the WiFi was perfectly fine when on the ground floor but didn't work well at all from my room.

The location is excelent. Close to some tourist places, restaurants and the metro. If you need save your bags, the provide you one safe space for that.
I think the room was a bit dark.

Incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable staff on arrival, nearby local supermarkets which caters to Brazilian/Latin American produce, to plenty Carrefour Branches both within the two train stations: Midi Zuid and Gare Centrale, fresh fruit and grocery store, plenty of Mediterranean bakeries/cuisines; convenience stores. There are numerous coaches via the coach stops nearby train stations take you to both airports in Brussels City, which is a godsend and affordable especially with a return ticket purchased from the airport on the arrival day. Plenty to view and do, just need to do extend your stay in the city :) p.s. hostel has a seating area to relax, and the vending machines with other facilities available on request From Sara
Nothing there were no issues, everything was splendid

Beds clean and comfy. Tea and coffee facilities available. Bathroom clean and easy to use. 24 hour check-in was a great help as we didn't get to the hostel until 11pm.
Room was quite warm when we arrived but opening the window fixed that quite quickly. Like a lot of hostels there's no AC in the room so be advised if you prefer a cooler room to sleep in to bear this in mind. Also, nothing the hostel can do about this but the construction going on at the moment for the new metro system makes it quite awkward to walk from Brussels Midi/Zuid station, taxi may be advisable on safety grounds.

Towels were included. The staff was nice. The place was also nice. No bunk-beds in the "hotel" part. There was soap in the bathroom too. It's still an inexpensive hotel, with a bit of hostel feel (as it also is a hostel), which is nice. The kinda place you come to sleep and spend the day elsewhere. They have a little common area, and you can buy some stuff, like chargers, and beverages, which came in handy for us. They generally only give 1 card for 1 room. Which is not okay for us, as we went is different directions in the evening. An extra card cost 5 EUR, and we were really disappointed by that... I also mentioned that, and we got a secondary card for free. That is kinda nice, so I'll give the place a 9 instead of an 8. Not for everyone, but we had a nice time here :)
The mattresses were too soft. The room was a bit small too. You can't open the windows when you are on the bed, as you are in the way :D Apart from that, it's not a very nice neighborhood. Close to the Midi Station, which is by far the worst area of brussels. Maybe... be careful in the night. But again, I gave the place a 9... so these thing were smaller problemt

The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the city centre. I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dormitory, it was pretty small, but for the price it was alright. The bunk bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean and the duvet was pleasantly warm. The bathroom was clean, better than you would expect. I really loved the small balcony, it was refreshing to feel some fresh air in the morning.
I would appreciate some free water. I had to buy one for a euro. You have to bring your own lock, if you want to keep your belongings safe. I am not sure, if they offer free luggage room. The first thing i saw when i entered the room was a huge spider on the floor, but i killed it in a second and forgot about it.

It was an amazing Hostel. I enjoyed my time in Brussels. The staff were all amazing, especially the receptionists Manuela and Said who helped me with everything I wanted to know! Location was near the city centre and the bus station. Unfortunately there are some shady people living around the hostel but that isn't their fault and as long as you don't bother them you'll be fine. Rooms were nice, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was great! Definitely worth the price as you can't get a better deal anywhere in Brussels!
