Triple room is adequate enough for two adults and one child. The breakfast is continenal and it’s substantial enough to set you off for the day. It’s a bit out of the way from town centre but we found a lot of parking space anytime of the day. We have a five year old boy, not much for him to do but we only came back to the room after venturing out for the day to rest a little bit and have a shower before dinner. The Aircon works a treat as it is very hot during the day.

The pillow could have been better. My husband said he didn’t sleep very well because the pillow is not comfortable enough and I agree with him. It is a bit lumpy and it needs upgrading. We arrived just after 3pm and we were told at reception that there was no electricity in the room until 4:30 pm . The guy who checked us in wasn’t very welcoming, no smiles and not very pleasant at all on our visit to Ypres. He needs to sign up on a guest relation course.

The breakfast was very good. A good mix of continental and cooked food. A good selection of hot drinks as well as cereal and fruit juices. The restaurant had a limited evening menu, that said the portions were generous, well presented and well cooked. The staff were friendly and courteous, all the areas are clean, and airy. Our room had the normal things, TV, tea making facilities and a fridge. The bathroom was good and the shower was fabulous,very powerful.

The lodge is a bit tired, the towels were passed their best, on the thin side. The lodge is used by young student coach tours. Although they are accommodated in a separate wing noise was an issue on a couple of nights.

The room was very comfortable and had all the facilities needed. The breakfast room is very spacious and breakfast itself very nice. Well located hotel with plenty of parking. The food in your restaurant was superb.

Please fry proper sausages for breakfast. Frankfurters are not nice. Also, can I make a suggestion, Please replace all towels, the towels supplied were threadbare and had to be replaced daily.

After initially thinking it resembled a 'halls of residence' I was pleasantly surprised by the generous room size, amount of storage space and walk in shower. My ground floor room looked out over a garden and was very quiet. The in house bar was reasonably priced and the outside seating area with fountain was very relaxing for enjoying a local beer. Located about 20 mins walking from the Menem gate it was well situated for the able bodied to walk Ypres in a day. Breakfast was a mix of Continental Buffet and hot bacon with various eggs. Plenty of juices and tea sets you up for the day.

Initially the building and reception area resembled an institution, once past that, no complaints.

Very nice quiet location, but easily accessible by road . Absolutely immaculate inside in all areas . Every staff member helpful, polite , very welcoming. Really can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Very very impressed. The young lad at the reception and also in the restaurant was just so customer focused. I did many hotels on this trip away but Flanders Lodge Hotel was by far the best . The hotel is easy to find and has parking space. Check-in was easy, and the receptionist was helpful. The room was practical and comfortable. It had a good shower and facilities.

Breakfast was pleasant, self-service, but shut much earlier than advertised. So we missed it on our first morning, having travelled late the night before.

The young manager, and all staff, was friendly and very helpful. One of our party was recuperating from a hospital visit and the management exceptionally did some things to help us. Very much appreciated. They also sorted bike storage for eBikes

The hotel is well placed for Ypres centre if you have a bike. Not beautiful but well located for WW2 Front line and Yorkshite Trenches

I've stayed here before, good parking for a van and only 1 mile from the centre of Ieper. The rooms are comfortable and warm with good levels of cleanliness. All staff encountered were helpful. We had an evening meal on this visit [I've not done so on previous visits] it was very nice and reasonably priced. There is always a good selection for breakfast.

Although it didn't affect me personally, the 'boardwalk' between the two buildings became very slippery when iced up; I saw a few guests exit the door onto the boardwalk and slip, having to grab the handrail to prevent themselves from falling over - perhaps it would be an idea to treat the area with a non-slip coating or grip tape?

We have stayed here before. The hotel is on the edge of Ypres but the town is within walking distance or reception may arrange a taxi if required. The staff are always helpful. The food is good with a good choice for breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Good value for money.

The main car park remains unsuitable for motorbikes.

We loved the breakfast and there was lots of choice, we were able to take our dogs in with us which we really appreciated as it made it nice and easy for us to eat together.

The evening meals were very expensive. It would be nice there was more choice of reasonably priced meals especially as after a long day of travelling, its nice to stay in and eat at the hotel as we book our hotels stop overs to break up longer journeys. Here we have to go out to eat, which we can do for less than half the price of the hotel meals.
