The hotel is centrally situated in the city, right opposite the Flemish museum. Lots of restaurants around, shopping stores and easy access to everything. We were warmly welcomed, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had sufficient choice, both warm and cold.

The passage outside the room remains dark for about 15 seconds when you leave the room. Our room was on the second floor and there was two steps just in front of the room. If you do not see the steps, you could have a serious fall and get injured. I would suggest a fluorescent light being installed. This is also the case just in front of the lift. The hotel also does not have parking. There is free parking at the nearby train station, however, about ten minutes walk.

Everything about our stay was perfect. it was such a great location couldn't be better. The hotel was very quick to reply to our enquiry about where to park and this was reasonbly easy to find. The room had everything you could need and the bed was huge and very comfortable and we had the most fantastic view over the square but was very quiet. The breakfast was also great loads of choice, has absolutely everything you could want. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to go again.

Fabulous location opposite the Cloth Hall which houses the ‘In Flanders Field Museum’. 5 mins walk from the Menin Gate. Lots of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The rooms were new as were the bathrooms. Nice powerful shower. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Good sized fridge, safe, air conditioning. Lovely breakfast with good selection of both cooked and continental food. Good choice of hot drinks and delicious hot chocolate. Nice view over to the Cloth Hall if you have a front facing room. My parents had a suite (photos below) so great view and large room. Would recommend and would stay again. No lobby as such so added the view from my parents window in that photo slot.

Nothing really. We were a party of 6 so had a variety of rooms. Our room was quite small and wasn’t a budget room but it was functional and we weren’t in it much anyway. Maybe just be aware of room type you’re booking. No wardrobe just a small hanging area but again if you are passing through transiently not really a problem.

The room was directly across from the Cloth Hall so had a fabulous view. The location couldnt be better. The breakfast was fantastic with a choice of both English and Belgium. The staff seemed a bit dour at first but they actually weren't. Great shower. Kettle and English tea in the bedroom too! Shame we only had one night! Finally - twin rooms available which is ideal when it's a lad's or lasses trip.

Nothing really. The only niggle was the autoamtic light in the room hallway which could do with a switch so that it doesnt come on every time you go to the loo! Maybe it had but I didn't find it.

The hotel is well presented, nice welcome from staff, easy check in followed by an easy passage to the room on third floor vi's the lift. Inside the room was a good size tv, coffee making facilities, clean large enough en suite and very comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast next morning was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold food. The location is excellent being right on the square with all of its cafes,bars and restaurants. Also a 5 minute walk to the Menim gate is a big plus.

Not much really. Being picky, the room we had was a little small, but for us ok for one or two nights. As with most hotels in the area, parking is an issue.

The location is perfect. Across the road from the main square, Grote Markt, and inside you will find the incredible, In Flanders Field Museum and ypres Museum. 5 minutes walk away is the stunning Menin Gate Memorial. Currently under refurbishment the site will reopen in march 2025. Back to the hotel, the staff are very attentive and friendly as they offer insight as to the local sites and the tearoom is well worth a visit for drinks and snacks. The choice at breakfast is excellent with pastries, cereals, cold meat and cheeses and a warm breakfast of eggs, bacon, beans, mushrooms and sausages I urge you to stay here if you want to be in the heart of the town and enjoy everything in the city.

1 minor thing, the toilet is separate from the shower room and the light automatically comes on as you open the toilet door. Not great if it wakes your partner

The location is unbeatable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The budget room was small but perfectly formed with everything needed. The bed was so ridiculously comfortable that I didn't want to get up. Breakfast tasty and a great selection. Can't recommend highly enough if you're staying Yrpes.

The towels were very small and don't cover a grown adult. Could have done with a mirror at the desk / dressing table area for hair and make up. This is not entirely the fault of the hotel but I was woken several times in the night by other guests letting their doors slam - a slow close mechanism on the doors might be useful!

Very comfortable hotel in superb central location facing onto the Grote Markt. Very good room (side of hotel so no great view but quiet) with excellent heating and tea & coffee making facilities. Very good hot and cold buffet breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay in a great town, close to all the key sites. Good value and highly recomended.

I always stay at this hotel when visiting Ypres. The parking for a car has to be paid or park on the outskirts. For motorbikes there are places in the main square to hide a bike! The location is perfect! There are plenty of bars and places to eat and a short walk to the Mennin Gate for the 8pm daily service. The breakfast is excellent and included in the price. Would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Ypres.

Car Parking is a consideration when visiting Ypres. Motorbikes are easy!

Excellent Junior Suite to accommodate our family of four: a large bedroom with a king-size bed and living room area, with a separate bedroom with 2 single beds for the children. Lovely view over the Cloth Hall - you can hear the bells ringing but they stopped at 10pm and didn't seem to start until after 7am. Breakfast was a decent standard: well-made scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad, pastries etc. 

Towels a little on the thin side. Toilet and shower in separate rooms
