I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bey House Royal Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo, and I am delighted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. Every aspect of my stay, from the exquisite restaurant to the rejuvenating Turkish bath and the exceptional hospitality, contributed to making it an unforgettable visit. The restaurant at Bey House Royal Hotel is a true culinary gem. The menu boasts a delightful array of dishes that cater to diverse tastes, and each meal is a masterpiece in both flavor and presentation. The chefs' commitment to quality and innovation was evident in every bite, offering a dining experience that exceeded my expectations. The Turkish bath facilities at the hotel were a highlight of my stay. Impeccably maintained and thoughtfully designed, the spa provided a tranquil oasis for relaxation. The attention to detail in creating a serene environment truly enhanced the overall sense of well-being during my time at the hotel. What truly sets Bey House Royal Hotel apart is the outstanding hospitality extended by the staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff's dedication to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was evident in every interaction, making me feel truly valued as a guest. In summary, Bey House Royal Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo offers a remarkable combination of exceptional dining, luxurious spa amenities, and unparalleled hospitality. Amazing boutique hotel, one of the best in Bulgaria.Everything in the rooms is made so you feel realy very special-bathroom facilities and fluffy towels, such a comfortable mattress with snow white bedsheets. You are surrounded by bulgarian history, beautiful paintings and antique furniture. The food in the restaurant is very impressive and tasty.I can’t say thank you enough to the amazing staff they have in the hotel. And the real jam of the hotel-the receptionist Simona, who impressed us with her kindness and attitude.Thank you all for treating us as royalties!

During my round trip around Bulgaria, I had the pleasure of staying at the Rate Bey House Royal Hotel, and it has truly set a new standard for elite hospitality. Having stayed in various five-star hotels across different cities, I was impressed by the impeccable design, cutting-edge technologies, exquisite cuisine, and the private Hammam facility. The staff was consistently available and attentive to every request, which added to the seamless experience. My utmost respect goes to the team behind this exceptional establishment.

We were originally meant to stay in the Gurko hotel for two nights, but after one terrible night there we moved to the Bey House. So glad we did. Check in was smooth, staff were all helpful and let us leave our luggage when we arrived early. We parked on the street outside the hotel, it was free because it was a public holiday. So I would suggest you ask the hotel in advance what options are available for a normal day. We had the Johanna room next door to reception which we were worried might be noisy but it was quiet in there and had a good nights sleep. The room is nicely decorated but would suggest they remove the writing table to make space for luggage. Bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower and Japanese electronic toilet. We used the Turkish baths which were nice but the member of staff hadn’t set it up correctly so we had to wait for it to get hot. Our rate included breakfast and dinner. Both meals were excellent. Lots of typical Bulgarians dishes all excellently cooked and presented. Location is excellent, central and easy to walk to local sights. If visiting the town again we would stay here again.

The smart design of the room, the atmospheric decoration, the surroundings, the garden, the restaurant and dinner, the Turkish bath etc.
The bathroom design was a hazard, with bathwater flooding the floor after showers. There was only one piece of floor cloth and no anti-slip mat. Service was a bit uneven and not consistent among different staffers. Turkish bath was only provided once and not daily. Breakfast was a bit stingy given the prices charged.

In september 2023 we stayed here one night in a room with queensize bed. The hotel has only 4 rooms and is very friendly and service oriented. We were allowed to park right in front of the hotel after someone of the staff moved her car. The room is small and has a very special atmosphere. The room has a minibar, a watercooker and a coffee machine. The airconditioning didn’t work 100%, it took several hours before the temperature went down unfortunately. The hotel has a restaurant which we only used for breakfast. Breakfast is excellent. The fortress is worth a visit and just 10 minutes walk away.
Airconditioning took a long time to reach 23-24 degrees

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! People who make this place happen know that everything is in details. The hotel has lovely patio with a small fountain. Our room was perfect, had everything we needed. Beautiful bedroom with large super comfortable bed, big windows, curtains and climate smart control. Separate living room with skylight and sofa, TV and coffee machine, complimentary wine, water and snacks. The bathroom is superior! Big bath tub situated near the window, smart pampering shower, dimmable lighting and japanese toilet. Grohe accessories and everything that's needed for a luxurious experience: thick white towels, malin+goetz hair and body products, a real hair dryer and all the right elements for maximum relaxation. The staff is genuinely polite and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served at any time you prefer and prepared by demand: fresh croissants and eggs, fruits and chocolate fondant with chef made ice cream. We liked the food so much we had two dinners and really enjoyed modern and sophisticated mix of ingredients and textures that combined to delicious meals. This place truly provides holistic boutique experience.

Wow! What a unique place! We were lucky enough to find a parking right outside the door - and from then on, we felt we were in our own private hotel (we occupied two of the four rooms). Breakfast was incredible - beautifully served, fresh, delicious and too much! Rooms were relatively small but the decor - wow! Right over the top. But best of all was being able to book the Turkish bath and jacuzzi, making it a really private and luxurious experience. Almost all staff were so friendly and helpful - we really enjoyed our stay.

They pampered us a lot with dinner and a Turkish Bath experience. Those are not things we normally do so it seemed a bit artificial. The room was great and we enjoyed the comfort.
The dinner that was complimentary took forever and we left after 90 minutes and before the entree was delivered from the kitchen; we were told it would be another 20 minutes and we felt that was entirely too long.

This is a boutique hotel worth visiting. It has historical value and preserved and re-done with style and quality. Really small, only 4 rooms. Done with extraordinary quality and attention to detail - from mattresses, to coffee machine in the room, through bathroom equipment. We only stayed one night and couldn't use the Turkish bath, but I am sure it's fantastic :-) Great service, polite and personal, the place is really clean and comfortable. Food is fantastic, outstanding breakfast quality, lunch menu is really good - small but impressive. Try the cocktails at the bar - wow :-) A bit on the expensive side, but worth the money.
Nothing big to mention. Since it's new and operating only for some months, I have provided the owner with detailed list of small recommendations, which could only make it even better - availability of lower pillows, noise when closing the outside door, etc.
